Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello! This is a casting call for Season 1 of "Unearthed"(originally named “Life As A Villain”); which is an original Action Fantasy Series. It is going to be created via Gacha Life 2, in a stop motion inspired style. I am looking for co writers or writers in general, background artists, and voice actors.
I have been working on just writing this series alone for about 10 months to roughly a year, but with little progress so far, due to lack of motivation and such. But, I feel motivated now, and I want to start to really commit to the creation of this series! Therefore, I hope with this CCC project, I can find some extra assistance into making this series a reality!
Here’s a content warning for this series, it will most likely contain the following sensitive subjects:
Humanoid Experimentation
Violence
Cussing
Blood, minor and/or major injuries (drawn, unrealistic)
discrimination against fictional marginalized groups, attempt of genocide against said groups
and a couple more
SYNOPSIS
Unearthed is set in a custom world known as Meraki, which is an Urban Fantasy styled world. In this world, Dragons and Gods used to roam the world in the Early Ages(first era). Hybrids(humans with animal traits) and Elves also exist in this world, though Humans and Elves are the most common intelligent species.
Nowadays, although in Meraki there is magic, society views real world science as a superior form of knowledge and practice.
The Hybrids and those who are able to wield magic(Sorcerers/Mages) have been prosecuted for centuries upon centuries. 20-30ish years ago, a Hybrid known as Iris Visage finally acted. To finally make things fair, and safe for Hybrids and Magic Users to exist.. or as some people call them, the “Cursed”.
However, the fight isn’t over yet. Around 15 years after her unexpected death, the “Cursed” are at risk of being wiped out entirely. Only one person has the power to do something about it, and that is Iris Visage’s own daughter; Nina Visage.
Nina will do anything in order to save her kind, even if it means the risk of losing everything she’s ever had… but will she succeed? Or will she fail?
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
I’m not going to have a strict deadline as of now, because I’m not too sure how long it’ll take to get auditions and such. But, the current deadline will be Friday, February 23rd, 2024.
When auditioning, these are the general requirements:
You must be AT LEAST 13 years of age to audition for this project.
I am most likely going to use Discord for communication and planning with the cast and team, so unless you are unable to get a discord account(which is fine and understandable!), please get a discord account or share that with me, so I can put you in the Discord Server if you are casted.
For a voice acting role, please have little to no background noise.
For the co-writer and background artist auditions, please audition with recent works.
You can audition for up to 3 roles.
In your audition, please state your age(if not comfortable, you can say your age range: so like.. 14-16, 18-20, 18+, etc etc.), and your discord, instagram, or another way to otherwise contact you.
Be a respectful human being. I will not tolerate harassment, disrespect, and discrimination against people for their race, age, religion, gender identity, sexuality, etc.;and if you’ll act like that, you will either be kicked out of the project or not casted into the project at all. This is a safe place for everyone.
THINGS TO EXPECT
So, I am currently in high school, and that affects my schedule and free time to work on Unearthed quite a bit. But once the team and the voice actors have been cast, I want to work with you all to make this story happen.
It’s definitely going to be difficult, because of conflicting time zones and a couple other factors(i.e all people have lives and jobs & such), but that’s not what I want to focus on right now; we’ll discuss that once the cast and team has been finalized.
This series and the production/development of it is a long term project. Please be aware that this will take time to create, and I would really appreciate anyone whose going to audition, to be able to be dedicated and committed to this project.
…but it’s not all negative and complicated! I hope that this will be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone! I want to make sure everyone who will be involved with this project knows that while I do want you to be somewhat committed, there is no big rush or huge amounts of pressure! It won’t all just be focused on the project, as I hope to get along with all of you and have fun in general!
We’ll take it one step at a time, and in between ALL of that, ultimately, have a (hopefully) fun time!!!

The role of Co-Writer entails a couple things in regards to this project:
- help with some small world building parts, such as holidays, traditions
- working on the scripts for the episodes
- expanding/making changes to character development, overall character growth, plot points, symbolism, world building, etc.
- brainstorming ideas for the above topics, for the aspects of them that have not had as much progress.

I am looking for 1-2 background artists to create backgrounds for the series. The style I’m looking for is mostly simplistic, and a good example of a what I’d like it to look somewhat similar to is the art style of The Dragon Prince or Nimona, possibly. (or also similar to what most gacha club/life/gl2 backgrounds look like)
In terms of what to expect, the setting is rather modern, with a little magical/fantasy twist. So like.. steampunk? Or just what Nimona was sort of like, but without the flying cars and such lol. There will be a couple other things such as mountains, forests, god domains(possibly), etc.
Please make sure that you provide examples of some past art pieces, though I would prefer those said examples to be rather recent.
