Hey guys, girls, creatures of the night and everything in between.I finally finished the Casting call for my SIFF spring entry The Dollhouse!Β
π‘ππ π₯: Lily has been in a forced coma for several years. Her mother is obsessed with beauty and dolls. So to keep her from aging, her mother made a deal with an entity to keep her asleep inside their home. With her spirit trapped and unable to call for help, will anybody ever hear her? Or will she be remembered as just another doll in her motherβs collection?

She hardly tells me anything, except that I have a pretty face.
(V.O.) This is not a fairytale where the princess awaits the prince to wake her up from an eternal sleep. No, this is a reality. A reality about a lonely girl whose mind is trapped inside her own body. She can feel, hear and smell everything as if she was awake. The only thing she cannot do... Is to scream.

(V.O.) My world has always been a little extra crowded. Sleep is the only thing that can keep them out. It runs in the family, this burden, this curse... And I would do anything to get rid of it.

That's because they're not as beautiful as you sweetie. They can wear whatever they want because it doesn't matter! Now, will you dress beautifully for your mommy?
(freaking out) How many times do I have to say it!? You don't need to eat! You're a- A doll! And dolls... Never talk back, dolls do not see the plastic. So you shouldn't either!!

She's a human being, Nora! If you think you can keep her in your world like a doll, without a price... You got it all wrong! Everything has a price! And yours will come more sooner than later. Mark my words, nature will have balance. Nature will have blood.
Because I can smell the fear coming from that house. And it's not only my daughter's. And there's something else too... A darkness, a force of some kind.
