Project Overview

MORE ROLES WILL BE OPENING IN THIS PROJECT AS I WORK ON IT! I JUST WANTED TO GET THE FIRST FEW CHARACTERS IN BEFORE OPENING IT UP!
INTRO

Hello! I'm with a youtube channel called The Lightspeed Project. We work on dubbing comic dubs and occasionally doing gaming videos. We don't really have any videos out yet, but I'm currently working on editing one and we're trying to be more active.

We currently are trying to branch into different fandoms, such as:
MHA, Undertale (And it's AU's), and Madness Combat. We also already have roles for all the Sonic characters.

We don't have a lot of voice actors who would fit the characters for most of the new fandoms we're branching into, so we're looking for them now!

I'll give examples of the voice I'm looking for in the audition roles, but I am always open to hearing other interpretations of what the character would sound like.

All videos, of course, will be posted on The Lightspeed Project!

ROLE INFORMATION:


First things first: THIS IS AN ENTIRELY UNPAID PROJECT. It's mainly a passion project by a group of teenagers, so we couldn't pay anyone if we wanted to. BUT. If this channel begins turning a significant profit (don't count on it), payment will be open to renegotiation.
These roles are all more permanent roles, but of course, you can step down from any role at any time. At which point, your role would be recast. That is pretty much the basics!

NOTE: One person can't have as many roles as they want! Everything will be fair and unbiased.


GUIDELINES:

  • Don't slate

  • Must be 13+

  • If you decide to use a voice effect for a character, please leave in the unedited takes.

  • Please include your discord in the audition!

  • You can audition for and get more than one character! If you want to audition for more than one character, please audition separately!

  • Canceled, sorry.

    I am truly sorry to anyone who auditioned, but this project specifically has been canceled. This is because the person who was managing the Madness Combat dubs decided to step down from their manager position due to personal stress and wanting to focus on their irl life, and we have not found someone else to manage the madness combat dubs after asking around. Again, I am so sorry.
    If you check my profile, there are currently other projects open you can audition for if you want! Most of those projects are being specifically managed by me, so they're very unlikely to be canceled.

  1. Hank is the main character of the franchise! Although being the main star of the series, he rarely talks. With this in mind, there might not be as many lines as other characters!
  2. Hank’s voice is not certain, and it’s mostly up to personal preference. Characters that I believe have a fitting voice would be: English Sukuna from JJK, Antipathy Hank (from the FNF Mod)

  1. Sanford is the deuteragonist (2nd most important character) of Madness Combat! He usually fights alongside Deimos, and he’s usually depicted wearing the black bandana and black circular shades.
  2. Sanford’s voice is somewhat hard to describe. He’s voiced by JohnnyUtah, which is the voice of Tankman. His voice is gruff, aggressive, and firm. Half the time he’s laidback and just enjoying life, but other times he’s very serious.

  1. Deimos is the tritagonist (3rd most important character) of Madness Combat! He’s usually seen fighting alongside Deimos. He’s usually depicted wearing a black visor, headphones, and a black coat.
  2. Deimos’ voice is quiet, strained, and (how my friends describe it,) aggressively flirtatious. He sounds like someone who’d sell weed in the back of a Walmart. Besides that, he usually isn’t taking his job as serious as he should be. He’s goofier and bubblier than the rest of the cast, which gives him that distinct personality.

  1. 2bdamned, otherwise known as Doc, is the tetartagonist (4th most important character) in Madness Combat! And, despite the nickname, he is not a doctor.
  2. Doc’s voice is deep and gravely. He’s the more serious one in the bunch. He’s also a tactical guy, preferring strategy instead of aimlessly shooting.

  1. Tricky is one of the major antagonists in Madness Combat! He’s usually depicted as a zombie clown, sometimes wearing a mask.
  2. His voice is rough, loud, but also goofy! He does have a glitch effect over his voice, keep that in mind. He’s unhinged, and that’s what makes him so funny but also powerful.

  1. The Auditor is the main antagonist in Madness Combat. His appearance is a black shadow with ominous red eyes.
  2. The Auditor doesn’t have any sort of voice in the series as of now, but I can imagine it being smooth and tight. It can also sound something you’d hear over a monitor, like a principal at school or a person on the loud speaker in a mall.

  2. His voice is throaty, strident, and confident. His voice is a lower and more serious Tricky.   He also canonically has a British accent, so think about that when auditioning.

That's about it. It's mostly a way to make comics and get your work out there in a different medium for you, and a way for us to get 'first come first serve', let's say.
