The Legend of the Locust (Animated Web Series)
Project Overview
I'm creating a CGI animated series and am looking for voice actors to fill out the roles. For the moment, I'm creating 2 episodes of 5-7 minutes each, and after that we'll see where it goes.
LOTL could be described as a cross between 'Harry Potter' and 'The X-Files' with DNA of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Ender's Game thrown in. It's based in the world of today and is centered around 4 students in a secret and elite school, buried under the Nevada desert, in a place the rest of us call Area 51.
These kids are in the process of being trained to be among the first generation to take humanity to the stars, uplifted, in secret by aliens.
But the aliens aren't telling the complete truth, and their lie could lead to the end of the Earth as we know it...

Bullied all his life, and suffering from nightmares about the future, Fintan entered the school lacking confidence in a big way.
Fintan has never left his home country of Ireland, and now finds himself in outer space!
And when he teams up with the others he begins to come out of his shell. In particular, Nizhoni -- whom he has dreamed about his entire life -- seeing her die a million times, he sets out to prevent that...but can he succeed?
Note -- Rehearsal will have him say 'Nizhoni', which is pronounced 'Nee-shaw-Nee'
"What did he say her name was....? Nizhoni. That's it...Nizhoni."

Ayako Katsuragi

Ayako is a member of a long line of Japanese military families dating back to the samurai of the Edo period. She's a woman of hidden depths, with secrets she's not ready to share.
She is probably the most skilled of the pilots, but as a once-in-a-generation genius, she'll generally held back from combat much to her chagrin.
Note: She says 'Nizhoni' in the audition -- this should be pronounced Nee-Shaw-Nee

A Navajo (and proud of it) from New Mexico, Nizhoni is necessarily tough. Having entered the school through a secret 'back door' run by her people, she's fiercely loyal to the Navajo, and is working to make sure that they aren't limited to a 'reservation' when humanity finds its way to the stars. A fierce warrior and a brilliant pilot who is sometimes prone to insubordination, she's still the best friend you'll ever have.
There's a mysterious connection between her and Fintan -- he has dreamed about her since he was really young -- even though they've never met, and there's something about him that stirs something dark within her.
"We can't let it through....only one thing left to try!"
"They cannot hurt me. They cannot touch me. They cannot harm one who has dreamed a dream like mine."
"No-one here is exactly what they appear. Be on your guard!"
