To Touch the Sky: Final Animation Film
Project Overview
This is my Animation class final- i will be animating it and just require two people to voice the lines of the characters present.
To Touch the Sky is a passion project starring my original characters whom i have had for nearly five years- this is the first in a line of projects i would like to complete with the culminating project being a finalized online webcomic starring Shingle, Ray, and the various other characters who exist in their world.
In this animation, Shingle confronts Ray, her ex lover, as Ray is about to take a drastic step for what she believes is the good of her entire planet. Shingle has reached her just as she is completing the final steps of her program, and attempts to talk her out of committing to her project which will have unknown consequences for their life as they know it. But just as it seems Shingle has managed to convince her to stop, Ray betrays her, activating her invention to save a dying world, and dooming them all.
Notes: They are both dragon-adjacent aliens. not sure if that persuades or dissuades some of you but i just thought yall should know as it is in fact integral to their story lol.

looking for a young adult female voice. Ray is determined, angry, and unconsolable. She should sound frustrated with the world, and intensely cynical about anyone else’s ideas. She has a soft spot for Shingle, who at one point was her romantic partner, which should be conveyed in quieter parts of her monologues, but her determination to fix what she sees as her problems end up winning and outweighing any remnant feelings she had.
Love… i’m going to fix the world.
None of this should have ever occured! it was a problem, it was a mistake, and *they* shouldnt have let it happen! *I* shouldnt have- …it’s all my mistake.
looking for a young adult female voice (early 20s). Shingle is stubborn yet caring. Her lines should come off as passionate, caring, and yet slightly intimidated and scared. Looking for someone able to display intense fear and pleading tones that contrast sharply with earlier attempts at being a voice of reason.
