Project
The Trifect is an interactive podcast/audiodrama -esque series, informally a 'not-cast', with complementary visual aid that discusses topics of all kinds like the elements of animation, personal identity, and exploring the mind's latent desires.
Voice Actor
Dr. Turbly
Dr. Turbly is a 153 yr. old turtle who is an eccentric billionaire, industry-shaper, altruistic mentor, and doctor, and he has been through a lot.
A self-made multitalented person, host of the game show Twisty Turbly, searching for 3 students worthy of inheriting his life's work and, using the gameshow to reach his terminally-ill son that he has sworn not to face until he can cure him.
The voice should be warm, weathered, unhurried, low-to-mid range and rustic due to his age.
He has a whimsical and showboaty quality to his voice, but also is serious and solemn when he needs to be.
A patient, articulate voice, but underneath is grief hiding behind his cheer. Elderly but never doddering, he is sharp witted, and his presence fills a room.

Time has not been kind to Omeki, the Mother Smocker, a scaleless, horned reptile who secretes her offspring through her underarms.
Her degradation with age is so pronounced she is believed to predate the Eternal Forest itself, surviving only on life-sustaining nourishment.
Don't be fooled: Her ingrown, spiraling horns are nothing but a head dressing for reinforcing her authority over her underlings.
The voice should be low, quiet, dry, slow, and deep in the chest, sounding worn and creaky due to her age. She has a formal, old-fashioned quality to her speech, every word clear and properly pronounced, even spoken in a short breath.
A soft-spoken yet commanding voice, with a weary, fed-up undertone beneath the authority.
Ancient but never decrepit, sounding calm even when threatening, and carries a faintly reptilian sound. Her s sounds are slightly drawn out, but she is never to be portrayed as a cartoony depiction of snake.

Their survival is bolstered in numbers.
There's no place for an "I" in teamwork, after all…
The VoiceThe voice is reedy, wet, and short of breath, with slick, drawn-out s, sh, z, and c sounds. You can hear desperation in their voice, made to be hidden by a false bravado.
A faltering voice exploding into unrestrained, frantic bursts, with words swallowed mid-sentence.
Characterized as a mischief/annoyance rather than something threatening, with a mournful undercurrent.
It is on the verge of death, and it knows.
