Project Overview
Hello! Thank you so much for looking into this project of mine. This project is my thesis film so I can graduate!
What is this Project?
The year is 2067, and suicide rates are skyrocketing in Japan. A fairly small company known for AI/AR and high-tech robotics comes to a possible solution. TO BE REBORN, a new branch off this company was born—A suicide immersive simulation by killing a AR projection of yourself.
In the beginning, it was carefully monitored and studied: taking in volunteers and carefully monitoring the impact/effects of this process. Positive outcomes would come from this; Volunteers walking out with a little less weight on their chest and a smile on their face. Though with global expansion, people have figured out ways to take advantage of the AR technology.
In this film, we watch Levy– The off-putting outcast with a fascination of death he discovers his purpose of life through this technology.
DEADLINES
So my deadline for this project is either next fall for 27' spring. I'll be looking for voice-actors until November 12th (?), but I might pick sooner depending how my class schedule looks.
As I write this today, I currently have my first draft of my script. My second draft is still being looked over, so if you need a link to the script to feel it out, dm me!
WHAT TO EXPECT
To start off, You’ll get a big thank you for auditioning for my project! I’m deeply grateful.
This film is gritty and touches onto some serious topics through violence. It's edgy so don't be afraid to be edgy.
I would prefer clean recordings, But I’m not picky!
I’m okay with changing the lines a bit if it helps you get the line out cleaner! Once again, not too picky about it, I mostly want the personality of the line intact.
I might ask for line re-dos! Only if I feel the reliever doesn’t match up with the animation/animatic.
Please submit in wav. files!! It works the best with Toon Boom and after effects.
Wav files can be sent through Discord or e-mails if thats most preferred if you are picked to be a voice actor!
You will be credited at the credits! Please also send me any social media you would like tagged! ( this is for way later on when i actually finish the film)

UPDATE 10/30
Hey, so sorry for the radio silence on my end. The storyboard/animatic process was harder than I thought with this project. Currently in purgatory with making constant cuts and changes to satisfy professors and that kinda affects the script as well so Ive been sitting on picking voices till things are actually cleared up.
While I’m in clean ups now, my goal is to select VA’s by this upcoming week, either monday or friday since I do feel awful for taking so long! Other than that, thank you for the auditions really love the voices and hearing my characters come to life so seriously thank you!! (also Happy Halloween!)

Levy, a 34 year old man has nothing going for his life. He works as a crime-scene cleaner and fascinated over the gruesome scenes. He's always struggled with fitting in crowds, and considered odd at a glance. He's grown to accept this kind of life, simply living just to survive. Though it comes at a cost at his mindset, struggling with his purpose in life and coming to terms who he is as a person.

I dont have a concrete idea of how his voice would sound. I used to envision he has a slight russian accent, but it’s not necessary. But he does live in a fictional city similar to new york, so take that as you will.
I also want to add that near the end of the film he changes into a different person that seems more carefree and confident, hence why there is a confident tag. The second voice line should be carefree and smooth like he’s trying to be buddy buddy with someone.

Hi! Forgot to add this role in the beginning, but I am looking for a composer for my thesis. I need something unsettling/unnerving. It's set in the future 2067, so a technical beat is encouraged! The time limit on this role is long, since I'm in the first stages for my film and haven't finished my animatic.
To give full details, I will have the full animatic by December,14, 2025. My usual process is I give you the animatic so you can get a feel of the environment and beats from the animatic. I can also give you what I have currently to give you an insight what I'm fully looking for, I can even hand over the script if needed!
