Video Editor + Script writer needed - The Archive YT Channel!
Project Overview
Hello! My name is Skrunk (Riley) and I am looking for a Team to help get my dream YouTube channel started!
What is The Archive?
I have a habit of becoming completely obsessed with random topics.
Whether it's a manga that consumed my entire week, a book I couldn't stop thinking about, a video game with fascinating lore, or some completely random topic my brain decided to hyper fixate on at 2 AM, you'll find it here.
I research, recap, summarize, and enthusiastically yap about whatever has captured my attention
TLDR:
I love hyper fixating on random information on random pieces of media.. So, I want to make a Youtube channel that does video essays on those topics! Basically yapping ab nerd shi.
I want to gather a team of peeps who are as equally interested in these things to help get things moving faster! And to create a community!
Payment:
Unfortunately, Payment would only be given IF/WHEN the channel gets monetized and starts earning money.
I would love to compensate you for your hard work up front but I cannot provide that at the moment. I really hope you still audition!

At the moment, I am the scriptwriter AND video editor.. I have slowly come to realize that I am not a good video editor so I am reaching out to you guys for help!
Main Expectations:
- You will be given a script and VA mp3 of said script + A thumbnail made by one of our artists!
- You have 100% creative freedom!
- Literally just mash it up to be engaging and fun in a way that fits our brand! (Libraries, archives, cases, investigations, record keeping, etc!)
- You will also be in charge of finding clips, screenshots, etc. SOMETIMES THESE WILL BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE SCRIPT!
How to audtion:
- Send a portfolio of video's you have edited or contributed too.. OR Make a 30 second little vid based on what is provided below

Alongside myself, I am looking for a team of 1-2 scriptwriters to help write scripts and research topics!
The channel's scripts are all about recapping, summarizing, or deep diving into random genres like Video games, Manga, Books, Movies, etc! This is done is a storytelling tone that engages the viewer!

Each video would usually hit around 10-30mins to an hour which roughly translates to 800- 2,400 - 4,800 words per script!
You will also be in charge of helping me research these topics and find clips or screenshots to use alongside what is written in the script!
How to audition:
- Send over a few writing samples, portfolio, or short work that loosely matches the general vibe of the scripts provided! This can be on a random topic, a story you have written, etc! I just want to see your research and storytelling skills!
