The Land Before Time: A Time For Healing
Project Overview
Long ago...
Long before man ever walked upon the earth, there lived the dinosaurs. Some had sharp teeth and ate the flesh of others, while others had flat teeth for consuming vegetation and fruit. The weak died, and the strong survived. Life was like a constant, brewing storm; a saurian had to be smart in order to make it, and they never knew which day would be their last. This was the way of the wild for all on land and sea… all except for those who lived in the Great Valley, that is.
“Everything is hell. It doesn’t get better, it never has for me.” - Jera
You gladly gave me everything you had and more
You craved my happiness
When you made me feel joy it made you smile
But now I feel your stress
Love was never meant to be such a crazy affair, no
And who has time for tears?
Never thought I'd sit around and cry for your love
'till now
Get ready to experience a take on Don Bluth's beloved children's story "The Land Before Time" like never seen before. "A Time For Healing" is an audio drama that chronicles an arduous battle between grimdark and hopepunk. The story follows Jera, a female spireback (ubirajara), that has been through excruciating emotional pain and deals with trauma. She meets Littlefoot in the Great Valley, and things seem to be looking up until it all comes crashing down.
Will Jera find a way to get over her trauma? Will she find a place in this world? Will she return the kindness of those who have been good to her, or will she lash out against the innocent?
This audio drama will be an indeterminate amount of parts, but will likely exceed 20+ in number. The length of each episode will be aimed at 20 minutes.

“Dang it! I forgot to ask how I get out of here.” (frustrated)
“Bug friends. I’m surprised they aren’t afraid you’ll eat them.” (chuckling)
"Leafeaters… offering aid to a sharptooth… hah! Who has ever heard of such a thing?" (huffing, disbelief, moody)
A dark gray, blue and white male fastbiter (utahraptor) with blue eyes. He's a rough, self-isolating rogue who isn't much in the way of kindness.
- male adult
(firm, serious, calmly angry) "Perhaps I have more use for one such as you than for eating. My name is Radakk, and it’s because of you that my combat buddy was killed. I will spare your life today; survive this, and I will recruit you to serve by my side in his stead until the end of your days. If you refuse, I will cut you down.”
Taken by AuroraNova off-site. A black and red male legwing (sharovipteryx) with blue eyes. He's chill, happy and loves socializing. He brings brightness to everyones day and encourages others through their troubles. He worships The Light Beyond The Sky Stars (Jesus, obviously).

“I can tell you’ve been through a lot, if the way I found you wasn’t already a sign of it, and I want you to know that you are important. You are good. You are worth it. I will be your friend, even if no one else is there. Find me in the tree tops on the tallest peak of the tallest mountain, on the clearest night; there I will be, watching for messages from The Light.”

“Earlier this morning. I turned around and she was gone, with no trace. I didn’t think much of it at the time, the valley is supposed to be safe from sharpteeth, and I figured she must have run off to play with Littlefoot and the others, but with this thing running around, I… I just… I don’t know. I request that some folk go with me to find her, I’ll lead.”
