Project Overview

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a comic book series written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Kevin O'Neill, The story takes place in a fictional world where all of the characters and events from Victorian literature (and possibly the entirety of fiction) coexist.

The Victorian Era draws to a close and the twentieth century approaches. It is a time of great change and an age of stagnation, a period of chaste order and ignoble chaos. It is an era in need of champions.

In this amazingly imaginative tale, literary figures from throughout time and various bodies of work are brought together to face any and all threats to Britain. Allan Quatermain, Mina Murray, Captain Nemo, Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde and Hawley Griffin ( the Invisible Man) form a remarkable legion of intellectual aptitude and physical prowess: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

This is an audio book adaptation of the comics. we will start with vol 1 issues 1-6

Requirements/Important Info:

-be open to team work ( I will try to organize cast readings when possible )

-be ok with adult language and themes ( this ain't a kids book)

-I'm a flexible person but I will appreciate if you inform me of your availability , other than that you can be free to go about with life

-be aware that recordings will start around May-June: I'm a busy person since this is my last year in Highschool I'll be too busy to supervise the project. I want you to be committed to the project but it is ok if you back off later down the road once you are cast you must take up the responsibility for your role.

     I can't actually change it for some reason but I already made most of my choices of who I want to cast and I have finished writing the script of chapter 1. so you will all be cast at some point by the end of this week. in the likely event that any of the adutions of a character are not chosen , I want to tell you that I had another Casting callin Behind the voice actors. Wilhelmina "Mina" Murray(previously Harker) is a British adventurer turned immortal, a former music teacher and agent for the British Secret Service. She was also the leader of  of the League.


Mina Murray has a strongly independent personality. 


Mina Murray's encounters with Count Dracula have led her into becoming a very capable leader. Murray displays this ability in her talent in controlling Mr. Hyde several times as well as succesfully planning a method to prevent the destruction of Limehouse from Professor Moriarty.

Jekyll is shown to be a very nervous man. He was noted as having been the type of person to pick at his food and constantly sweat. He tries his best to be civil, having refused to create a distraction at Limehouse by fighting the Chinese henchmen working there. According to Hyde, Jekyll has increasingly become a shell of his former self. It is implied by Hyde that Jekyll (and possibly Hyde by extension) is gay, which his Victorian shame over his sexuality served as the impetus for his attempt to "purge himself of the evil inside him."

Hawley Griffin was a skilled research scientist who discovers a formula that makes a human being invisible.The formula entails taking opium and another drug, which make his blood clear, then processing him in a radiator engine. It succeeds, but he finds himself unable to reverse the process. Griffin is a psychopathic murderer, rapist and traitor to humankind.

He is the former archenemy of Sherlock Holmes and "Napoleon of Crime", while simultaneously being the head of British Intelligence and employer of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
