Project Overview
Welcome to Blithe Street is a webseries on youtube and newgrounds that serves as a love letter to old early 2000s internet animations, and cartoons I would catch on tv. In this series, we follow Beas, Maymi, Jordan and Kevin, as well as the rest of the residents in town, as they try to survive in a corrupt society, where danger is prevalent and adventure is inevitable. This is mainly a slice of life "comedy", but in name only, as any attempt to do something normal usually results in disaster. The main goal of wtbs is to just serve as a fun passion project for me and my friends, nothin serious. We hope to make people laugh and smile!

Were looking for actors around 17 or 18 (around our age range)
This audition is for Maymi, a short tempered high energy young girl trying to find her place among her community. While she is mostly level headed and suave, she can quickly turn to hot headed and aggressive when she, or her friends, feel threatened. She enjoys all things cute and sparkly, giving her a sort of child like whimsy personality, though she tries her best to be portrayed as more mature by those around her, failing to do so makes her very insecure. Her voice is somewhat squeaky, but relaxed. Maymi isn't usually the type of person to show off, unless she's in pursuit of her childhood TWINK ASS friend Beas, who she will try (and fail) to make advances on, leaving her flustered around him. Maymi is an incredibly loving and affectionate friend with a ton of spunk, but she'd also never turn down a fight, putting her strength and combat finesse on display to keep her and her loved ones safe.
