PLOT
This story centers around a girl named Scarlet, a 16 year old normal high school girl who loves the color red. One day while shopping with her mom, she comes across an alley and finds a red dress. Little does she know that the dress is actually haunted by a ghost named Ruby, an 11 year old girl who owned the dress many years before.

DEADLINE
The deadline for all auditions is September 12th, 2021 (this may change depending on the amount of auditions). Once you are cast, I will send you the link to the discord server. After everyone has been cast, I will send the script out on the discord server as soon as possible. You will have up to 2 weeks to get your lines in. Keep in mind that I'm hoping to get this project out in October if possible. This project is short-term, so it shouldn't take more than a couple months to finish.
Scarlet is the main protagonist in this story. She's a kind girl who can get annoyed easily. She is also very friendly. Although she is a smart girl, she is pretty forgetful at times and can get into trouble.
(Amazed) Wow! This dress is so beautiful!
(Annoyed) Did she really forget to tell me. *groans* Well, I guess I can't argue now.
(Scared) What the...why won't it come off...oh no...this is bad...this is very, very bad!
Ruby is another main character in this story (even though she doesn't appear until later, she's still pretty important in the story) She is the ghost of the red dress and does terrible things to anyone who puts on the dress. She mostly acts like a child, gets annoyed often, and acts scary at times.
(annoyed) A ghost? Yeah, I'm "so scary."
(defensive/mad) Don't call her that! I don't call her that because she's still my best friend!
(scary/evil) Now...who will my next victim be.... *evil laugh*
Alexander, or Alex for short, is Scarlet's younger brother. He is somewhat the definition of a "good child," but he can be annoying when his parents aren't around.
(neutral/regular) I'm not sure, but I do know you're taking me to school today.
(Disgusted) Don't tell me...I don't need to know.
(sound annoying/have attitude) I am serious, Scarlet.
Ava is one of Scarlet's best friends. She can also get annoyed easily when it comes to certain people, and can have attitude. Despite all this, she's still a great friend to have. (She also secretly ships her friends, except it's not a secret to one of them-)
(worried) What took you so long! Even though you were only late by a couple minutes, I was still worried that something happened to you!
(annoyed) What are you doing here Brittany?
(nervous-ish) Wait! What if a ghost cursed it!
Jack is Scarlet's other best friend. He's a cool and nice guy, and a lot of girls like him. Scarlet has a crush on him, but he doesn't know it yet.
(questioning/neutral) If you don't mind me asking, why were you more late than usual?
(annoyed) Brittany, please stop acting like you're above everyone and leave us alone.
(reassuring) Don't listen to them, I'm sure you did great on the test.
Brittany is pretty much your typical mean girl. She is the principal's daughter, and uses that title to her advantage. She pretty much hates everyone except for Emma and Jack (whom she has a crush on).
(angry) Quiet Emma!
(rude) Anyways, Scarlet, don’t use that attitude towards me. I’m the principal’s daughter so don’t even try with me!
(apologizing, say last part of final sentence in a flirty way) Oh! Sorry Jack, I didn’t mean all that stuff anyways! Well except for the loser part, but you’re not a loser to me.
Emma is Brittany's best (and only) friend. She's a really sweet girl, but follows along with Brittany in order to make her happy. She is also pretty shy, and doesn't talk as much.
(shy) Hi Scarlet, we don’t want much but- (she gets cut off)
(nervous/say quickly) Sorry, got to go!
(laugh a little)
Emilie is Scarlet and Alex's mom. She is pretty forgetful like her daughter and a very loving person. She wants what's best for her children and wants to make sure they're doing alright.
(cheerful) Hey kids, how was school?
(apologizing) Oh right, sorry sweetie, I’ll make sure to remember.
Aaron is Scarlet and Alex's dad. He is pretty minor with only a few lines, but I will say that he is a fun loving dad.
(neutral) Hey Scarlet! What's the rush?

Mr. Anderson is Scarlet's teacher. He is very minor, so there isn't really much to say about his character.
(neutral) Alright class, today we’re going to be taking the chapter test, so please put all your books and devices away.

Sophie is Ruby's older sister. She will appear in a backstory where she is 14, and then in the present when she's in her mid 40's.
(AGE = 14) (exclaiming) Hey Ruby, your friend Harmony is here!
(AGE = mid 40's) (sad) I can't believe this happened, I'm so sorry....
Mr. Wilson is Ruby and Sophie's Dad. He appears only in a backstory, so he's pretty minor.
