Venus Valkyrie: Love Live Japanese Cover Group

Venus Valkyrie: Love Live Japanese Cover Group

Project Overview

Eight singers are needed. Each person will have one μ's girl and one Aqours girl to sing as. The two girls I'll be taking are Dia and Nozomi. I will also serve as the group's mixer (timing/mastering) and back-up video editor. I'm planning to make this group very high quality so if you share the same wishes and want to form a strong and inspiring group with me, please audition!

[☆☆☆EXTENDED DEADLINE: 15 JULY 2017☆☆☆]

Singer requirements:

- Good microphone. This means no static or background noises. You don't have to have a professional, expensive mic, but you should aim for clear, decent quality recordings.

- Pronunciation. Make sure you're familiar with each song as you sing it. Time yourself with the original and keep comparing the two. No mumbling, please!

- You DON'T have to sound like your character, but it's nice if you do. As long as you're a decent, energetic singer, you're guaranteed a spot in the group.

- Be active and record your parts on time. You don't have to engage with the group in the chat, but make sure you're aware of what's happening in the group. If you need questions or feel out of the loop, feel free to ask me about anything.

(Optional) We need at least one person in the group to be comfortable with picking out/singing harmonies. Knowing how to properly harmonize will pretty much guarantee you a spot in the group, so be sure to include YOUR harmonies in the sample.

If you meet the above: Audition with a sample of you singing any song in Japanese. It can be acapella or with a backing track. With your sample, include i the comments the names of μ's and Aqours girls you'd be happy to sing as.

***

Tuner requirements:

- Adept knowledge in using Melodyne or other advanced tuning programs.

- Ability to stay organized and give feedback to the singers. This includes being able to give constructive criticism to utilise our singers the best we can.

- Stick to deadlines.

If you meet the above: Audition with a sample of your tuning work. Mastering and compression will not be judged in your sample, because these are not required of you to do.

***

Video maker requirements:

- Advanced knowledge of Sony Vegas, Camtasia, After Effects or other visual editing programs.

- Be creative. Think about what kind of video would go with our songs. Experiment!

- Stick to deadlines.

If you meet the above: Message me with 2 examples of your video editing. Length doesn't matter.

Latest Updates

  • Delay with the results video

Once again apologies guys. I had a death in the family and on top of that my internet is dodgy and by trying to fix it I had someone do a complete formatting of my laptop and I lost all of my editing programs. I was fed up with the whole situation and just took a few days out to calm my nerves. I'm slowly re-downloading everything but the results video which was nearly done, got deleted too. I need to redo everything and get up to speed. I'm hoping to have the results video out by the 20th. I am aware that the delay isn't ideal and you might be hesitant about this group now, but I believe that the rough start is just an obstacle, and that the group will pull through and shine!
  • Done

Cast has been chosen and will be contacted shortly.
  • Update

The cast has been picked. Unfortunately, either the audition is missing, was taken down or I misplaced it but the person picked to sing as Umi/Mari who is simply listed as "Story" in my notepad is gone. I can't recall their audition or whether it was posted on Amino or CCC. I recall you having a longish username, Story, I just shortened it. If you're reading this, let me know what's up and if you're still up for the group. I apologize for the confusion.
  • Cast update

7/9 spots are now filled. Leader's characters were changed to Nozomi and Dia in order to facilitate other group members. The only available characters are: Kanan+Ruby and Hanayo+Kotori
