I'm a new writer and voice actor looking to start my journey into making audio stories for Youtube! I'm looking for other new voice actors who would like to work alongside me to bring my first ever story to life. I'd love it if it I could help out on your projects too!
The story is set in Wickenworl, an independent city in the continent of Wistervander. Magick exists in all beings in this world but it exists in two distinct ways. The terms Fae and Witch refers to these ways not to species mind you. One born with an excess of original magick would be a Fae. These beings can use all sorts of magick. Witches on the other hand are beings born with very little original magick of their own. They are usually gifted their magicks by the gods that dwell all around us. They are bound to these gods and are mostly limited to casting the magick gifted to them.
The story will follow the Listener (nicknamed 'Lucky') and Felix- a witch with a past! Felix finds the listener bloodied and beaten with no memory of who they are or where they have come from and vows to assist them in their investigation! I'm attempting to play the role of Felix for this particular plot line and I would like others to play my other characters so I can write them with more lines and let them shine more!
As the projects name suggests, The two will wander Wistervander searching for clues, but if you have ideas for your own plot line/ series of audio stories (with a listener character) set in Wistervander then let me know!
I'm not looking for perfection but a decent mic is needed. Since I'll be editing (with very basic beginner knowledge), it would help if there was as little background noise as possible. There may also be shouting/ chanting magick etc involved as well.
I'll be making and using SFX and music from Youtubes audio library and Pixabay. I have no plans to monetise this particular series but it will be released on Youtube and Patreon (it will remain free on Patreon). I'll be making the art for thumbnails and videos etc. I'm not the best but if you would like art/ voice acting for any of your projects I am more than happy to help where I can! Part of the point I guess is to help each other grow as small creators! You will be credited in the description of the video and at the end of the video.
I haven't formatted a script before so bare with me! I will most likely send you the script with your parts highlighted in some way so that you have context.
I have currently recorded two parts of the series but I want to re-upload them with lines from other characters (see the roles for more info). The videos might be useful to give you an idea of the plot but they aren't required viewing haha.
In terms of communication, I would appreciate discord if possible. I will make a server for us all when I have an idea of interest. This will have info on lore etc.
In terms of deadlines etc. Please just be honest with time frames or if you're going to struggle. Timings are looser because its a passion project and I also have a busy job myself.
If I don't think you're a fit for the current characters I have but I like your voice in general- there may be other roles in the future that I'll keep you in mind for!
Have fun with it! Wistervander is a melting pot of magickal beings and creatures with odd backgrounds and even odder personalities, so please feel free to have fun with it! I'm a beginner too and I really just want to enjoy making something with others!

Hello! The script for part one has been fully edited and parts re-written! It's now formatted in a way that people can read it! I wrote in extra lines for Meat, Asher and Quincy. I'm really excited to re-do part one with the vocal talents of you guys! Working on editing and re-writing parts of part two to include more voice lines. I should then be ready to start selecting people for the different characters! :D

Voice Actor
Side character. They are one of Felixs' first ever customers and now runs their favourite cafe. She and Felix met when her ex-husband refused to leave her alone. Felix... sorted it. Karin however is no pushover, she is a fae and skilled in magicks that enhance her strength in combat... which is precisely why she had Felix deal with her ex-husband.
She runs a cafe called 'Cafe Karin'. Her goal is to make this a safe space for all. She doesn't stand for injustice of any kind.
Karin has a huge soft spot for Felix and just wants to see them happy, this does mean she has a bad habit of sticking her nose into their business however!
Currently Karin only has a few lines but she will become a frequent supporting character. Particularly in part three which I haven't recorded yet. For an idea on the plot so far, please see my videos on Youtube.

Voice Actor
A god awful creature of a woman. She owns a store in the Beasts Brew that sells the best potion ingredients. She also acts as an informant for Felix from time to time. She is sneaky and conniving however, and isn't to be trusted.
She claims she saw how the Listeners character- Lucky- ended up in the alley beaten and broken.
Her weakness is her daughter. Felix has helped sooth their rocky relationship with their magicks and uses this to keep Lucinda in check if she decides to be unpleasant... which is always.
She may or may not be a returning role, it depends on how the story progresses so I am looking for someone who is open to that.

Leader of the tiny fair folk that have taken up residence in Felix’s home and shop. Gave themself the nickname ‘Meat’ because meat is simply the best! Meat is a witch that has been looked upon by the god Avaritia- goddess of greed. He is a tiny smug little creature with wings like a humming bird. He outwardly shows disdain for Felix but in reality, the little creature is thankful to have a warm place to call home. He and his little gang of fair folk ensure the home and shop are kept warm and clean… for the most part!
Currently, Meat doesn't have any recorded lines. I would like for him to appear in episode one and then become a recurring character throughout. Potentially even becoming the little side-kick to the listeners character- 'Lucky'.
For his voice, I'd like something smug and a bit cheeky sounding. He is tiny so the lines may eventually be edited slightly to increase the pitch. For an idea on what the story is like so far, please see the below link:

The main antagonist (currently). They are the listeners 'brother'. He is the leader of a brutal gang of witches and fae folk. The gang initially came about because he wanted to create a home that was safe for all the 'unfortunates' that get abandoned by society. As time has gone on however, he has become cruel and unfeeling. He has even gone as far as to having his sibling, the listener (nickname Lucky) beaten and left for dead after they tried to leave. Asher has now lost track of his sibling and is commanding the other gang members to hunt Lucky down.

A gruff member of Ashers gang. He grew up with Asher and Lucky (listener) in the House of Unfortunates Orphanage in the UnderBrim. He has a soft spot for Lucky, but he would never disobey an order directly from Asher.
Stritch is a witch looked upon by the God Suo- The god of weaving, as such his magicks are capable of stitching a vast array of things together.
He has been given the task of hunting down the listeners character.

Felix’s younger sister. She died under mysterious circumstances. It was when she died that the god Maeve looked upon Felix. Felix is still haunted by this moment and seemingly, by her.

Quincy's lines are all at the end of both videos. Quincy will also appear in part three as a memory- the memory will be of a conversation between her and Felix when they were children. If you can perform lines as both adult and child Quincy, that would be amazing but not necessary (I can cast another person).
Young Quincy was a sweet child with a curious mind. Adult Quincy is jaded with a sultry well spoken British voice.
