Transformers More Than Meets The Eye IDW (Tailgate Recast)
Project Overview
Hello! I'm currently holding auditions for a particular character from the More Than Meets The Eye (MTMTE) audio drama/adaptation. For those who don't know what MTMTE is, it's an ongoing comic book series written by James Roberts and published by IDW. It follows Rodimus, the captain of the starship the Lost Light, who is joined by the likes of Ultra Magnus, Drift, Ratchet, Swerve, Chromedome, Rewind, and many more as they travel the fastness of the universe in search of the legendary Knights of Cybertron, who hold the key to restoring Cybertron to its glory days. Along the way they meet new allies, enemies, and face many challenges and dangers that put their skills to the test.
In order to make this project the best I can make it, I need a new voice for Tailgate. This project will be a long-term one so if you don't think you will be able to commit to such a project, then please don't audition. Before auditioning, here are a few requirements:
-No filters/robotic effects in your recordings, I want to hear what YOU sound like.
-Have a good quality recording.
-No impressions of past actors, feel free to do your own take and have fun with it.
-Be reliable and available.

A young bot who went offline for six million years and missed the war, now he's just trying to find his place in life. He's the youngest crewmember on the Lost Light. He can be a bit naive at times, but is very friendly. Tailgate isn't much of a fighter and would prefer to spend time with the crew and have movie nights at Swerve's instead of fighting Decepticons. One of the main characters.

The Decepticon thing—I was badly advised. I’m an Autobot at heart. Look at me. Look at my face. It’s an Autobot face. A big, friendly Autobot face. This is obviously meant to be.
I dunno, I probably thought it would make people respect me. We can’t all be codebreakers or marksmen or escapologists.
(Nervous, panicked) Don’t worry. Panic keeps me focused. The day I snuggle up to a bomb and don’t fear for my life is the day I get sloppy.
