⭐Story Premise⭐

The story follows Ethan Cross, a skilled mercenary known by his alias “Cross.” Haunted by the ghosts of his past, Ethan lives by his own code in a city that’s forgotten what morality means. He takes dangerous contracts, working for the highest bidder – but never without conscience.

Ethan’s life spirals into chaos when he’s pulled into a conspiracy involving two dominant corporations: SynthTech, a company responsible for controlling citizens through cybernetic enhancements, and Hyperlink, a shadowy entity manipulating Aetheris from behind the scenes. Through his missions, Ethan becomes entangled with Lira Voxendell (Kovac) a manipulative yet graceful fighter whose connection to SynthTech runs deeper than she admits. Their relationship becomes a storm of tension, chemistry, and emotional conflict, blending the story’s romantic and tragic undertones.

As Ethan navigates betrayal, bloodshed, and the blurred morality of the city, he uncovers secrets that challenge the very nature of humanity itself. What does it mean to be human when one’s memories, emotions, and body can all be replaced? What remains of the heart when it’s wired into a machine?

-

Setting: Aetheris City

The heart of the story beats within Aetheris City, a sprawling urban megacity that stretches across the horizon like a labyrinth of steel and light. Inspired by the towering skylines of Tokyo and New York, Aetheris is a metropolis divided by class, power, and corruption.

The upper layers of the city — known as the High Sector — are home to corporate elites, synthetic lifeforms, and powerful corporations like Hyperlink and SynthTech. These corporations dictate the laws of society, selling cybernetic enhancements and neural implants that blur the line between human and machine. The High Sector gleams with mirrored skyscrapers, holographic advertisements, and digital perfection — but beneath the surface lies a hidden rot.

Below, in the Low Sectors, life is far different. The streets are soaked with rain and smog, illuminated only by flickering neon lights and the glow of malfunctioning drones. Here, black market dealers, mercenaries, and hackers struggle to survive. Every alley holds a secret, and every shadow hides someone desperate enough to kill for a handful of credits.

Aetheris City itself becomes more than just a backdrop — it’s a living, breathing organism. Its arteries are the data lines that connect every citizen, its heartbeat is the hum of machines, and its soul is the flicker of humanity left within those who refuse to give in to mechanical conformity.

So! With all that said. My Cyberpunk audio drama visual novel will be releasing on YouTube

Lucien Cross

Identity:

Ethan Cross’s younger brother and one of HyperLink’s most dangerous operatives.

Appearance:

Tall and lean with pale skin, silver-black hair, and cybernetic implants running along his neck and spine. His eyes glow faint cyan due to advanced neural augmentation. Wears sleek corporate combat attire with HyperLink insignias.

Personality:

Cold, intelligent, emotionally conflicted, and highly disciplined. Beneath his corporate conditioning, fragments of his old self still survive.

Backstory:

Lucien was kidnapped during the citywide blackout and taken into SynthTech’s experimental augmentation program. There he endured years of neural rewriting, cybernetic enhancement, and psychological conditioning designed to transform children into living weapons.

Among all the test subjects, only two consistently exceeded expectations: Lucien Cross and Lira Voxendell.

The two trained together under brutal conditions and became rivals within the program. Lucien adapted through obedience and emotional suppression, while Lira quietly learned to resist. Over time, Lucien was transferred into HyperLink’s internal operations division due to his exceptional synchronization with neural warfare systems.

HyperLink reshaped him into an elite operative specializing in infiltration, surveillance disruption, and tactical combat. Officially, Lucien believes Ethan abandoned him years ago.

Unofficially, part of him still remembers his brother.

Voice Description

Lucien speaks with a calm, controlled, and emotionless tone. His voice is smooth and precise, rarely changing volume or pace. 💀⚡ Kael Stratos

Age: 47

Alias: "Reaper"

Role: Leader of The Grid Reapers

Personality:

Quiet, observant, calculating, sarcastic, and highly intelligent. Kael rarely shows strong emotion and prefers to let information do the talking. He's patient enough to spend months planning a single operation and paranoid enough to prepare for dozens of contingencies. While many view him as cold, those closest to him know he's fiercely protective of his people.

Appearance:

A tall, lean man of Japanese and Greek descent with pale skin and sharp features. His dark hair is usually messy, often falling over one eye. His clothing consists of black tactical streetwear reinforced with smart-fiber armor, illuminated by shifting blue-purple patterns. A digital mask that goes over half the bottom of his face.

Backstory:

Kael Stratos was once one of HyperLink's promising systems architects.

His work focused on infrastructure security, neural networking, and city-wide data management systems. Brilliant but curious, Kael eventually discovered something buried deep within HyperLink's classified archives.

Something he was never supposed to see.

The files detailed illegal surveillance operations, identity manipulation programs, memory-altering technologies, and thousands of citizens who had effectively been erased from existence.

Days after accessing the data, Kael vanished. Officially, HyperLink declared him dead after months of silence

Using stolen resources and hidden backdoors he had helped design, Kael established himself within the Warden District's digital underworld. There he founded the Grid Reapers, recruiting hackers, rogue programmers, cyber-assassins, and digital infiltrators. Over time, Kael became more myth than man.

Voice Description

Kael speaks with a smooth, low, relaxed voice. His tone is calm and often carries dry humor, even during dangerous situations. He rarely sounds angry, preferring subtle mockery and quiet confidence.

Voice description:

Personality: Elegant, composed, intelligent, and ruthlessly manipulative. Nyxara never raises her voice because she never needs to. Every word is carefully chosen, every smile deliberate. Appearance: A striking African American woman with a graceful, commanding presence. Long black hair cascades over one shoulder, contrasting the sleek cybernetic plating that replaces the left half of her face. She wears an elegant black and emerald tactical coat lined with biotech fibers, accented by gold serpent motifs. Hidden injectors and toxin dispersal systems are seamlessly integrated into her cybernetics, making every movement appear effortless and refined.

Backstory: Nyxara Vance climbed through La Luna's criminal elite by destroying organizations from within. Rather than relying on violence alone, she mastered deception, infiltration, and manipulation, turning allies against each other before delivering the final strike herself.

Name: Jade Haller

Alias: None known (operates anonymously)

Age: 26

Height: 5’7

Occupation: Underground Computer Genius | Ex–SynthTech Engineer

Affiliation: Independent (Formerly SynthTech)

Appearance

Jade is a dark-skinned woman with a reserved, unassuming presence. She dresses for function over fashion—hooded jackets, gloves, and layered techwear designed to obscure her silhouette and identity. She rarely shows her face in public or on camera, relying on voice modulators and encrypted avatars instead.

She has only a few minor implants, mostly internal—data ports and neural assists designed for speed and processing rather than combat. Compared to most of Aetheris City, she is mostly human, something she deliberately keeps that way.

Personality

Jade is intelligent, cautious, and deeply private. She’s highly observant and speaks only when necessary, but when she does, her words are precise and cutting. Years of corporate surveillance have made her paranoid, but not without reason.

She values truth, autonomy, and freedom of choice above all else. Jade has a quiet moral compass—she doesn’t see herself as a hero, but she refuses to be complicit in control or exploitation. Trust does not come easily to her, but once earned, she is fiercely loyal

  • “You won’t find my face in a database. I burned that version of myself a long time ago.”
