The Guardian Of the Forest is an fantasy/adventure audiodrama with Lgbt themes that will be posted on YouTube. The first episode will likely be posted in the late fall/early winter of this year.
Sypnopsis:
Tora Issac Halestorm is the next great guardian of the forest of Erasid, home to mythical creatures of all kinds. The compass chose him, so there’s no way around it. And he’d be fine with it if it wasn’t so soon.
With the last guardian missing, Tora is forced to take on the role of Guardian, even though he’d rather be looking for his brother, Victor. He knows the caverns aren’t safe, but if he doesn’t look for Vic, who will?
Of course, fate seems to be in his favour when he comes across a human during patrol, who insists he's the son of Tora's predecessor. So what's a wolven to do but team up with this odd human to find their families? Especially when there are greater stakes at play.
Unfortunately, like all adventures, a certain dark being won't make it so easy for them.
How to audition:
I’ve given small descriptions of the character who have yet to be cast with their lines.
Send in audioclip of you, stating which character you are auditioning for, how I can reach you, and the lines (I encourage you to audition for more than one character!!)
Things you must have to audition-
Tora- 16 year old male. Strong, mature and self sufficient. He's still learning that the way he's been taught to see the world may have been biased a smidge. He's been under a lot of pressure in his life, being the 'saviour' and all, but his brother's dissapearance changed him from a slightly childish boy to the boy who grew up far too fast.
Tora should have a significantly low voice, but enough he still sounds like a teenager. He should sound mature, but on certain lines (like the one on the bottom), will need to sound a bit childish.
(After having thrown a rock at Roman) "Please go away."
(During an argument) "I think I know my brother better than you do, Ezra!"
(Bitterly) "look, because of your dad, everyone depends on me! I should be doing teenager things, not being the guardian of forest magic. I don't even know how to be a teenager anymore!"
Our second lead. After deciding that me simply must find his father (the former Guardian of the Forest), he finds a way to pass through the barrier and in the way of Tora, the latest guardian. Roman strikes a deal for his freedom with Tora and becomes His companion on his quest and the pair get quite close. Roman is equally as stubborn as Tora, but is more optimistic and idealistic.
Urgent! Please audition!
(Frusterated) You’re not listening to me! I did nothing wrong!
(Teasingly) well, you should hear the kinds of things humans say about your kind.
(Quietly)Tora, dont act like I’m invincible. The only person keeping me alive is you. Cause you’re the Guardian, and that means they have to obey your wishes. They would’ve killed me otherwise. So, stop acting so smug.
I also need someone to assist in helping with my animatics! You'll help create animatics (we'll be going with this style).

.Krei- 118 year old Fairy. Still has a lot to learn. She's laid back and is very chill. She rarely fusses about anything. She's an apprentice of Adora, wai Keri has a neutral voice that sounds a tiny bit feminine .
(Lazily)"Wake me when the sun sets. Then we can party."
(Remembering she has wings) oh yeah, I could probably just fly us there, couldn't I?
(Annoyed) "I'm a fairy. Obviously."
-13 year old male. He's a bit eccentric and neurotic. Think like a nervous and anxious Addams family member. He's super tired all the time. Callum is eager to learn new things and is one of Aponi's students.
(Monotone) "My dad is the death of people. Literally."
(Explaining, quietly) I hear them. The souls. Before they're dead in the ground. I hear their regrets, joys, last words...all of it.
(Frightened) "I...I hear...I hear so many voices...."
Takumi is a kitsune archer.He's the brother of the greatest warrior in his clan. Distrusting, focused but kind once he knows you. He has a lower voice, but is still a teenager. After his village was attacked and the Guardian never showed up, takumi tries to kill him, but ends up joining Tora and Roman on their little quest.
We don't take kindly to your kind here, boy.
You mean, you honestly don't know?
(Out of breath) I'm sorry..I..misjudged you..you're good..for a Guardian
Tora's love interest and good friend prior to the series begining. Shae was a human Erisidians captured for leverage against the humans. However, his family didn't seem to care and he was actually quite a nice human, so they let him free. Now he just wanders about. He's quite quiet, and he's very gentle. However, he can be cold without realizing it, and he has significant trouble socially. British accent preferred, not needed. Think ken from digimon or Snufkin from Moomin. Somewhere in that range.
(Surprised) Tora? Whatever are you doing here?
(Angrily) I want to help you. I'm always going to be there for you, but for me to do that and be that, you've got to let me in! Let me in, Tora!"
(Whispering sincerely) No matter what you are, you'll always have a home in my heart. "
23 year old male shapeshifting Mage. He's kind and sarcastic. He appears to never hurt anyone, until you anger him. Then you might wanna run and take cover. He's got a past you wouldn't wanna mess with. Ezra was Victor's closest friend, and Tora's only family left. His illness drives the first season and he has some sort of speaking role in each episode. Ezra has a significantly low voice for someone his age.
(Teasing) you're not falling in love, are you.
(Regretful, and pained, warning Tora) "I of all people want to find Victor! I just hope he's the man we remember him to be..."
(During a flashback, defensive) "once a traitor, always a traitor, right? Yeah, that's it. That's who you see me as. A monster."
24 year old male. The best way to describe flashback him is that he was the golden boy. A great hero beloved by all. But The him in the present may not be what he seems. Victor is Tora's older brother, and he seemed to make everyone around him better.
He can either have a low or high voice, but must sound like an adult.
(Reassuring Tora) "hey, hey, hey... it's okay, buddy. I'll be alright. I'll be home before you know it."
(Smiling) "well, aren't you just a bucket of sunshine?"
(Grumbling about his teammates)"let's wake a demon they said. It'll be fun they said."
Appears to be in her late 20s, is the same age as Aponi. She is a wolven healer with a love for every creature in her heart. She is kind, motherly, and protective of her loved ones. Adora is Aponi's best friend and only appears a few times in season 1.
(Warning) "'Poni, please be careful!"
(Comforting) "shh. It'll be okay. I promise."
(In shock) "Tora. Is that a human?"
Allorais a dragonborne futureseer. She's kind and gentle, but also snarky and witty. Allora is an old friend of a Tora's and would do almost anything for him.
She's a Minor character in season 1, supporting in season 2. ALora has a high voice. Imagine you're voicing corrin from fire emblem, or a Disney princess.
