Hey everyone, my name is Tanner, I’m the head Voice Actor for the My Hero Academia Abridged project currently being developed by The YouTube group We The Celestials.
Yes, as the title states, this opening is for an ongoing abridged series developed by a talented team of writers, editors, and voice actors.

The reasoning for this post is because our previous Izuku Midoriya VA had to leave the project due to IRL issues and because of this, were making a new posting to find a new VA to voice Midoriya in our abridged series. For the time being, Izuku is the only character were looking for with this project. but if more spots become open in the future, we'll post them here.
If you're down to work with a YouTube group that has 65,000+ subscribers and work with a talented team on putting together an abridged anime series, we welcome all voiceover artists to audition for this project. Please read the following below before you begin auditioning.

Before Yu Takeyama became the famous “hero” you all know her as, she was an adult film actress for the sole purpose of making LOTS of money and became a fast rising star in the industry within just a months time. So much so that she ended up getting recognized by the public almost every time she left her house. Eventually the kind of attention she was getting became too much for her mental health and decided to ditch the industry after a couple months.
Despite her retirement, she still gets noticed and harassed by the residents for her pornographic past. Eventually, she thought about how to get people to stop ogling her and decided that the best idea was to develop a cliché superhero persona that would give herself a new identity. (This works about as well for her as you think.) And thus, Mt. Lady was born. She is treated as a pro-hero in the story despite not having an official heroine license. Everyone just doesn’t question her legitimacy as a superhero.
For Mount Ladys voice, were not looking for anything to exact. We’re looking for a American young adult voice with hints of vanity in it. A good example of the kind of voice were looking for is the side character Tricia Lange from Rick & Morty.

(Calms herself down for the crowd, speaks to Kamui Woods) "*AHEM* Sorry to steal your thunder there Morning Wood or...whatever your name is, but I had a bit of beef with this creep-o here, I don't let just anyone touch this bum anymore.”
(THIS SCENE IS FROM MINETAS HERO INTERNSHIP WITH MOUNT LADY WHERE HES VACUUMING HER APARTMENT WHILES SHE LAYING ON THE COUCH EATING CHIPS.)
(Calm, laid-back) “For the record, I know you chose to do an internship with me just so you try to feel my ass or fuck me or whatever. Well just so you know, If you even try to touch me or attempt to find my underwear drawer, I will literally punt you out the window like a football….you missed a spot by the bookcase by the way.”
(THIS LINE TAKES PLACE DURING THE TV INTERVIEW WITH MT. LADY & MIDNIGHT. DURING THE INTERVIEW, A PUBLIC POLL GETS DISPLAYED DURING THE INTERVIEW ON WHO THE HOTTEST FEMALE HERO IS, AND MIDNIGHT'S SALTY THAT MT. LADY GOT WAY MORE VOTES THAN HER. THIS LINE PLAYS AFTER MIDNIGHT GETS TICKED OFF BY A COMMENT MT. LADY MAKES ABOUT HOW MUCH SHE BEAT HER.)
(Consoling midnight) “Woah, hey! Hey! calm down girl. Its ok that you didn’t get higher in the hotness poll than me. I mean you beat Mirko. That’s something right? I mean I know I totally stomped you, but we can’t win um all you know? Especially for someone of your age.”
Amajiki in the abridged is sort of similar to his normal self however hes acts more sullen, moody, and socially awkward, than he is in the series.
He’s also incredibly jealous and envious towards Mirio, mainly because he gets all the attention and praise, and everything in his life goes his way. He’s basically like a whiny socialy inept downer that’s incredibly envious of most of the other students as they get more praise for their actions than he does.
For the voice, we want someone who can sound like Tamajiki’s Funimation voice, however we are open to hearing other different voices that would fit the kind of character he is.

(THIS LINE IS FROM AMAJIKI’S INTERNSHIP WITH FATGUM & KIRISHIMA. KIRISHIMA JUST STOPPED A VILLAIN FROM HARMING A COUPLE AND IS GETTING ALL THE PRAISE DESPITE AMAJIKI LENDING A HAND TO STOP THE GUY.)
(SARCASTIC, MOODY TONE)“Oh sure, let the first year kid get all the glory. I'm only a third year at UA high and did most of the work to stop the villain, but sure let the kid with the hardening quirk get all the glory… why the hell did I come out here?”
(THIS LINE IS FROM THE SCENE WHERE MIRIO, NEJIRE & AMAJIKI ARE INTRODUCING THEMSELVES TO CLASS A FOR THE FIRST TIME. AMAJIKI IS ABOUT TO SAY SOMETHING TO THE CLASS BUT HIS TOO AWKWARD AND FROZEN FROM STAGE-FRIGHT TO SAY A WORD.)
(TALKING TO HIMSELF, ANXIOUS AWKWARD TONE) “Oh man, everyone’s looking at me. Even all the girls are looking at me. Oh man...Wait. What's that thing Nejire told me to do when I get nervous in front of a crowd? Uh…oh yeah, I remember. Imagine everyone in their underwear. Ok, shouldn’t be too hard, I just gotta imagine everyone here in their underwear shouldn’t be to…Oh GOD I FEEL EVEN WORSE NOW! Oh god, why can’t I just go home already?”
Himiko’s character in the abridged is that shes a major creepypasta fangirl. She’s the kind of girl that’s into Slenderman, Jeff the killer, Sonic.EXE, and other disturbing nightmare fuel that would mentally scar a pure hearted person and keep them up at night. She can be very chatty, & giddy with others, especially when the topic of conversation is Creepypastas or her numerous online fanfics. She also fangirls over Stain because of how she sees her as a real-life Jeff the Killer.
For her voice, we want someone that can sound like Togas FUNimation voice. Link below for reference.
(This scene takes place inside the League of Villians hideout. She's impatiently waiting for shigiraki to send her out on a mission or to do something other than sit around the hideout with nothing to do.)

(esstatic, speaking to Mustard.) “OH-EM-GEE! You know what this reminds me of? This is just like that Slenderman game I used to play!! EEEEE!!! You think those kids down there are walking around the forest looking for papers?”
(THIS LINE IS A TWO PARTER THAT TAKES PLACE DURING THE VILLAIN ATTACK ON THE FOREST TRAINING CAMP WHERE SHE MEETS TWICE & DABI AT THE RENDEZVOUS POINT. SHES DISAPPOINTED SHE COULDN'T GET AS MUCH BLOOD AS SHE PLANNED TO GET BUT BRUSHES IT OFF AS SHE THINKS ABOUT MIDORIYA.)
(Slight disappointment in her voice) “Sorry guys, I was going to kill these two girls and take their blood, but this big guy with hentai tentacles for arms or whatever was gonna get me, so I had to back off. It wasn’t all bad."
(Dreamy, wistful, crushing over Midoriya) “I DID see this super cute boy with blood all over him. He was such a cutie. *GASP* I wonder if he’s into fanfics & horror movies. Ooh! Ooh! or Jeff the Killer!”
Tsuyu Asui is an interesting one. When shes first introduced in the abridged, she will only speak in frog croak sounds. But when early season two comes around, she will eventually develop the ability to properly talk and communicate with the others in the series. But when she does, she has a major attitude problem and is incredibly vulgar to almost everyone around her. In a way, she's had to put up with almost everyone in her life treating her like a weird frog person, but now that she can properly speak with people, she just wants to let everyone around her feel her vulgar wrath. In a way, she’ll acts a lot like bakugo does in the series but without the superiority complex.

“Its alright Midoriya, Its not your fault Bakugo's always angry and yells all the time. Everyone knows its because he’s got a tiny pencil dick. I bet he couldn’t even pleasure a Barbie doll with what he’s got down there.”
(THIS LINE TAKES PLACE DURING ASUI'S INTERNSHIP WITH SELKIE. SHES SWAPPING THE DESK AS SHES APPROACHED BY SIRIUS. SHE ASKS TSU HOW SHES ENJOYING HER WORK SO FAR. HER LINE BELOW IS HER RESPONSE.)
“What kind of a fucking internship is this? I didn't sign up for unpaid bitch work. When are we gonna fuck up some drug smugglers or something? I signed up to be a famous pro, not to be your fucking slave.”
Mineta in the abridged is the same Horny pervert you all know him as, however we added a bit of A twist with him.
Instead of him being a teenage boy wanting to become a hero just to impress the ladies to the point of letting him touch their boobies (His words not mine) For the abridged, Mineta is actually a 45-year-old sexual predator with Dwarfism who snuck into UA and assumed the identity of a teenager wanting to be a pro hero, when in actuality he's just a creepy middle-aged man that cares more about panty raids and trying & failing to get into Midnight's pants than become a pro hero.
For Mineta’s voice, we're looking for A heavy southern gruff voice that a creepy middle-aged trucker would have. Something gruff like Arthur Morgans voice from the Red Dead Redemption series, or bugs Bunny from THAT Meatcanyon video he made but with a southern accent thrown in there. Kirishima in the abridged is the Kind-hearted dude-bro of class 1A. He acts like a fun-loving, confident, college frat boy but with his wholesome side from the anime thrown in there.
For the voice, were looking for someone that can sound like the FUNimation voice of either Tetsutetsu or Kirishima. Either one is fine. I’ve included links to both their voices below along with a YouTube comedy sketch about “Bros” so you know the kind of character Kirishima will be in this series.
You've also likely noticed that this audition also includes the character Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu. This is because whoever get this role will also get his part in the abridged. Tetsutetsu’s schtick is that he’s an exact carbon copy of Kirishima. From his voice, to his personality, to how he goes about his daily life. Basically, He’s a clone of Kirishima. This is a very rare casting call role where you will get to be two characters for the price of one.

(THIS LINE IS DURING THE SPORTS FESTIVAL OBSTACLE COURSE WHEN KIRISHIMA BREAKS FREE FROM THE ZERO POINTER TODOROKI KNOCKS OVER. HE’S TICKED OFF ABOUT SHOTO DOING SOMETHING SO RECKLESS THAT COULD KILL SOMEONE AND YELLS OUT HIS DICONTENT TO HIM, WHOSE RUNNING OFF.)
(Ticked off, yelling out to Todoroki) “YO! Todoroki! What the heck's your problem brah!? First you declare war on everyone in our class, now this!? You could of killed someone man!”

Uraraka in the abridged is very different from how she portrayed in the series. Occhako in the abridged is a laid back, Passive aggressive bitch who teases & belittles people and isn't afraid to throw shade at others and mock them, preferably with Midoriya. She has her moments where she can be somewhat kind & behave, but most of her screentime will have her be one of the more ill-mannered characters in the abridged
The best character I can compare her to is the character Hayase Nagatoro from the Manga/Anime series "Please Don't Bully me Miss Nagatoro" only difference is she legitimately doesn't like the guy shes paired with for most of her screen-time and is less assertive and A tad more mean-spirited with her comments & teasing.

(Internal, narration, very deep guy voice) - "...Fuck."
(THESE TWO LINES ARE FROM THE HERO COMBAT TRAINING EPISODE WHERE MIDORIYA & URARAKA ARE GOING OVER A PLAN TO DEFEAT THE TEAM OF BAKUGO & IIDA. URARAKA IS LOOKING AT THE BUILDING SCHEMATICS AND BEGINS TO ASK MIDORIYA IF HES READY FOR THIS.)
(demeaning, passive aggressive) - "So you can actually do this, right? You aren’t going to break yourself again are you?"
(same tone as before, if only a little shocked) - "Oh! I guess not, huh? Someone looks a little scared."
Izuku Midoriya's personality & character in this abridged series is a bit different from how hes portrayed in the series. Midoriya in the abridged is the typical scrawny kid you see in those 80's-90's high school/college movies who gets picked on and made fun of by the others in school. Because of this, hes got a bit of pent up rage and a foul mouth to go with it. He decides to finally stand up for himself and to stop being a whiny little push-over and thinks the best way to go about this is to find All-Might and convince him to give him his quirk so that he can "Become A God."
For this role, were not going to look for anything too crazy. We just want an American teenager sounding voice that's a bit whiny/dorky. We want to hear as many different takes and styles as possible for Izuku's voice. So do whichever voice you think would fit this description.
If you can sound like a Jaded Morty from Rick & Morty without the stutters or like Izuku Midoriya's Funimation Voice, its a plus, but not completely necessary.
Also big heads up for those who don't know, This role is for the major lead character in the abridged series. So if you get picked for this role, Be ready to work in every episode of the abridged AND work closely with the team and the project.
(THIS LINE IS DURING SCHOOL WHERE BAKUGO IS BULLYING MIDORIYA AND THE CAMERA STOPS TO FOCUS ON BAKUGO'S FACE AS IZUKU'S NARRATION PLAYS. DO A NARRATION THAT YOU WOULD HEAR FROM A 90'S HIGH SCHOOL MOVIE WHERE THE BULLY PICKS ON THE MAIN CHARACTER.)
(Narration) - "Yep. That’s Katsuki Bakugo. The living embodiment of an 80's movie bully. It’s actually kind of depressing. Maybe he has a second quirk that makes him a total prick."
(THIS LINE IS FROM THE ENTRANCE EXAMS WHERE MIDORIYA ONE SHOTS THE ZERO POINTER ROBOT AND SAVES URARAKA. AFTER HE PUNCHES THE ROBOT HE REALIZES HE CAN'T FLY AND IS FALLING TO THE GROUND.)
(Shocked) - "Holy Crap! Did I just turn that zero pointer int- Wait. oh fuck! I’m falling! Oh God! Alright, maybe All Might can fly. Maybe with this power i got, I’ll just start flying. If not, at least I have my super limbs to break my..."
*Realizes his limbs are broken & useless*
(*Add a bit of resentment in this line, like you just found out All-Might screwed you over.*)
"...fall. Oh you CAN'T BE SERIOUS! Why didn’t that asshole warn me about this?! He wanted me to die like this, Like a bitch! He’s a goddamn super villain!
(THIS LINE IS DURING THE HERO TEAM / VILLAIN TEAM FIGHT TRAINING WITH BAKUGO & IIDA VS MIDORIYA & URARAKA. IZUKU IS FIGHTING BAKUGO AS URARAKA RUNS OFF.)
(Winded, a bit shell-shocked) - "Did she seriously just run off to leave me to fight Hiroshima-reincarnated by myself?! JEEZ Not only am I fighting the man behind nine-eleven, but my partner’s a spineless—hot —but still spineless bitch. Looks like I'll have to do the strategizing from here."
We are looking for an audio editor to work for the abridged series. Your duties will be too clean up & edit the audio that comes from our voice actors & actresses so that it can be sent to our video editors to be put in the episode.
