Wings of Fire | Casting Call | Moon Rising
Project Overview
Hello!! I am looking for voice actors for the first three chapters of the book "Moon Rising" in the series "Wings o Fire". I would really appreciate it if you gave a shot at auditioning!
Brief summary of rules (this can all be found in the doc below)
- Please state the name which you would like to be credited as somewhere in your audition
- Read each line 2-3 times
- You do not have to be the gender of age range shown for these characters
- You may be cast as a character you didn't initially audition if I think you voice is better suited for another character
- This is a long-term project so please don't audition if you don't think that you will stay committed
- Please join the Discord server after your audition, or else your audition will not be valid
- A microphone isn't mandatory, as long as you have clear audio with no background noise
- I am accepting .wav, .mp3, Casting Call club and Youtube videos as auditions
- Send your auditions through Discord DMs, through the Discord server or through Casting Call Club
- The deadline is the 1st of June
- Most importantly, have fun with your audition! Don't be scared to try out, there are a lot of roles to fill!

MOONWATCHER

Traits: Shy, stubborn, anxious, awkward, bookworm, reserved, determined, thoughtful
[anxious, weary, reluctant] I know, Stay secret. Stay hidden. Stay safe. So isn't this really dangerous? What if I make a mistake here, with all these different kinds of dragons around?
[cold, confident, soft] All right. But please stop trying to scare me. You are not as terrifying as you think you are.
[panicked, demanding, scared] Who are you? How are you doing that?!
TURTLE

Traits: Quiet, chill, laid back, friendly, persistent, easygoing, loyal, cautious
[casual, introducing, rambling] I like scrolls that weren't written by my mother. I've read way too many of those. I'm Turtle, by the way.
[half joking, reminding, exaggerated] You're a mind reader. All you have to do is walk around until you hear someone's brain going, 'well done me. Tiptop explosion I caused today! Aren't I a clever arsonist?
[rambling, reluctant, scared] It's different, swimming is not the same as trying to fly while getting blown about and whacked with little balls of water and also the lightning — have we talked about the lightning?
DARKSTALKER

[slightly hurt, assuring] I’m not actually a monster, no matter what the scrolls and ghost stories say. Can’t you tell?
[protective, caring, worried] Moon! Moon! Close your eyes. I can take your mind to a safe place where you won’t see any of this.
[cold, intense, rigid] If you could give up this gift so easily, then you shouldn’t be allowed to have it.

Traits: Outgoing, bubbly, talkative, friendly, optimistic, hardworking, curious, clever, extraverted
[bubbly, fast-paced, excited] Ooooo. How does it feel to be related to someone famous? Probably a bit like being best friends with a queen. Which I am, just incidentally, so, I mean, I totally get it!
[hurt, upset, fast-paced] Well, it should be! If you’re going to be in our heads hearing everything, then you should at least warn your friends. And if you’re seeing the future, and it’s bad, then you really have to tell someone. I don’t understand you!
[excited, confused, fast-paced] You're totally heroes, saving us all from bad guys! Although, I'm kind of confused about who's that bad guy and who I should be mad at, because SORA WHAT but also Icicle was totally scary but then SAVING HER BROTHER ACK so I get it but still, attacking my winglet! My best friend! Not OK!

[Joking, excited, peppy] Let me guess- you’re Moonwatcher, aren’t you? I’m tremendously good at guessing. In fact, one might even say I’m mysteriously good at it. Almost as though I’m… reading your mind, eh?
