Project Overview

Due date will most likely be extended by another few weeks. Only animators and music composers will be casted early.


Pay is given along with credit at the end of the video.


This story deals with suicidal thoughts, loss, mental illness, alcoholism, and bullying. Please consider that before auditioning.


The Girl with the guitar (TGWTG) will be an animated short on youtube between 5-7 minutes roughly. The story takes place with Godfrey Von Klaus, a suicidal alcoholic who feels guilt for all the bad things he has done. He starts going to therapy to find out that his counselor is her, the girl with the guitar (Dr. Neilsen), someone he used to bully in junior high. As he tries to move on and learn what forgiveness means, he battles his dead mother haunting him and suicide.


This will have some adult language. Character that curse will be:

Also, a lot of characters will have to sing because Delilah's song is a recurring thing. The only character that should have a great singing voice is Delilah; however va's for these characters will also have to sing:

    Hi everyone. Thanks so much for all of your patience. We were able to get our cast list out early, so here we go. *drum roll* First off for animators and storyboarders, we've reached out to those that we are interested in.   • Auditions have ended & More news

    Over 400 Auditions! I'm so grateful for you guys. Auditions have now ended!!! We are wanting to cast the music composer first and definitely in the next few days however the composer won't start on the music for a few weeks! But if you auditioned for a music composer, plan to hear from us soon. For animators, we're looking through. Expect to hear from us in the next week most likely. For va's, this gets tricky because there are so many wonderful auditions to go through. The first couple days in April would be the absolute latest we would announce cast although we are hoping to announce soon. Cast won't start recording lines though for AT LEAST a month! At least. We have to storyboard first. However, we want to announce the cast and have everyone get to know each other along with look at art and read the script. Most VA assignments though won't be until most likely May or after. If you do not get picked, there's no hard feelings. All auditions were great. We are writing down notes for every audition whether animation, music composing, or va. If you'd like feedback on what we really liked and what we thought you could improve on for your audition, you can feel free to message me on discord or on here. Also, for those of you that don't know, I really love to help people jumpstart their careers for those that are passionate in the arts .I'm working on making a discord and maybe even facebook group for people who really want to make this their career. It'll have my known resources and people I know that work for companies, studios, video game companies, entertainment studios, etc. Kind of a place to get advice and hopefully new gigs that'll help your career take off. After announcing all the roles, we'll have the discord up and please feel free to join whether you're in this film or not! I'd love to get to know everyone and help however best I can.   • Official Deadline Announced & another update

    Hi everyone. Thank you again for all the auditions. We've been so overwhelmed by the amount of people who have supported this project. First of all, me and my co director would like to announce that the CCC page and auditions are closing on 3/16, so a month away. I have currently been taking a little break to relax, but I will be back to go over auditions with my co director over those next couple of weeks. Since I am currently on break, we won't pick up any more animators or music composers until the day after I get back. We're hoping to have decisions made regarding voice actors by the first of April. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND you guys join the discord I sent out in past updates. This is helpful to me because when we are going through people, we may be doing a callback or ask questions over discord and this makes it easier to get in contact with you. The link is in past updates. Also you can talk with other auditionees and I also post updates there along with other casting calls. Around 29 years old; divorced and has a kid now; he’s an alcoholic and suicidal; ever since his mom died, he hears her singing to him all the time and can’t get it out of his head,  he's incredibly guilty and has no confidence in himself; just really sad and upset all the time; whoever is casted will have to sing a little bit

    (he’s being asked how he’s been doing and says this with sarcasm and frustration) “Seeing as I'm here due to a court order and that I woke up hungover this morning. I’ve already thought about killing myself twice today, and I think my daughter hates me…. Also, I’m being haunted by the sound of my dead mother singing to me, so you know, everything’s going pretty great if you can’t tell.”


    “I’m so sorry. I was a messed up kid. I was struggling with the passing of my mother, but that was no excuse for what I did.


    “Hey, darling. What’s wrong?”

The girl with the guitar, about 28-29 years old now, is a therapist and runs into Godfrey 15 years later, lost her dad shortly after the year she got bullied by Godfrey, very intelligent and still as kind as ever, super sweet and sensitive, will speak in a calming ‘therapist’ voice and will have to sing, has a quiet soothing singing voice
