Wraithstone is set to be a tabletop Role Playing game Book set in the wild west era in the United States of America with the twist being that it has fantasy elements weaved in since the dawn of early civilization. How the ways of Magic, Bows, and Horses are being left behind for that of the Machine, the Rifle, and Trains. Where the unrefined ways of old fade into myth and legend only to be replaced by more modern and progressive civilization. Where Dwarf Oil barons and Goblin Industrialists grow rich and fat. Where Dragons are no longer a force to be feared by the common folk, but a source of great income if you can find one to carve up. Where Necromancy a long-feared art has been banned in use by The Signatory nations of the Geneva Convention. There are few places in the world where people fear to tread, great railroads and mighty new trade ships connect much of the known world as we know it. A Time when the last nation to allow the vile act of slavery has finally been dismantled as hundreds of thousands of American lives were lost to preserve the union and fight for what is right.
Many say that America is the final frontier left to conquer as thousands of settlers from across the world come over to this reunited country to make a life for themselves. Though there are many dangers still out there from the horrors of the West. From Mule Gangs roaming the countryside to dragons hiding in old mining towns to a rouge caster raising the dead and disturbing the peace. People forgot the worries of the faraway places they call home in the frontier only thing that matters is survival for the common folk. Those who possess a wild heart untamed yet by civilization and looking for their fortune out on the frontier will find their fair share of troubles from the humble bounty hunter to the fastest gunslinger will need both skill and luck if they wish to beat the specter of death that looms over them from every gunfight to a close call with a Wendigo. To these brave souls, you should tip your hat as not everyone is brave enough to roll their dice with the reaper.

Hey there thank you very much for reading this and making it this far. I appreciate you taking the time to read the following work. As stated before I wish for this to be a unique tabletop experience where the Game master is dead and the players are the few souls ready to go toe to toe with them to claim their place in history or to get that big score for them to retire for the rest of their lives that is if they don’t blow it all in one sitting. I am no professional writer sadly and need the help of several individuals to help make this vision of mine become reality. What I am good at are game mechanic design, world-building, and story crafting. The goal is planned is that once more progress is done around 30%-40% to start a Kick starter and other fundraising projects to pay the writers and artists who helped get this project out there. The end goal is to get this book out in hardcover or signed up with a publisher of some sort. I am confident in the game system I have designed for this TTRPG all I need is a bit of help refining and polishing both the world and mechanics.
Though there is one thing I would like to hear more opinions on as I am still debating whether to use a parallel of our world for the fantasy setting or to build its world from the ground up. I think the parallel to our world draws a uniqueness to it. Though do note I am avoiding that steampunk and that gadgeteer design that you typically see. I am surprised by how few Western-style RPG's there are as there is only one TTRPG book that has covered this type of setting and it has not been updated in years. I believe there is an untapped market for this type of marriage between Western and fantasy that does not depend on the steampunk atheistic.
