Tiny Worlds

Tiny Worlds

Project Overview

Hey there!

This is a small project for a game jam — that means everything is being made from scratch under a tight deadline (just a couple days total).

Because of that, I’m looking for voice actors who can jump in quickly, record their lines fast, and bring strong emotion to a short but meaningful story. If I don’t get voices in time, there’s no game to deliver — so fast turnaround is crucial.

🎮 The Game

This is a minimalist typing game that tells a bittersweet love story simple gameplay, but heavy on tone and storytelling.

Each “level” is a small typing challenge. Complete it, and you unlock a short audio vignette a moment, a memory, or a conversation between a couple whose relationship slowly fell apart over time.

It's not about one person being the villain. It’s about the quiet things people do to hurt each other, even when they love each other. But it’s also full of warmth not just the end, but the joy they once had.

🎙️ The Roles

There are two characters: the Boyfriend and the Girlfriend.
These are just labels for tone and structure I'm open to anyone auditioning for either role, regardless of gender identity. What's most important is honest, emotionally grounded performances.

💔 The Boyfriend

Caring, a little guarded, more grounded. Practical but vulnerable. Hurt by being underestimated, but not blameless.

💔 The Girlfriend

Expressive, clever, sometimes sarcastic. Witty and warm, but occasionally careless with people’s feelings.

Latest Updates

  • Game Completed

    Hey everyone!

We just wanted to share the exciting news that Tiny World is officially finished and now live on Itch!
If you’d like to check it out, here’s the link: https://veras-studios.itch.io/tiny-world

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to send in an audition. It really meant a lot. Hearing so many different voices bring life to the characters was honestly one of the most special parts of making this game. Whether you were cast or not, I'm incredibly grateful for your interest and your time.

I hope you’ll give the game a try, and if you do, I'd love to hear what you think.

  • Script Finished

    I finished the script! https://docs.google.com/document/d/18JrRQw676MhLCZYmwPaEXcXGJotEg0hdxTsiwVQCwzs/edit?usp=sharing

This is my first time like seriously trying to write for a game. So it might be a tough read and i wrote it in obsidian and imported it into google docs so if there's weird symbols or formatting issues but I tried to fix it up.

I'm sharing the script now just so whoever gets the role can have it in advanced because I would need the script within like 24 hours so I wanted to give enough time.

If you want to use the script for practice even if you're not chosen you can do that too. Like I said first time really writing so might be kinda cringe lol. But you're free to use it for practice if you want and use your recording wherever.

Unpaid
Role assigned to: Jimmies

The first line is an argument, where they are really angry and frustrated.
Second line is a meeting after breaking up so it should be really awkward and kind of tense
Third line is a genuinely happy moment where they were in their honey moon stage
If something doesn't feel exactly right coming out of your mouth you can change up the line a bit but I would still like the main idea to be the same.

  • You made me feel like I'm some fucking joke. Like a fucking toy that you're going to grow out of.

  • Yeah anyways that's uh...(thinking of something to say) Uhh yeah what about you? What have you been up to?

  • (jokingly yelling/laughing) WHAT ARE YOU DOING! You don't put soy sauce in pancakes!

  • You're not someone I can rely on for anything! I needed you and you weren't there!

  • Sorry you just (awkward laugh) you still do that hand thing when you're nervous

  • Stop! You're gonna make me drop it! (laughing)
