Winx Club Comic Fandub
Project Overview
This project is a fandub of the Winx Club comic series based on the original tv show Winx Club created by Iginio Straffi.
From 2012, the company VIZ media, in accompany with Nickelodeon, created the winx club comic series. Over 200 comics have been created so far, each translated from the original Italian to allow it to reach international audiences. Whilst the Winx Club series as a whole is quite popular, the comic series has skipped the minds of many fans. Therefore, with the project, I am hoping to reach this series out to a whole new audience. For the winx fans and the non-winx fans alike, I am hoping to create a fandub over the original comics to create a sort of visual novel. This allows those who are not interested in reading comics, or those who would rather watch something, still be able to consume the media!
Within the comic series, the first twelve issues follow the natural story of the original tv show, and then, the further issues branch out into new adventures. From this, I am hoping to start this project from the very first comic, and then naturally progressing so that viewers are able to follow along with the story as intended! Therefore, this is a long-running project, so I do ask for commitment from those who choose to audition.
If this interests you, I would so greatly love for you to audition. Here are the rules that I would like to be followed, below!
Rules:
- Have a decent sounding mic. As long as their is no static and the lines are delivered without any echos, I am happy! I have heard a lot of good work done on just a phone as long as you're in a good environment!
- Communication will be done via discord through a server, so please leave your discord ID in the description of your audition.
- Respect the deadlines. I give around 3-4 weeks after the scripts are sent out to have lines in, though, I am more than happy to give an extension if need ve, just require some communication!
- Use emotion! The characters can't exhibit as much emotion in comic form, so I need a lot of it to be done through your voice! Don't be afraid!
- Please do 3 takes of each line, with differing variations each time. Ad-libbing or changing the lines in anyway to make it flow better is also welcomed!
- Have fun! This is just a silly and fun project that can be used to improve your and my own voice acting whilst having some fun with others!

Musa is a tomboy and a fairy with the power of music. She has a higher raspy voice, but I am open to any interpretations of the character. Either the 4Kids or Rai dub versions of Musa's voice work, or if you would like to try something of your own, go ahead!

(sad, embarrassed) "Don't you dare tell anyone I cried."
(transformation line) "Winx! Enchantix!"
Tecna is a shy and awkward character who seems to always never know what to say. She is roommates with Musa whilst at Alfea and is the fairy of technology. She struggles with emotions but that doesn't stop her from being a good friend. I am open to any interpretation of Tecna's voice, though, in the original dubs, she has quite a high voice with a more matter of fact tone.

"Valisto. Fourth world of Magix upper realm. Well known for its renowned artists and tradition. It's beaches are very popular with tourists."
"It's illogical. Why would you want to be a part of something where all that matters is how you look?"
(transformation line) "Winx! Enchantix!"
Layla (or Aisha, she has two names), is a sporty and confident character. She is an incredibly loyal friend and would do anything to protect them. Whilst she joined the group later, she was still welcomed with open arms. Layla's voice is a little deeper than the other girls but still feminine. She is the fairy of waves.

(frantic) "Headmistress, please, if he is dangerous, you have to tell me. The pixies are in trouble."
(transformation line) "Winx! Enchantix!"
Prince and heir to the throne of Eraklyon. Specialist at Red Fountain. Takes his duties as crown prince very seriously, so sometimes loses sight of being a good friend and partner. Overall a good guy! Deeper voice though a happy guy, so his words are quite light.

(apologetic, yet joking) "I don't think you'll be needing any make-up here."
(panicked, yet trying to stay calm) "I know what your heart is like, I've felt it. Your heart is full of light Bloom."
(nervous, caught) "Eh... ehm-ehm... we just... well you know, we missed you guys so eh... surprise!"
Riven is a very brooding and arrogant character. He is afraid of appearing weak, so is pretty rude to everyone he meets. He eventually develops a soft spot for Musa, and can be a good friend to his fellow specialists. Riven has a deep and raspy-ish voice, and says everything like he is the smartest person in the room.

(rude) "Oh come on, Sky, you're the one who said you wanted to make a splashy entrance!"
(heartwarming) "Promise you'll come back to me. I don't know what I would do without you, Musa. Ok?"
Timmy is the most typical geeky guy. He is obsessed with his gadgets and is often made fun of by RIven for the fact. He is a very shy, awkward and nervous guy, though, can stand up for himself when need be.

(frantic, crying) "Stop it! Tecna's not gone!"

Helia is an artist and poet, also described as a pacifist by the other specialists, showing that he sees everything differently from them. He is incredibly soft-spoken and would hardly raise his voice. This does not stop him from having a deeper voice, though, still soft.

Brandon is quite superficial like Stella, and believes he is incredibly desirable. Though, he remains undyingly loyal to Stella. He is quite fun-loving and playful, so is always ready to crack jokes when need be. He has quite a deep voice, though is quite light with his words to not sound too serious

(taken-aback) "Stella what are you doing? Are you crazy? She's just a helpless girl!"
Icy is an incredibly cruel witch from Cloud Tower. With the other members of the Trix, she is set on ruling the Magic Dimension and nothing would be able to stop her from getting what she wants. She lacks empathy, and only looks out for herself. She has a very smooth and deeper voice.

(teasing) "Yeah! But once you lose the flame you'll be just a figure head..."
Darcy is the witch of darkness and a member of the Trix. She is very cunning and sharp and also won't let anything stop her from getting what she wants. She has a medium toned voice.

Stormy is a crazed and hot-headed member of the Trix and easily lashes out if someone were to offend her. She is never afraid to say what she thinks and will bully those she feels are below her relentlessly. She has a raspy and medium toned voice and is very emotive.

Ms Faragonda is the headmistress of Alfea. She is elderly and speaks quite soft-spoken and calmly. She is very powerful, though, also very humble.

(joking) "Welcome to Alfea! The best fairy school in the whole of Magix. Mind you, it's also the only one."
"Good luck, everybody, I'll see you all tomorrow. Oh... and classes start at 8 o' clock sharp. Do be punctual."
(heartfelt) "Musa, listen to me. You're just as important as your friends. Your powers will be needed soon enough."
The superintendent of Alfea. Ms Griselda is a very serious and brutal woman when managing the students, though, can also have a soft side and takes pride in taking care of everyone. She has a snarky type voice and is quite proper.

"Ladies, here comes your Headmistress. Attention!"
"I didn't think there were any fairies left on Earth..."
Professor Wizgiz is a small and hearty professor who takes pride in his ability to shape shift. He is quite cheeky and will cause plenty of mischief among the other staff members. Preferably he would have a Irish accent, though I am open to anything. He has quite a high voice due to his small size.
