Delve deeper into the BlazBlue mythos and learn about events prior to Ragna the Bloodedge’s epic journey!

"XBLAZE CODE: EMBRYO" IS DEVELOPED BY ARC SYSTEM WORKS AND PUBLISHED BY AKSYS GAMES. IF YOU LIKE THE GAME, PLEASE SUPPORT THE DEVELOPERS AND PUBLISHERS BY BUYING THE GAME FROM: http://store.steampowered.com/app/421610/. THANK YOU!

Also please note that since I'm having hard time to find proper audition lines for this game, I want you all to IMPROVISE the lines. Make your OWN lines. I will probably add some lines directly from game but it will take a lot time since I have to put them in manually while game is running in background. But for now IMPROVISE. And no, I don't want to hear people whining me about the lack of lines, that's why I said that you gotta IMPROVISE, BECOME that character. I won't include the Bio/Information about the characters. You can read them yourself in here, under the "Characters" with links to each role. I only include their Personality.

On where it says "[Improvise]" on the characters' lines, go wild with the lines, imagine yourself being the character(s) you audition. You can talk/battle with someone or really whatever you come up with. I'll be looking forward everyone's auditions!

Goro Joizumi is a minor antagonist in XBlaze – Code: Embryo. He was detained by Es after he attacked Tōya Kagari in the Restricted Ward. His Drive is Screaming Jaw.

Two months prior to his appearance in the Restricted Ward, Goro was diagnosed as a Drive-Infected Patient during a routine check-up. Unfortunately, he lost his mind during his transition to a Phase-4 Union and began to run rampant throughout New Yokozaki City.

Goro's Discover Call was sensed by Tōya Kagari, and he was approached by the teenager. However, his delusional state convinced him that the young man was an enemy, and he open fired with his Drive, narrowly missing twice. He did manage to gain the upper hand as he held Tōya in his grip. As he was about to finish him off, he was sliced by Es, and mercilessly pummeled repeatedly until Tōya stood in between the two, berating Es for nearly killing him. Goro was then knocked out by Es and handed over to the Mitsurugi Agency's recovery team.

Yuki Himezuru [Side/Minor/Supporting Role]

Personality:

Yuki is a very outgoing and optimistic person who shows some signs of perverseness. She doesn't seem to mind taking in outsiders in her home, and can be very spontaneous. However, she has shown to have a more serious and knowledgeable side to herself as well, and cares very much to the well-being of others. Her relationship with Tōya Kagari and Hinata Himezuru demonstrates this, as she adopted the both of them once she became old enough, having made a promise to them both that they would be a family in the future.

She is well aware of the existence of Unions, containing an incredible amount of knowledge about their biology and treatment. At work, Yuki is far more strict and takes a no-nonsense approach with her patients.

At one point in her life, after the death of her parents, she became extremely depressed to the point of, aside eating and going to the restroom, doesn't do anything. After meeting Hinata, she regained her cheerfulness.

Personality:

Hinata appears to be a cheerful, kind, and polite person. She cares for everyone she meets, and treats everyone equally. Within minutes of meeting someone, she treats them as if she had known them for years.Although somewhat of a ditz, many characters find themselves comforted when around Hinata, finding her presence to be a calming one. Even as a small child, she was remarkably caring, crying at the mere thought of not being with Tōya Kagari and Yuki Himezuru. Because Yuki's job demands her to absent from the household, Hinata has taken over the motherly role of the family, being a central part of it.

Sechs ( a.k.a. "Deadly Sign" ) [Main Antagonist]

Personality:

Cold, mysterious, and unreadable. No one could tell what Sechs was thinking, being silent and keeping all he could to himself. He spoke little, even to his fellow Sages, and when he did, each word was filled with a passively strong tone that gave off a sense of wisdom and enlightenment. Sechs demonstrated a small amount of cockiness and self-worth, finding that he was above fighting with some individuals, and didn't wish to dirty his hands. Caring little for others, he even sent Acht to her death, barely caring as he did so. Before his interactions with the mysterious crystal, Sechs was described to being similar to Tōya Kagari, being far kinder and softer.

Akira Kamewari [Main Role]

Personality:

Generally acting as the comedy relief, Akira has bouts of jealously towards Tōya and his ever-growing group of females. Despite this comedic personality and ability to be easily flattered, he has a serious underside, showing no fear to a gang of thugs threatening to assault him. Like Tōya, he isn't a fan of violence, but he dislikes being seen as weak, even offering himself up to becoming a Drive-Infected Patient just to obtain the power he desired. He has strong, well-concealed, yet unreciprocated feelings for Hinata Himezuru, often doing his best to spend as much time as he can alone with her.

When he became a Union, he became far more aggressive, with his crush for Hinata evolving into a crazy obsession. He eventually became unable to recognize friend or foe.

Mei Amanohokosaka [Main Role]

Personality:

Personality-wise, Mei is hostile to all she meets. She is extremely hostile towards Kuon Glamred Stroheim due to her being from the Magic Guild. However, this usual hostility that is presented to everyone can usually be avoided by presenting excellent manners, and treating Mei as a pampered princess. Yet, despite this hostility, she and Kuon overcome their differences bonding over their tragedies of having lost a parent. The both of them argue constantly, but they remain firm friends despite this. Like many a teenager, Mei frequently blogs, and has been known to use text speech when updating her TOi; on top of this, she is an avid anime watcher, and is critical of what others watch, suggesting that Kuon watches 'B-tier slice-of-life crap'.

Underneath her hypercritical attitude, Mei is secretly quite caring of those around her, especially with family - effectively surrendering her freedom to the whims of the Mitsurugi Agency just so her family could live on. She visits her father in hospital everyday, becoming a favorite among the constant visitors and staff members. When angered, Mei has been known to swear in a colorful manner.

Personality:

Despite her numerous eccentric bouts of lectures about curry and it's mannerisms, Marcelyn is an intelligent woman who is perceptive and wise. She has no interest in the Azure since she believes it's power would make life boring by making the user omnipotent and omniscient; her philosophy on life dedicates itself to discovering things by oneself. Marcelyn also holds the view that "truth" is merely subjective.

Even when she was a member of the Ten Sages, she was extremely opinionated, never allowing herself to be constrained by the traditions of the Sages. She has a knowledge of mythology, using the mythical beast Pegasus in a poetic analogy for Drei's soul.

Personality:

Gruff, stubborn, and hardheaded - words that could easily describe Kazuto's usual demeanor. He treats the majority of the main cast as children, issuing them warnings about how they are not strong enough to deal with the tasks at hand, while also calling them 'brats' at the same time. He has a certain amount of respect for his own opponents, honestly listening to Drei's story of his own life without interrupting.

Despite his gruff exterior, Kazuto has a soft side, going out of his way to save Hinata Himezuru from a life made to control humanity. Although it's unknown what he did, Kazuto has a close relationship with Yuki Himezuru, and would do anything to protect her and her family.

Drei [Antagonist]

Personality:

Overly confident in his abilities, Drei was cocky, and extremely proud of his achievement of becoming one of the Ten Sages. Anyone who was an outsider to the Magic Guild was treated coldly, and even colder should they be a bounty hunter. He grew a fond attachment of his mentor Zwei, and expressed profound sadness when she left. After meeting Sechs, his only goal in life changed to see the new world that the Sage would create.

Despite his obsession with the Ten Sages, he felt that the majority of them, save for Zwei and Sechs, had not earned their place with the magical abilities, but were instead handed the title because of their family name. Zwei found his obsession to be annoying, and noted him to leave things on an awkward note.

He had a fairly healthy relationship with Acht, but was forced to constantly remind her to stay focused on the mission instead of indulging in her sadistic pleasures. His relationship with Sechs was one of admiration, as Drei was completely bedazzled by his skill and abilities.

Personality:

Kuon is a very hot-headed young woman. She has no tolerance for any form of malfeasance and will often try to become a white knight to those in need, of which often lands her in trouble. As well as this, she has a legendary temper, leading to her moniker; "Fire Empress Stroheim".

Even though she is somewhat hot-headed, Kuon is a bright young woman with an intelligent head on her shoulders. She has good classical knowledge, easily recognizing a butchered quote from Augustus Caesar, and suggesting that a quote from Caligula would have been better.

Originally, she would take on her own personal problems by herself, but by Lost: Memories, she has been more willing to accept help from others more often when needed. She has been noted to be an extremely hard worker, but she has learned to relax and take a break now and then thanks to Elise and Ringo.

Es [Main Role]
open

Personality:

Emotionless, steady, and objective focused. Es is the perfect soldier, her mission always comes first. When she first met Tōya Kagari, she did not care for him or any other person, being willing to hurt and even kill others that she was 'friends' with just so she could complete a mission. If Es did not understand a term, mainly because of the informality or colloquial speech, then she would forwardly ask what said term means, leading to unique, and awkward situations. For a time, she possessed no opinions due to her little interaction with people outside of the Agency, as well as this, Es possessed a habit of taking things too literally, annoying Tōya as he put up with her awkward social tendencies.

Possibly because of her initial lack of understanding towards humans, Es was prone to revealing information to others unnecessarily, and would often act in a robotic manner towards anyone conversing with her. She would also ignore the orders of anyone who was not her superior or essential to her mission objectives, leading to humorous circumstances; it was because of this tendency that she was seen as unerringly stubborn.

Her time with Tōya softened her, and she was able to feel more emotions as time progressed. When she failed to protect him from being knocked out by Kazuto Kotetsu, she gave him a heartfelt apology; even when Akira Kamewari went missing, Es became a sort of emotional crutch for Tōya to lean on. When she fell out with Tōya, she became visibly upset, signalling another emotional growth for her, albeit's discovery being bittersweet. Furthermore, she began to disobey direct orders from her ward, even beginning to emit emotion into her speech; the most notable example being when she outright denied detaining Tōya, instead opting to protect him from the Agency unit sent to retrieve him. When she inherited the Embryo, Es expressed a profound sadness at making Tōya bare the same burden as her since she felt herself as irredeemable after having taken so many lives.

She has also learned the true meaning of being family thanks to her interactions with Hinata and Yuki, which allowed her true self, a kind and noble girl, to emerge. She also developed a strong romantic love toward Tōya, who she labels as her dearest one and the most important person in her life. However, due to seeing her true love and her friends being killed by Freaks sent her into despair at being unable to save them and scattered her memories to escape from her heartbreak, showing how much they mean to her.

However, upon her rebirth in Lost: Memories, when she lost her memories, she became notably more cheerful and smiled more often, but still retains her curious outlook on life. Upon recovering her memories, she regained her proper and formal tone of speaking, along with retaining her newfound cheerfulness. After saving Tōya and the others, as well as recalling her (Nobody's) friend "Me", she has vowed to keep moving forward, no longer chained by her lonely past with newfound faith in herself, her friends, and the boy she loves, finally obtaining happiness in her life and no longer giving into despair.

Elise von Klagen [Supporting Role]

Personality:

Seemingly a paragon of politeness, Elise has won the approval of even Mei Amanohokosaka, a woman who hates members of the Magic Guild. Her love for Japanese culture extends to her having a longing for travelling all around it. She is praised for her perfect grades, earnest behaviour, and hard work, being a sensible worker with impeccable manners. She does have childish quirks, however, being likely to do immature acts for Kuon Glamred Stroheim's attention, even though she generally has it to begin with.

She has an unrequited love for Kuon, being one of her longest standing friends, and being one of the few people to properly understand her feelings. Ultimately, her relationship with Kuon may be comedic, but it's stronger than most may realize.

Soichiro Unomaru [Main Antagonist]

Personality:

Eccentric and big-headed, Sōichirō's real motives remained a mystery to everyone who knew him. After the loss of his parents, he developed a dangerous philosophy about humans and how they work. Although few could tell because of his bizarre persona.

He would often introduce himself with an odd title, usually to do with being the 'patron Saint of children'. Cruelly, Sōichirō would treat Es like a doll, not caring for her individual self, only viewing her as a machine to be used and thrown away. When he found out that Touya is a clone created from the Original Grimoire, although he hid it from him, no longer saw him as a living person and began to view him as nothing more then a "corpse".

Although he never believed himself to be one, Soichiro is also a hypocrite of his own beliefs. While he states everything he does is for the sake of humanity, he shows a lack of empathy for them, as he sacrificed and killed the Unions he was supposed to cure to harvest their crystals, forced Mei into working for using her father's condition, guilted Touya into helping him, showed no concern for Akira after removing his own crystal, and savagely beating Hinata for ruining his plans.

Personality:

More crazed and psychopathic than one could believe, Ripper was nothing short of twisted and sadistic. He fully enjoyed wanton slaying and hunting Unions. Despite possessing a Crystal and being utterly devoid of any positive emotion, Ripper was fully mentally capable, being clearly able to devise cunning strategies to give him an advantage in combat. He was also somewhat sharp, being able to discern Es as not being human after she dodged one of his attacks. He was also well known for doing what he wanted, which eventually lead to his demise.

Ripper was also barbarically sadistic, only getting any real joy out of his opponents helplessness and scared emotions. When Es failed to reveal any emotions for him to thrive off, Ripper commented on her being boring, asking if she was 'as dead on the inside as she is on the outside'. In order to help strike fear and panic into his prey's hearts, he also possessed multiple bombs that were molotov-like in their design as they ignited the area around them.

Acht [Antagonist]

Personality:

Devoted to Sechs, Acht was a confident young woman who was a master of manipulation. Despite being enemies with Kuon Glamred Stroheim and several others, she would give them helpful advice when they proved their combat prowess to her. She and Drei had a fairly good relationship, but she would often become annoyed when he lectured her about their mission.

She hated the weak and those that whine, finding Tōya Kagari in particular to be extremely annoying. If someone had thoroughly annoyed her, she would attempt to kill them with her magic; something she was cockily confident in.

Her devotion to Sechs was down to her love for him, which was proven in her final moments as she attempted to proclaim it. Despite the fact that she knew becoming a Drive-Infected Patient would kill her, she still accepted the consequences, sacrificing herself for Sechs own needs.

Personality:

He has a very curious and gentle personality and goes out of his way to resolve any fights around him, even if it results in personal injury to himself (This, however, may stem from the single memory of his mother telling him to "Protect".). He also has a strong sense of obligation, such as the fact that he believes that his mother (and possibly he himself) was at fault for a large incident that occurred which resulted in his only survival, and is therefore responsible for "repenting" in some way. He eventually hardens up as time passes, and even opens up Es to an emotional perspective and he eventually started to develop romantic feelings for Es, who also had the same feelings for him. It's shown that his strong love for Es allows him to subconsciously remember her even after he had his memories erased.

Akio Osafune was a minor antagonist in XBlaze – Code: Embryo until he met his fate at the hands of Ripper. His Drive was Iron Shooter. Akio belonged to a gang within Shin Yokozaki City, the gang in question tried to hunt down Akira Kamewari. Akio was after the Original Grimoire because of a promise that Sechs had made to him; retrieve the Grimoire from Tōya Kagari, and be cured of the status of a Drive-Infected Patient. At the time, Akio was in Phase 3.

Interrupting Akira being cornered by a group of thugs, Akio himself was unable to attack the young man as Kuon Glamred Stroheim mysteriously appeared and defeated every delinquent present. Akio's mentality began to dwindle as Tōya sensed his Discover Call, and arrived alongside Es; recognizing Kuon and Akira as enemies, Akio fired his Drive at the two of them and made a hasty escape.

Tōya and Es tracked down Akio's Discover Call, only leading the Union to fire his Drive at them repeatedly until he asked for Tōya's name. When he got his answer, Akio manically laughed, questioning the young man as to how he found him. He quickly changed his tone and screamed at Tōya to give him the 'Grimoire', attacking with his Drive again, but each shot was effortlessly deflected by Es. Having had enough, Akio launched a steel tower at the duo, but it was destroyed by the recently arrived Kuon. The Union's position was given away by the mage and Es knocked him out, binding his hands a short time after.

When he awoke, Akio was interrogated by Es and Tōya as Kuon watched on. After having been physically attacked by Es when he refused to cooperate, Akio gave in and told them everything they wished to know until his Crystal jumped into Phase 4. Acht soon arrived and stood on his body, claiming that she and Drei had arrived to discipline their 'pet' - the Ten Sages then disappeared with Akio draped across Drei's shoulders.Drei was about to dispose of Akio as he reached Phase 5, finding that he was no longer of any use. Unfortunately, Ripper dispelled some of Drei's barrier and entered, killing Akio. A report from the Mitsurugi Agency found that Ripper had pierced his cranium 4 times and dealt multiple slash wounds to his abdomen, brutally killing him; Ripper then devoured his Crystal soon afterwards after gouging out his wrists to find it.

The Embryo Storage – New units, known also simply as Es-N, are eight antagonists in XBlaze – Code: Embryo. They are mindless artificial beings who answer only to Sōichirō Unomaru, their creator. The ninth Es-N was in development at the time of her sister units and creators death; she was adopted by Mei Amanohokosaka.

Artificial, mindless beings who answer only to their creator, Sōichirō Unomaru. The eight Es-N units are frighteningly powerful and often act in packs. They are powerful enough to even hold out against the Original Grimoire.

The first of the Es-N units appeared in front of Es and Tōya Kagari. She was ordered to attack the both of them, catching up to Es after they fled. Having had Es' battle data stored in her memory banks, she was able to fight with a definite advantage against the older unit. The unit was unable to keep up as Es developed during the battle, making all previous data useless; the unit was killed.

Four more units guarded Sōichirō as he talked to Tōya about his ideals. When ordered to attack, they stabbed their weapons into each of his arms and legs, pinning him. The remaining three units attacked Es several hundred floors above where the other four remained, however, the three units were destroyed by Mei Amanohokosaka and Kuon Glamred Stroheim. The last four units attempted to take on Sechs of the Ten Sages when he arrived, but were immediately killed within mere seconds.

After the death of her sister units and Unomaru, the last Es-N was adopted by Mei Amanohokosaka. She proves to be a valuable asset in the extraction of Drive-Infected Patient.
