SERIES SYNOPSIS
– A ‘brief’ summary of everything to do with this series –
“After making a very questionable bet, Adrien Dewstone is tasked with solving Several infamous murders that have plagued the small town of Westershire for over 3 decades now. Although, it seems our Detective knows a lot more than he’s initially letting on, and certain allies of his throw into question Adrien’s true morality, and why he’s actually solving these murders, a question which local ex-reporter Samson Rodgers is determined to figure out.”
Adrien is a LEADING role in The Mystery in Crimson, my indie show. He is a very demanding role, with long scripts and lines that usually hit upwards of fifty minutes. This is a recast, as his original voice actor has stepped down, though I don't need something that matches IDENTICALLY to his original, I need something that works off it.
He is in his mid 30s and a parent, I do need someone who can make him sound somewhat old. Not ridiculously old of course, but again I believe that was something the original voice nailed.
Adrien swears very spareingly, however he does do it on occasion. If this is something that makes you uncomfortable, I'd advise not auditioning.
He has a Queen's English accent, also known as the stereotypically posh one. He's snide, charismatic and bratty to almost everyone he interacts with barring his children, Jesse and Jackson.
He is a Lawyer and Detective, and as such acts rather sophisticated if extremely rude, his voice should reflect this. The episodes that are up are good examples to how he sounds, however, my personal headcanon voice for him has always been Jonathan Sims from The Magnus Archives, I'd recommend going for a similar voice / tone to that.
His voice should also be flexible and ranged, he's extremely sassy and cold when talking to strangers, while also very soft and gentle when talking to his children. I need whoever fills this role to be able to balance that. Like I said, he's DEMANDING, if you take this role you will need to balance a number of different factors.
Some additional notes include the fact that Adrien is quite theatrical and dramatic, often saying words in a sing-songy way, but that can be sarcaficed and I'm not too bothered about him losing that aspect. The main points are his flamboyant but rude nature, and his shift when he's speaking to people he likes.

[ Smug ] - "Exactly! That is precisely why I’m doing this, Miss Rich! More attention equals more money, more money equals more funding, more funding equals more cases closed, that’s just statistics."
[ Disheartened / Anxious ] - "That was unanimous, I hadn’t a say-- I DEFENDED you! I swear I tried all I could they just- I- I don’t control them!"
[ Threatening ] - "You’re lucky my kids are home, but if I see you anywhere near my property again, mark my words, Morningshade. I will make sure the cops don’t even know where to start, I’ve covered up a lot of things in my time, I can do it again. Do not cross me."
This is a part two of 3 additional lines, as I need to be extra sure that whoever I cast has the range to pull Adrien off. Thank you for your time :)

[ Cheerful ] - "I must hand it to you, kiddo! With acting skills like those you're certainly going places! Bravo!!"
[ Softly to Intrigued ] - "Shhh, shh, shh, hey, I promise, it's okay. I find the fact that you’re so enamoured by my job sweet, it’s just that it’s, haha– y’know, not the safest thing in the world [ Soft laugh into hmmmm ] Hmmm, though now that I think about it… You know what, I think I have an idea, a- a compromise if you will.."
[ Frustrated / Panicked ] - "-Because that is exactly what I'm afraid of! The idea that you could end up making the same mistakes I did!- Getting married young, having children young- throwing your life away at nineteen! I don't want that for you-- I just want to protect you!"
Any software, TMiC "animation" is tweened stills, so I'm not looking for a frame by frame animator, but an artist who can send in files separate to eachother!
The artstyle doesn't need to match mine precisely, but I'd recommend auditioning if you're good at mimicking styles. You also don't need to color the frames, I will do that! It's just a linearting job. Please send your art / animation examples below.
