Paid Wildfire Music Festival Case Study Voice Over

Paid Wildfire Music Festival Case Study Voice Over

Project Overview

I created Wildfire Music Festival as an event graphics project for Kutztown University. Wildfire is a 3-day alternative music festival featuring bands like Panic! At The Disco, Twenty One Pilots, Florence & The Machine, and many more. People can camp out at the event over the three days and they can participate in beach games like volleyball throughout the day when they're not listening to their favorite bands. It's a very laid back festival that is for people really passionate about music. I'm putting together a case study to prove that there is a need for this music festival and to describe it well to potential 'festers. The voice over needed is going to be played during an animation that I put together. I included the storyboard of the animation to help with timing and so you can understand what it is a little better. It is strictly for educational purposes. Thank you for helping out! The audition that works out the best for the role will get paid for your time and help!

The voice should be fun and informative. I want it to be like a friend is describing the music festival to another friend. The music festival is laid back so the tone of the voice should be laid back as well. Even though it is laid back everything should be easy to understand and well enunciated.

  • Throughout the past few years it seems as if every music festival has become overrun with mainstream music, overcrowding, and risky behavior involving drugs and alcohol. We wanted to flip the script on the concert scene and create an environment where well-respected artists and people with an intense passion for music can unite and build a community revolving around their common interests.

    So...where do we start?

The first step was to consider the target audience. 32 million people go to at least one music festival per year. Out of those, 14.7 million are millenials. So 18-34 year olds who are seeking a respectable concert experience full of their favorite alternative bands seemed appropriate. The target location is a place that is refreshing, relaxing, and unexpected. Fire Island, NY is the perfect setting for this music festival. It’s welcoming, spacious, breathtaking on the shoreline, and in a large metropolitan area. And what’s better than a concert on the beach?

Once we did the research, it was time to unveil the festival.

Introducing Wildfire: a 3-day gathering featuring 35 alternative bands, events and competitions, and nightly bonfires. Wildfire Music Festival was made for those with a wild passion for music and a love for shared experiences with friends - both old and new. It’s about bonding with other ‘festers and creating memories that will truly last a lifetime.

The name Wildfire symbolizes how quickly the feel-good energy catches on. The flame icon also refers to the bonfires that are held every night where family and friends can gather. The events, such as artists performing on four different stages, musician workshops, beach games, and nightly bonfires, form a community of like-minded people that share these experiences and come together over their passions.

To promote Wildfire, we needed to create elements that engage the audience and further immerse them into the Wildfire experience. The most essential part of the marketing was the tour poster. Listing all 35 bands, including our logo and flame icon, and having our signature hand-crafted style perfectly summarizes the experience at Wildfire. The other elements created for Wildfire include a tour shirt, buttons, canvas bags, and a sampler CD featuring songs from all 35 bands. All of these elements come together to reinforce the brand and give ‘festers keepsakes that will increase their engagement with Wildfire and create word-of-mouth advertising. Our website and mobile app make all of the information easily accessible and feature MyWildfire, a feature where users can select the bands they want to see and have a custom schedule created for them showing them when and where their favorite artists are performing.

Wildfire Music Festival was made for the impassioned and hopes to create a captivating environment that is exciting and refreshing. So join us on July 16th to the 18th if alternative music lights your fire.
