The Oneironaut - A Minecraft Roleplay
Project Overview
Sirfira is almost your everyday high schooler, however, being a Dreamare is a very different life than your average person. Being taught to be an oneironaut their whole life they are finally in the field while still going to school. However, nothing can prepare a person for the real world. What are the consequences for a mistake? Will they be deadly? What is the true purpose for getting rid of people’s nightmares? Will Sirfira and their friends be able to conquer all or will they make a deadly mistake? We will find out…
Our world is set in a modern fantasy country and is in a melting pot city with all different types of people and all different accents
For the most part you are able to pick/help decide what your character looks like, this is optional.

Being a VA on this team means you are able to play as your character in a semi-scripted improv. I give you a base but it’s up to you how they are portrayed. We may even change the script to fit the version of your character we see in each episode. Your input is valid and we will try and work with it. Almost everyone will be one of the lead characters in at least one episode if not stated as a main character, this includes our BAs who are text based. As a voice actor, you may be asked to play a text based character when you are not on screen such as a teacher, Oneiric Daemon or other important roles that don’t need to be voiced. Some voiced characters are one off characters but it’s still possible for you to voice another character that is seen more regularly once you are on the team. Even if you aren’t chosen for the roles listed, I may still recruit you for another character or for you to create your own, so even if you don’t think you are the best, GO FOR IT! Feel free to audition for multiple parts.

Play your own unique character.(it can be similar to one of mine) We are able to make the skin for you and try to match it as close as possible to what you want. Based on how you act the first four episodes, your character will be used where we think you fit. There are rules though, such as, if you want to be a bully/mean to the MC, you will be a part of that cliche. We still have open club options if you would like your character to be a club leader. Your name can’t be anything that wouldn’t be a PERSON’S name but you can have a nickname with good cause such as Bonnie(Boo) or Brynn who is part bunny.(Bunny) There could also be a story behind the nickname but that would have to be approved. Please leave below, name, age (16-18), Pronouns, Species, height (4’8”- 6’4”), grade (11-12), and personality/what their casting call would be. You can also propose a one off/side character alongside your character(age and grade wouldn’t have to follow the guideline), keep in mind, your character and one off/side character could never be seen at the same time.

Oswald Dreams is a wizard and the adoptive father of Sirfira Dreamare. When Sirfira was just about 2, Oswald was set to babysit his niece from his elder sister, however, she never returned and neither did her husband. After all signs of their magic had disappeared, he adopted young Sirfira as his own. Although not an Oneironaut, he had enough knowledge on the subject to help get Sirfira’s seemingly uncontrollable powers under wraps. He’s also the theater teacher at Arcane Academy, with a personality to fit that role. Something seems off though. Something sinister. How was he able to obtain a magic item of that caliber? On a teacher’s salary?! (Fye-Ra)

Lenny Gust is a ghost who is always around and knows everything. He is also the student council president. As president he welcomes everyone with a big smile. Almost like a narrator, he makes sure to fill in the team and has their back when they “get to work”. However, Lenny’s wealth of knowledge isn’t always good. What if he were to slip and tell someone just what they were doing and idk, say what really happened to Jake. That wouldn’t be good, now would it.

Jason Jackson is a werewolf who follows Christopher around religiously. A big bro dude jock who acts like a surfer from Southern California but plays soccer, whatever California is. Flirts with anyone and everyone. Nothing is better than consent. He’s never said he was gay but we are pretty sure at this point. A secret love for musical theater breaks his surfer persona to be a flamboyant actor, and he’s pretty good too. He’s really just a gentle giant.

Mia Aria is a demon who is a part of Harper’s mean girls trio. Mia is our damsel in distress constantly, always needing help from other people, mostly men come to her aid. She has forgotten how to use the pencil sharpener multiple times, she uses mechanical pencils. She is the world’s favorite dummy. She is very loving and doesn’t understand the whole mean girls thing but hypes up her friends. She is bisexual.

Simon Lucky is a giant-leprechaun, otherwise known as average sized. He’s also a teacher of environmental science at Arcane Academy. He’s a calm and down to earth man, also quite young for a teacher. He’s up to date on slang he’s learned from the kids. As the environmental science teacher he is well beloved. Female students take an extra liking to him, however, the only women in his life are his mum, his sisters, and especially his wife. You’d think he was a werewolf with how loyal he is to his wife. His wife is Jessica Lucky.

Jessica Lucky is a pixie and is also an art teacher at arcane academy. She serves as Sirfira’s sculpture teacher as well as the teacher representative of the art club. Her animatedness and creativity rival that of our Mr.Dreams. She is very much a go with the flow person much to the dismay of her husband Simon Lucky. This pixie is very small and flies around her classroom to receive attention.

Chloe Martin is a serpent and also a history teacher at arcane academy. She teaches Sirfira history of Aetherian women. She is a crabby old woman with a very cranky attitude. She doesn't take anything from anyone and you bet she gives out a lot of detentions. The most detentions out of any teacher on campus. She does, however, have a large sweet tooth and can be easily tamed by a baked good or good coffee.

Leo Poppy is a sentient plant created by Rosa Melanie. Leo is the lunch staff for Arcane Academy. They are a very interesting character, not fully registering that they are, in fact, alive. They enjoy themself as our lunch staff, we think, they don’t say otherwise. They do, though, talk a lot, enjoying the feeling of vibrations from their own voice. Although they prefers random noises, they can communicate in English, enjoying many different types of music in a variety of languages that they understand. They are a living experiment, and they are content. Not a single drop of ill will in their body.

Justin Shiner is a human and the father of Jake Shiner. He is quite stern and borderline rude. He is married to Emma Shiner, together they run a semi-legal arms dealing business that is fairly popular. It’s perfectly legal! Until they sell to minors and the mafia. But no one needs to know that. Not like any one will snitch, right? He has a tough exterior and marksmen aim, making him a good ally to our main cast in case they might need it.

Ocean Lapin is a bunny demi-human. He is the younger brother to Brynn and the twin brother to Arctic. Ocean died at 13 years old from falling off a cliff at their uncle's cabin. Ocean appears in Bunny’s and Arctic’s dreams. He’s very shy and likes to be by his brother’s side. He eventually starts appearing for just Sirfira, trying to warn them.

The Oneiric Daemons are a type of Daemon who are born from hell, nothing like demons who are born in the mortal realm, sharing only the same pronunciation. They are created by the prince of fear and the prince of nightmares and are under the control of the prince of nightmares. They appear in people’s subconscious and try to murder their host’s soul in order to take over their bodies. The higher class ones are able to speak fluently. There are many of them, being able to produce 4 per year. They have a plethora of personalities, some being smarter than others.

Body actors act alongside VAs as text based versions of either their own character or random side characters such as teachers, waiters, etc. Body actors’ own characters are treated the same as VA actors in that they have chances to be spotlighted in episodes whether the episode is about them and their lore or if they are in the same school group as Sirfira. If you randomly get a better mic it’s possible to become VA later. Body actors are what keep the video going and are thus, very important.

STILL OPEN Reed Evergreen is a deer demi-human who prefers the world of fantasy to the world of people. Reed dabbles in writing, often writing for the theater department's original plays, aspiring script writer. Our skittish friend was forced into the theater by Harmony after seeing his work during an english project in middle school. He keeps to himself when he isn’t being forced to be social by the theater kids. A bookworm at heart, Reed spends his free time in the library with Eliza.

Macie Liticker, age 5, is the heiress to the Liticker family. She is also known as the devil by all her previous caretakers. Left alone to her caretakers by her busy mother and father, she lashes out and scares off her caretakers. After being forced by the school to babysit her, Sirfira and Bonnie(Boo) meet and find out her story. An instant connection is built between Boo and Macie. Both show affection through their bullying. Once a devil and now still one but she lessens a bit.

Chasidy Simmons is a bird demi-human and is very chatty. She is an overachiever and does as much as possible to get into a good college. She is in multiple clubs, in tennis, and on the Student Council. She is also a club leader of *Your Choice* She wants to try every club but has a fear of the occult, of course the one day she goes, that club summons one of the daemons from hell, and they are an alcoholic, double whammy. She is too stubborn to back down from her goals. (Daemon is said the same as demon)

Finley McDonald is a currently genderless character whose gender is your choosing. Finley is the realist of the group, reacting how a normal person would to events that the rest of the group take as a normal. Screaming as their friend takes a gun on someone while the rest questions where he got it this time. Finley’s race is undecided, they can be human, demihuman, or demon, just not a daemon, huge difference between the two. Finley joined the group last(before Brynn and Arctic) in Sophmore year. There are still a lot of things they don’t know about the rest, being out of the loop on a lot of things. Finley is athletic as they shoulder the burden of telling the group what’s weird on deaf ears. It does in fact say Goddess in the line, it was intentional. This is an over the top role, a real 0 - 100.

Harmony Moore is human and your classic over dramatic theater kid. Harper and her have a small feud, mostly on Harper’s end. Harmony is bubbly and infectious. She gets the lead role of every play through raw talent. Choosing Reed to be under her wing, against his wishes, she makes Arcane Academy’s theater department successful. She leads each production under Mr Dream’s direction and takes on every role possible, including choreographer. She flirts with everyone possible without meaning to.

Eliza Brookstone is a cat demi-human and is your casual quirky bookworm. Has all book smarts and no street smarts. She is also an amazing baker and was quick to join the cooking club’s Friday coffee shop, joining every Friday. If it isn’t Friday, you can find her in the corner of the library eating with Reed. She follows Reed around, becoming a semi willing member of the theater club. She gets attention from the jocks but mostly just runs away from them.

River Nyström is a currently genderless water spirit character who becomes a main cast member by the end of the series. Getting lost at sea is bad news for anybody but worse for a young water spirit who knows how to get out of the situation but is unable to do it. The 8 year old River soon learned through this experience that going with the flow is the best way to get to your goal. And they took it a little too literally. Whatever Quinn tells them to do they do and they know Quinn would never take advantage of them. Having a one on two with Boo and Sirfira ends with River’s first request of Quinn, to join their group. All they needed was to push through that day 10 years ago to change what had been their personality since that day.

Draco Velvet is an arachnid vice principal of Arcane Academy. He’s tall and mysterious, giving an off aura about him. He’s strangely drawn towards the occult and helps the occult club summon a daemon. His stare pierces through people and he can place webs on the feet of running students trying to make an escape. He is very responsible and keeps the school in check with help from Principal Melanie and Lenny.

Rosa Melanie or Ms. Melanie is the human principal of Arcane Academy. She is an alchemist and helps run the gardening, cooking, drama, and alchemy clubs. She is responsible for finding a lost quick grow for plants known as bone meal that was around during primitive times. She is sweet and gentle and isn’t one to punish people easily, unless they were to misuse magic of course. She is well versed in magic items, creating an item that can only be used by Sirfira. It’s believed she gained the good will of the goddess and thus has remained young for 349 years, her heart has stayed young as well. Her crush on Mr. Dreams is apparent but unreciprocated. She can be seen at every theater practice.

Harper Frostbourne is a werewolf and the girlfriend of Christopher. She’s a classic mean girl and one sided enemies with Boo, Boo couldn’t care less about her. She may not be book smart but she is very intelligent with people. Her family is unmaterialistic while she wants branded clothes and the newest Y-Phone. She leads her trio as heart throbs, mostly using her charms and Ava’s magic. Harper is extremely manipulative and uses it to get her way.

Gideon Meadowbrook is a lion demi-human and is your classic weird theater kid. If you pay attention to theater kid drama you would find him in a new love triangle every week. He’s flashy in fashion and a loveable teddy bear at heart, being one of the tallest students at the academy. He loves to join people’s conversations and most people don’t mind. His sexuality is unknown, however, he does many things that could go either way. He is the only one Christopher is afraid to mess with. Gideon and Sirfira are the only ones able to get away with calling Christopher Chris.

Alex Honey is a fairy and is not nearly as nice as the name would suggest. As the school nurse of Arcane Academy, they do their job and that’s it. Taking many smoke breaks throughout their shift and more so when there are people in their office. They are grouchy and almost unbearable to be around for long periods of time. Can be either male or female.

Ava Grace is a mermaid who is a part of Harper’s mean girls trio. She really can’t think for herself so she lets Harper do it for her. As a mermaid she’s able to alter people’s thoughts to a certain extent. Using this she is able to get men to bend to her and Harper’s wills to an extent. She’s still young and only able to do so much, Mermaids are not allowed to learn how to fully control people and most are unable to even get that far if they wanted to. Much to Mia’s dismay, Ava can only affect men. She’s beautiful and knows how to use this to her advantage.

Quinn Ross is a currently genderless human character who becomes a main cast member by the end of the series. Quinn is what you call strong willed and won’t back down from any challenge. ANY CHALLENGE. Quinn has always lived in the big, diverse, city that is Onri, however, this doesn’t stop them from feeling less than their non-human classmates. Quinn does their best to be at the top of everything. From being on sports teams, being the top of the class, and to being a successful club leader of the cooking club, Quinn has it all locked down. With the help of their water spirit best friend, Quinn can do anything.

Mason Anderson is a werewolf who follows Christopher around like a lost puppy. Very clumsy, and an idiot. After being offered a pb and j from Chrisopher in second grade, after he lost his lunch, he hasn’t left his side, even after he had an allergic reaction to the peanut butter. He has eaten peanuts by accident so many times he is now immune to his allergy and no longer has reactions. He guesses on every test and always gets a 91.2%, even on a multiple choice, 10 question quiz. Maybe he is smart, idk tho.

Quill Sable is a raccoon demi-human who is also the janitor at Arcane Academy. He prides himself for his cleanliness. He’s very tidy and doesn’t like people going into his janitor’s closet. Could he be hiding a secret? He’s calm but strict. He tends to be the last one in the school, cleaning at night, sometimes close to midnight. His presence detours vandals and lurkers from entering the school’s buildings. He has quick reflexes and is quite agile. Please don’t give him cotton candy. It’s really sad.

Lional Meza is a mouse demi-human who gets chased around by the overly friendly and fellow student council member, Chasidy. Lional is more antisocial but gets thrown into social situations by Chasidy. All he wants is to go to a good college on scholarship so against his best wishes, he does as much as possible. As VP he helps the student council tremendously. He’s cowardly and short, seeming most friendly with shorter students. He’s Chrisotpher’s verbal punching bag.
