"The Dual" is a Short Story following Two Soldiers who we're former Partners-close to being Friends, now Enemies after one learns a Horrible Homicide Event that could happen, while the other is a Supporter of this Idea. This is an Entry to The Rift Saga, a Thrive Verse Mythos Saga in which covers several Books. The Dual is based on the Entry in the Anthology Novel, Thrive Verse's Tales of The RAISED Universe (currently in write).

The Casting Call

With that Introduction to the Story done, let me go over what this Casting Call is about. I don't voice in this Video whatsoever, being one of few Videos I've done where I don't play in. Everyone here needs a voice and let me go through them. There's 2 Major Character, 1 Supporting and 4 Extras. What I'm hoping for it to be Clear Auditions, with no Background Noise, but I'll make exception for Buzzes or Fuzees since I can edit that out and plus probably wouldn't even be heard by Music, Ambience, SFX in general. What I mean by Background Noise is especially any hearable noises. Like Talking, Clanking, Music and other Noticeable Sounds.

You'll find more Information with the Character Details. With that Said: I have to say that the 2 Major Characters and 1 Supporting Characters are planned to make a return and if you think you can't in anyway in the future, I'd appreciate if you didn't Audition. Yes, while I can ReCast, I'd rather not. I want there to be has much Consistently as Possible. Aside from that, I have to point this out on all of my Projects, there is a 50/50 Chance that this May even be Delayed or Cancelled. I plan for a Late 2025 Release, but there will always be the chance to be pushed back for Various Reasons. One such being I work on Tens of other Projects and easily get caught up in One, just to start doing another.

Additional Information

- Yes, Dual is the Wrong Duel. But it Wordplay. It's a Duel between a Dual.

- This Project is Unpaid. While I hope one day Thrive Verse Studios' projects will reach a time where I make Money and give Money to my Crew (Voice, Writer, Etc.), however until when that day comes, Free Services are all that'll be Done.

- Not all 4 Extras will be Chosen. I may, just MAY give the Role to a Friend or Previous VA. So...I guess there's no guarantee that You'll be Chosen.

- Length of Video Estimation: 5-7 Minutes

- With that Said: Once chosen and if your Interested, I'll reveal whatever Lore to you to a certain Point to avoid Spoilers.

- Deadline Date is Not Final. Simply placed far in the Future to Keep this Up until it's ready to go through. Project may come Long Before Oct. 1

  • Roles Chosen Soon & New Thrive Verse Discord Server?

    With this CCC actually becoming a good turn out and comfortable with those who auditioned, I may already pause this Call Out and choose Roles. While I still have a few Machinimas I want to do before I work on Production for "The Dual"; I may be working on this sooner than I thought. With that said, if Chosen, the Project DM will appear to you and I will send an Invite to the new Thrive Verse Studios Server.

    However, joining is Not Required, but merely there for Fan, Crew and Cast to stay in contact for Future Projects and any Information that I'll prefer to said once to everyone instead of the Same DM to every single person. The Server is still under work, so we'll see.

  • Forgot One Thing: Discord

    So, releasing it early, I forgot to go over it again to make sure all things are accounted for. Well, so far, there's 1 Thing I forgot, for those who audition to also, leave your Discord Username. I prefer Discord, but if you're unable too and prefer another, like Email or Twitter, that's fine. I'll make sure to Update this Infor on the Project Details.

  • Nothing Biggy, but Public too Early...

    So, I miss understood what "Unlisted" meant on CCC. It is NOT the same thing as YouTube. Instead, People can still see this, it just won't come up up Goggle Searches or something. So, with that said, this Project is OPEN now, since people have already started auditioning. Just letting you know, this was supposed to become Public in April or May, so Chosen Ones are gonna have to wait extra longer until there's any sort of Confirmation of any kind.

Isaac Clarn is of the Specialist Occupation, someone who focus on various Duties related to Tech, Vehicles, Engineering and rarely as go-to Historians. In this Case, Isaac Clarn is primarily a "Techy". Knowing things like Hacking, Coding, Web Design (far stretch) & Understanding the Basics of how Power/Gigabytes work. However, as a Soldier of The Warrior Corporation, he too know various Military Skillsets, that being Small Arms, Automatic Weaponry & Close-quarters Combat. 


For his Voice, a General if not Boring Middle Aged Man will do just fine. I could link Examples, but I feel for such a Basic Voice, it's Unnecessary. Just do what you want/can do in any format you want. (ABC, AAA, BBB, CCC, Etc.)

Commander Robert Norman, former Boss/Friend of Isaac Clarn. He wants whatever it is Isaac has, and knowing that Isaac also  has Informative that could prove Destructive to him and his New Religion; he claims that Isaac is a Traitor and needs to be stopped. While he portrays a Serious outside personality, deep down he's a Psychotic Harmful Soldier who takes great Pleasure from killing anyone for various reasons.


For his Voice, I imagined a General Leader voice, but without a Doubt a tone of Cliché Evil-like Voice is behind it.

I need 4 Voices for Warrior Corp. Soldiers. They can range from Male to Females, Middle Age to Young Age, all Serious and not Character Focused, sense they're nameless Troopers. Explore the Voices anyway you want, maybe bring a different Voice for each line. Their lines are in variety of Lengths. Some saying 2 things before their demise, while some (like a Heavy Trooper) has about 6 or so. All Dialogue below is not the Final Version and are likely to Change.

Grant Reynolds only appears over Communications, leading him not to Visual Appear in this Video, or at least at this moment in the Script Layout. He's the Leader of what is essentially The Guardians of the Galaxy in this Universe. He's Serious, Rarely Fun and fairly Old, leading him to have a Gruffy Voice. He's supposed to be Here to pick up Isaac Clarn, but due to another Mission, he'll be Late to save Isaac. He and his Group are trying to prevent the same thing Isaac Clarn is trying to stop. A Horrible Ending-All-Life Weapon.


Gruffy Voice, that's about it. Well, of course Serious and Deep, like a Normal Cliché General would be.
