Inspired by Game of Thrones, Throne of Harmony is a political fantasy audio drama set in a divided Equestria, where houses rise, friendships fall, and the death of a princess becomes the match that sets the kingdom ablaze.

Princess Luna returned from the moon just a few years ago, not by Twilight’s doing, but through the combined power of Celestia and Cadence, who used the Elements of Harmony in a desperate act of reunion. Though reformed, Luna carries the heavy burden of her past as Nightmare Moon, and the whispers of mistrust still linger in court. To reclaim her dignity and assert her equality, Luna requested her own house upon her return. House Lunar was born from that demand — a separate banner, a separate court, and a promise of balance that still feels fragile. Luna is stoic, fiercely independent, and deeply principled. She is slow to trust, even slower to forgive, but loyal to a fault when she believes in someone. Beneath her cool and formal exterior is a mare constantly at war with herself, torn between guilt, pride, and the fear of repeating her past. She loves Equestria — but no longer trusts the warmth of its light.

Celestia is the sovereign matriarch of House Solar and has ruled Equestria longer than any pony alive. She is revered as a beacon of wisdom and compassion — a radiant, almost mythic figure who raised generations under her guiding light. But the burdens of rule have left deep, quiet scars. Though her reign is marked by peace, Celestia is no stranger to hard choices. She governs with poise, but behind her diplomacy lies a deeply calculating mind. Her love for her sister is genuine, but so is her instinct to maintain power balance, even if it means withholding trust. The recent establishment of House Lunar, granted to Luna upon her return, was a gesture of equality, but not without tension. Celestia believes in order, in image, in the careful maintenance of a world she helped shape. She does not move quickly, but when she does, it is with finality. She rarely raises her voice — she doesn’t need to. Her presence alone can silence a room. At her best, she is benevolent and wise. At her worst, she sees the realm as hers to protect — even from itself.

Cadence is the ruler of the Crystal Empire and head of House Crystal, embodying grace under pressure. Known across Equestria for her ability to calm tensions and lead with love, Cadence is often underestimated — but behind her soft-spoken exterior lies a powerful and principled leader. Though the Crystal Empire governs itself, it remains part of the greater realm of Equestria, and Canterlot is still its capital. Cadence maintains a strong alliance with Princess Celestia of House Solar and was instrumental — alongside Celestia — in wielding the Elements of Harmony to bring Princess Luna back from exile. She is fiercely devoted to her husband, Shining Armor, and their daughter, Flurry Heart, now a teen preparing to take on the responsibilities of royalty. Cadence shares a deep bond with Twilight Sparkle, her sister-in-law. But when she is called to Canterlot under strange pretenses, Cadence finds herself surrounded by secrets, power games, and enemies who strike from the shadows. Like House Crystal itself, she is beautiful and unshakable — but she is also alone, standing in a kingdom where kindness is no longer currency, and honor is often fatal.

Twilight Sparkle is a highly gifted unicorn and the personal student of Princess Celestia. Raised in Canterlot and educated at the highest magical institutions, she has always been a prodigy — disciplined, brilliant, and wholly uninterested in the politics of court or the distractions of other ponies. She views friendship as a waste of time and emotion as something to manage, not embrace. Following the sudden death of Solemn Scroll, Celestia’s former Hand, Twilight was quietly relocated to the Crystal Empire — not for punishment, but protection. Celestia believed it was no longer safe for Twilight to remain in Canterlot as tensions between the royal houses deepened. Twilight, however, sees her exile as a setback, and a patronizing one at that. Living with her brother Shining Armor, her sister-in-law Cadence, and their daughter Flurry Heart, Twilight now watches the realm unravel from the outside. She is skeptical of the throne, wary of rumors, and determined to find answers for herself. But if war is coming, she may be the only one smart enough to stop it — or survive it.

Flurry Heart is the teenage princess of the Crystal Empire, the daughter of Cadence and Shining Armor. Though young, she carries the heavy responsibility of her family’s legacy with a natural kindness and earnest determination. She admires her mother deeply, but she’s not afraid to challenge the older generation when she thinks they’re wrong.
Flurry’s warmth and compassion make her beloved by many, but her youthful idealism sometimes puts her at odds with the harsh realities of politics. She’s learning quickly that ruling isn’t just about titles—it’s about standing up for what’s right, even when it’s difficult.
