The Possession of The Guard
Project Overview
Intro
First off, I'd like to say this isn't the most professional project. It's a fanmade story based upon the events of Disneys The Lion King and The Lion Guard. It will be in a style similar to that of animash, which means taking clips from the original movies and editing them in a way that makes a new story. I do not claim any of the clips that are edited in the final product. We already have a small team of editors and artist (we could use more), now all we need is the voice actors. The visuals of the trailer have been completed, and we now only need the voices to publish it. I'd like to say one more time, this project is just for fun and in no way is meant to be completely professional.
Basic Story
The Lion Guard 2 is a story of Hila (Kiara) and her battle with evil spirits. As the fiercest of the guard, it is her job to overcome and defeat the ghost that is tormenting her into going down the wrong path. She suffered as it tried to persuade her day and night, but she refused to let it get in the way of her duty as leader of the guard. After her mother's death, Hila assembles the guard. Her family (which includes her brother, the king) is supportive as she sets off to the jungle in hopes of finding the lions she needs to defend the pride. On her journey, she finds a young, relaxed lion who resides in the jungle. This strange lion is accompanied by a slightly older lioness, who appears to be his mentor and guide. They are revealed to be Shingo (Zira) and Tawi (Simba). These lions join the guard as the fastest and keenest of sight. Back at the pride, they return to find the strongest lion in the pride, Almasi (Mufasa). He is recruited into the guard as the strongest. Finally, they come across a rogue lion name Hakimu (Kovu), who proves himself to be the bravest and the most daring of the pride. He then goes on to join them in the guard. The guard is now complete, but can Hila continue to fight off these spirits who constantly torture her mind?

- Your microphone does not have to be 100% perfect, as long as we can make out what you're saying then we'll consider you
- Do not tell spoilers to anyone outside of the production
- Everyone's ideas will be equal, but as the main creator I will make final decisions

Hila is the leader of the guard and the guard's fiercest. She is young and naive, with a strong sense of adventure. She has a strong bond with her best friend Shingo. Over the course of the movie, she will be taunted and teased by spirits that constantly follow her, making her slowly lose her grip on reality. Her voice is fairly feminine, but will gradually sound tougher as she gets angrier. Her voice will become slightly high pitched as she gets more stressed and desperate.

Sing a short part of a slow, calming song of your choice
Hakimu is the bravest of the guard. Also known as a cocky, fairly aggressive lion. His dialogue usually consists of sarcastic comments and rude remarks. Nobody completely trusts him in the guard, other than Almasi who he will develop a relationship with during the film. His voice will be subtly deep with a touch of roughness, he will often chuckle mid-sentence. When he is upset, his voice will tend to shake and stutter.

His singing voice should be low and intimidating, showing his consistent aggression.
Sing a short part of a quick-paced, dark song of your choice
Almasi, as the strongest of the guard, is a vain and proud lion. He is very muscular, and so has a deep, dominant voice. Often, he brags about his power and looks, usually going on a tangent about how 'he's so amazing'. Throughout the movie, he asks Hakimu out multiple times, being rejected every time to his dismay. Despite his conceitedness, he is always willing to defend his friends at whatever cost.

Tawi is a very carefree, but sensitive lion. He is the keenest of sight in the guard and often finds himself wondering if he's actually important to the guard. He's quite a humorous character but can have his serious moments. In the movie, he looks up to Almasi and admires his strength and confidence. I'd prefer for him to have an Essex accent, but I can settle for other things too. His voice should usually be relaxed, unless in a tense moment.

Shingo is the fastest of the guard and is considered to be the wisest of them. She often gives the other guard-members advice and guidance. She is a little older than the others, but it doesn't stop her from performing well in battle. She often can come across as snappy and strict, but always looks out for the well-being of her friends. Her voice is slow and smooth, and her words can often sting. She will often drag out her syllables when she speaks.

Her singing voice should be formal and have diverse volume to represent her experience and intelligence.
Sing a short part of a meaningful, guiding song
Scar is the spirit that haunts Hila, constantly trying to convince her to betray her friends and family to have power. He has multiple small appearances during the movie, and it is often a dream-like sequence. His voice should be similar to how is it in the original Lion King, I don't expect it to be an 100% accurate impression, but please get as close as you can.

Glasi is the mother of Hila, she passes away early in the movie. She was a respectable and noble queen, she is also the reason that Hila pursued her journey to assemble the guard. Her voice should sound warm and welcoming, along with subtle coughing (as she is dying when we see her). Her voice should grow quieter as she continues her sentences.

Kipofu is the brother of Hila and the king of pride rock. Many of the other lions believe he isn't fit to be king as he is scrawny and weak, but he is loyal, noble and willing to protect his pride. His voice is similar to a teenage boy (despite being an adult) and it has subtle undertones of roughness. He will sometimes stutter, but not extremely often. He will protect his younger sister at all costs, always siding with her.

We will be needing a team of people who are able to either design background, create character designs or possibly draw over resources to edit a character. We will be casting multiple artists.
Say something you think would fit
Kuona is simply a messenger who passes information onto the guard. Her character is not extremely relevant, and could be played by somebody who doesn't have much experience. The tone of her voice wont be completely important as she wont have too many lines.

Safi is the sister of Tawi. She is the heir to the throne in the jungle and serves as a placeholder for Shingo when she joins the guard. She will only appear in 1-2 scenes and is a good role for those starting out in voice acting.
