Worldshapers - Voice Testing
Project Overview
Worldshapers is about beings of unimaginable power who are living embodiments of aspects of reality. It mainly focuses on Ata and her crusade to save her siblings and the world from the corruption of their master, the Monitor, who seeks to end the world for his own nefarious and mysterious desires.
I would love to see how people take the characters within and give them soul and breath. While I do have preferences and lines given, this project is super open-ended and frankly I just want to see the voice talent of this site and what they can do. This is practice and a chance to talk talent. Not a project that's getting off the ground any time soon. I still have a long way to go.
While I have lines given and some have voice ideas, feel free to do a second audition with your own spin and lines! Have fun and explore these characters with me! It doesn't matter your skill level or how good you think you are, I am looking forward to any effort you put forward!
Also feel free to audition multiple times for one role! You got several kinds of takes you want for a character? Maybe you want to do one script read and one improv? Feel free to do whatever!

Ata is the youngest of the Siblings and currently the youngest Worldshaper entirely, being only 100 years old at the highest estimation. However she is also among their more powerful members, if not the most powerful.
Ata is the Worldshaper of Creativity, Imagination, Creation, Sapience, Vengeance, Ire, and more. She has taken it upon herself to seek out her corrupted siblings and either save them from corruption or relieve them of their duty in hopes of saving humanity and overthrowing their twisted master, the Monitor.

And you thought this was worth a Worldshaper's time? Really.
I suppose if I have enough time, I could see if your mortal plights are worthy of such an intervention from us.
Stop this. People have died because of you. The sister I knew would never have let this happen! The Monitor is twisting your fears - your pain! He's making you into monsters! Either snap out of it - or... or [Steeled] I will have to relieve you of your duty...

Tsk Tsk Tsk. Logic of the brain triumphs all. Including your barbaric attempts to sway me with your pitiful displays, girl.
I have no reason to explain anything to you, girl. All that must be done is wipe the slate clean.
Such a shame this is how we are to meet, young Ata. Especially a shame to see you're as pitiable as our other siblings.
Vias is the eldest sister of the Worldshapers and was raised by her two older brothers at the request of their master, the Monitor.
Vias is the Worldshaper of Dreams, Wonder, Comfort, Stagnation, Sloth, and Sleep
Vias would take on a motherly role, taking raising the younger Worldshaper siblings upon herself, however once The Great Schism occurred and the Monitor's corruption took root, Vias' worst traits were magnified and eventually she left the family and further allowed the world to spiral into chaos.

*Yawns* I don't care, little vixen. I've given everything to help humans, but I'm done with it. Me time from now on.
[Angry] You rotten little-! What a disrespectful little vixen, you are! I'll show *you* disrespect!
If you're going to be such a bore, *yawns* I'll get some shut eye. Wake me up when you're done playing, honey.

Let's see, what should I use now. Ah! How about, this-!
No end to the endless, doll. I can do whatever I want. After all, I am *The Strongest*.
Too bad you're so weak! Maybe I could of seen why Might's so uppity, [says while sighing disappointedly] but instead you're just another waste of my time.

Stand up, worm! Show me you're worth even daring to stand before me!
Normally hitting women is for the weak. But if you are to force my hand, what kind of gentleman would I be to deny a lady her clearly greatest desire?
I! AM! THE STRONGEST!
Heramis is the fifth Worldshaper and was the youngest daughter until Ata was born. Her aspects are that of Perspective, Family, Perfection, Beauty, Desire, Despair.
Heramis was known to be doting, loving, and a great sibling to all her family. However, as the corruption took hold, Heramis slowly became more and more of a perfectionist until all that remained was her desire for perfection, morphing into a desire to wipe the slate clean and start a new perfect world in her image and hers alone.
Heramis is known to be able to shapeshift into whatever the viewer finds the most desirable and always wears a mask as her visage is able to instantly charm any to view it into becoming mindless thrall.

There's no place for second in the world I am building, little one. Only perfection. Beauty.
You will not stand in my way! This must be done!
Tell me your desire, King of Man... I could be it, if that wins your allegiance for all eternity.
Eschaton is the second eldest of the Worldshapers, only surpassed by Shol. Eschaton's traits are that of Death, Comfort, Finality, Fate, and Endings.
Eschaton's nature is wrapped in mystery. He acted as the father figure to all the other siblings who came after him. Might, Vias, Heramis, Legacy, Progeny, Pallas, Ata. He raised them all through thick and thin, all the while he had to play the role of villain to humanity. To be that of the end of all things. To the end of life, death. To be the end of a story, conclusion. To be the end of everything, fate.
Eschaton was the second to last to leave Ata, needing to in order to try and stop his siblings from destroying the world. However now it seems he too has fallen to the Monitor's corruption as death spreads unchecked and fate is as certain as ever yet bleaker than ever. If fate is not changed, the world world will die.
Eschaton's voice is that of a loving father who knows he's not enough. That his family is falling apart and he's trying his best to keep everything the same and okay for those too young to understand. Yet when serious he has a voice cold enough to silence rooms.

This is not the end. It never has to be. Only once fate decrees so am I called.
Come to confess your sins?
I didn't want to do this, Ata. But now that you are old enough to care for yourself, I must depart to try and stop our siblings. This cannot continue.
Pallas is the youngest son amongst the Worldshapers and was the youngest of them all for a long time before Ata was born. Early in his years he was babied and pampered by his siblings, but quickly his aspects began to show. Often he’d challenge Might for the aspects of masculinity and fire, and often he’d win just as often as he’d lose and as such the aspects would often change hands.
Pallas is the Worldshaper of War, Love, Passion, Violence, Rage, and currently Fire

You shouldn't have come here, Ata. This is a war. Don't make me hurt you.
I don't want to fight you, Ata. But if bloodshed is what you want, what better way than by your own brother...
Had enough yet!? Just remember this was your choice!
The Monitor’s Watcher or simply just the Watcher is a creation of the Monitor used to observe and keep tabs on the Worldshapers while he is busy with other things.
The Watcher looks like a large television or computer monitor attached to the walls and ceiling via cords. It has a valve at the bottom center of its front that seemingly allows for it to manifest any firearm it needs at the moment, regardless of placement in time (ex: It could use a machine gun during the Dark Ages or a ray gun during the Industrial Revolution.)
The Watcher shares its master’s sass and regular demeaning comments towards its fellow creations, but also is extremely loyal and zealous to the Monitor. Any disparaging comments made toward the entity will draw the Watcher’s ire and it will do whatever it can to rectify the insult. Despite its seemingly underwhelming appearance, most Worldshapers begrudgingly respect the Watcher as it seems to have a strange ability to nullify the divine nature of a Worldshaper and render them mortal and extremely weak as long as it desires. Along with this it’s assumed the Monitor can simply make a new one if it ever was destroyed.
The Watcher believes it is above all of the Monitor’s other creations and all of creation itself for that matter, and regularly points out where others fall short compared to it and how perfect the Monitor made it. Asking it if it believes it’s more perfect than even the Monitor or potentially even The Creator seems to shut it up for a bit while it reflects on the question. But repeatedly using this question may draw its ire.
Above all of the Worldshapers, the Watcher dislikes Legacy the most as his purely logical mind regularly dismantles its preening. However with Legacy corrupted and separated from his siblings, now Ata has taken the role as his most hated as she still has faith and desire to return her family to good. It despises her for how strange she is and how she doesn’t fit the pattern of her family up until then. How alien she looks, how unnaturally powerful she is, how she defies the pattern of the usual Worldshaper lifecycle, her utter disinterest in disciples or Demixes, and more. Because of this the Watcher often finds reasons to relay a message from the Monitor to Ata solely so it has an excuse to relentlessly bully her. Though until given the order by its master, mean words it all it can do to her until it’s finally able to show her just how much it despises her guts to defy the Monitor.
The Watcher has the most punchable voice you can think of. It thinks it's above everything and everyone. It believes it's the bees knees, the horse's hoof, the human's brain, whatever metaphor or simile needed to convey it's a narcissist full on through. The worst part is it can back up its preening. Every time the Watcher talks I want the listener to think "I cannot *wait* to see your ego be shattered into little bits and then your face next." Either gendered voice works too.

Finally leaving your crib, little beast? What joy! Now even *you* get to see the flaws in humanity.
Hey, little short thing not worth my time but Master says I have to deal with you anyways. Message from higher up. The Monitor sent me to tell you that *ahem* "You suck, you're a freak of nature, and your family doesn't want you anymore so go cry more and then delete yourself." Sorry, I'm just the messenger but that's *definitely* what it says. Now go obey orders you pile of trash!
*Again*, godling? [Small chuckle under breath while saying] Again? Can't you see humanity and your siblings don't want you anymore. You're trash. Worthless. Unneeded pile of filth!
A being of unknown origin or even appearance, The Monitor is rumored to be the true eldest of the Worldshapers, being the Worldshaper of Worldshapers. Where they’re all siblings, he is their progenitor. However other theories state he is an angel sent by The Creator to oversee and control the Worldshapers and its might is godly in origin by divine order. Others still say he simply is nothing more than a fear mongering something that is just smoke and mirrors. However no true answer can be known due to his illusive nature.
The Monitor appears as a cluster of monitors across Shaperspace and oversees all actions the Worldshapers take. The Monitor is strict, to the point, and speaks in the low tone. He often doesn’t seem to understand how important things are to his subjects, yet is stated to be by far the strongest of the Worldshapers, with even Shol, chaos and boundlessness itself, being powerless compared to him. He also does not waste an opportunity to burn and insult his subjects, especially Ata and Might, for some reason.
The Monitor only ever speaks to siblings individually and only ever talks on his own time. Though do not mistake the Monitor’s calm nature for caring. He is ruthless and has gotten all Worldshapers scared straight under his heel, except for Ata, whose young age has left her undisciplined. Something he is determined to fix one day.
The Monitor is the main antagonist of Worldshapers and it's Ata's end goal after either freeing or defeating all of her corrupted siblings to bring down the Monitor and free the world from his gaze.

Come now, dear. Do you *honestly* think I would flip the world upside down and ruin your family just for kicks? No. Bigger pieces are at play that you will never be able to grasp. So stop attempting to understand what you cannot and trust your master knows what he is doing.
There's no need for this conflict. What you call "corruption" is merely your family seeing my way. They're not "corrupted", they're convinced. Such narrow-minded talk from a narrow-minded child!
Insolent girl. Perhaps I have one more question for The Creator when I return him to our realm. I shall ask why he made women such fickle and unreasonable witches! Case number one will be you, girl...
‘Dark Ata’ as Ata has come to start calling it, is a strange creation by the Monitor to replace Ata in his grand plan after she failed to be affected by The Great Schism's corruption like all of her siblings.
Dark Ata appears to have many of its frame’s personalities; being feisty, self confident, needing constant validation, and headstrong. However it is without anything the Monitor may see as a flaw such as her attachments to her creations and humanity. It also is made up of a strange non-newtonian-like material that The Monitor claims only he can make and use.
When deployed, Dark Ata manifests itself from its puddle of mass and begins its duty. Dark Ata is nigh unkillable as all attempts to destroy it merely leave it dispersed and will reform within seconds. If hit with a hard enough attack it may take longer and repeated breaks may overload its factor and cause its healing to take far longer. In combat, unlike its frame, Dark Ata doesn’t rely on shaperpaint or weaponry, rather its own body. Due to being essentially liquid metal, Dark Ata can form pieces of its body into any weapon it wants. From mimicking Ata’s tendrils, making its arms into swords, to creating a swarm of needles. It’s able to control all pieces of itself even if they’re attached to its greater body or not. This allows Dark Ata to be as versatile as it needs to be and the Monitor believes it’s his best creation, much to the Emissary’s jealous ire.
Dark Ata often is referred to by others as female, but it technically does not have a gender due to simply being a living liquid substance. However this has caused errors within its mind, as The Monitor manually removed all things of Ata that he believed may cause Dark Ata to be less than perfectly loyal. Yet ironically this has caused Dark Ata to become unstable as holes in her mind has caused many errors and gaps to form. These areas are slowly being filled every time she fights Ata or is sent to set another Worldshaper straight. It’s only a matter of time until something within Dark Ata changes irreparably.
Along with this, due to Dark Ata being modeled after Ata and whatever it’s made up of, it technically became a Worldshaper. Quickly it’d involuntarily take the traits of stillness, artblock, malaise, and stagnation. Not in the way of Vias in the way of willing avoidance, rather the loss of one’s muse. The desire to make is there, but the mind’s eye is not. It’d also claim that of freedom and rebellion, despite being immensely loyal to the Monitor. What this could mean is cause for concern on both sides.

Welcome do your darker side.
This isn't the end. There's always a new approach that you will fail to account for.
You are imperfect. Still growing. Changing. I am perfection. Unchanging, unneeding to. You cannot defeat what you cannot surpass.

[Kingly] That's far enough, divine one. Come to take more from us? [Determined] I will have none of it anymore! If this world is to burn, it will not be under the command of one appointed by High Lord Odes himself!
[Exhausted, seemingly ready to accept death] You oppose this ending? [Boisterous Laughter] Why, you should of led with that, small godling! I must say you have given me the best fight in one hundred years. Guards! Get this fine lady proper homing. Use my chambers if needed! A Divine One worthy of our reverence has appeared!
[Solemn] My daughter... her strength is nowhere near enough to led us should I fall. And given how the world is so ever near to the end, I will soon to prolong it even just mere hours. If I fall, but the world is saved, will you care for Thrûd? And if we fail... please tell her I'm sorry and give her a hug for me...
