The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K.: Reawakened Fandub !!!
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for a Fandub of a decently known anime called "The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K."
I'm casting for a number of talented voices to be used throughout the project. Everyone cast for main roles may be asked to provide lines for additional, smaller roles. If you're not cast for a main role, and your voice matches the tone of the production, I may ask you to provide lines for supporting roles in the production! Which also means I will be asking for further auditions from you! Everyone that auditions, whether casted in this production or not, will be considered and kept in mind for future productions!
All roles for this project will be in the English language. Voice actors must preferably be comfortable using the language.
ANIME OVERVIEW
"The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K." is an anime about a high school boy, Saiki Kusuo, who is a powerful psychic who hates attracting attention. Even so, he finds himself surrounded by colorful characters who always finds a way to remove him from his everyday life and persuade his attention onto them!
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for this set of auditions is August 27th, 2022. Not each role is published quite yet! But don't worry, auditions will continue until every character is cast! Voice Actors will be notified by August 29th and scripts will be sent to each actor after everyone has been cast!
WHAT TO EXPECT
This production is mostly for new experiences, getting closer to the voice acting community, and having fun! Although professionalism is big here, I want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves as we create this Fandub!
We will be communicating primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with this application, you can still audition, however, it is strongly, strongly recommended to have participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow castmates.
WHAT I ASK OF YOU
First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums, but none of it will mean anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their creations.
Please submit clean recordings (no air conditioners in the background, no fans).
Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. The minimum takes is 2 so that I can get a clear understanding of your vocal range, and please feel free to use any format! ABC ABC ABC, AABBCC, and any other way, as long as you're comfortable!
It is completely okay, and even preferred, to audition for multiple characters! You may even be requested to do so. If you are casted, you may also be asked to do additional lines for a few 'extra' characters that aren't up for auditions!
It is preferred that your schedule is easy to work with. You may be asked to record your lines in a Discord Vc either 1v1 or with other cast members.

Over the course of time, with having to hide his psychic powers from others and his abilities slowly ruining experiences for him, he started to close himself up. Thus, in the present, Kusuo is reticent. He hates being the center of attention, is quite reserved, and rarely uses his voice, instead preferring to project his words via telepathy into the minds of others. To avoid interactions, he tries to make others disinterested in him or avoid others as much as possible. For example, Kusuo hiding from the other characters in a bathroom.
Kusuo is very adept at determining what people want and executing plans based on them. Most of the time, Kusuo is selfless, willing to sacrifice his own happiness for others' sake. He gave up his coffee jelly to get a baseball back to a child. His voice is often Monotone, Calm/Collected, and Smooth-talking.
I'm willing to cast this role to any gender!
(Directed Towards: The audience, after releasing himself of his ESP *psychic powers*)
"Now then, here's a question for you. This means I've changed from psychic to ghost so in Pokémon, how effective is ghost against ghost? The answer is super effective."
"H-how is everyone so composed? Haven't they considered that there might be a killer next to them without them knowing it?"
(Directed Towards: Kokomi, the prettiest girl at school who is used to getting whatever she wants. Except from Saiki.)
"What a pain. It's frightening that she was actually going to get it. But it's no use. Puppy dog eyes won't work on an ESPer like me. You'd understand my point if you had permanent x-ray vision, too."
(Directed Towards: Café Mami, a Café that provides Saiki's most favorite Coffee Jelly)
"Even when you were so depressed and emotionally unstable, the taste of your coffee jelly stayed the same. This is undeniably the work of a pro and that's why the customers will return on their own even without using ESP."
Riki Nendou is a dutiful and dull-witted boy. He likes helping people and prioritizing the weak! Riki's dominant traits are his apparent lack of intelligence and the scar on his left eye. Because of his looks, he is sometimes interpreted as a bad guy. Riki is the only person Saiki Kusuo cannot read the thoughts of. Because of that, he is usually an idiot with bad manners and typically needs things to be explained to him countless times, but he still cannot understand it. His voice is often Deep, Goofy, Unintelligent/Naive-sounding, and Shouting.
I'm willing to cast any gender for this role! Although overly feminine voices will not be casted for this role, funny "out of the box" voices are a plus!

"Let's go get some ramen, partner!"
"Hurry, run away Saiki! Don't worry about me... run... It's my turn to save you so hurry!"
(Directed To: Kusuo, after being seen with Shun)
"Partner! You've gotta stop befriending these kind of guys! I'm saying this as your best friend, trust me!"
(Directed To: The group of friends, after everyone tries to get Saiki to tell them his big secret)
"But if nothing will change no matter what he says, he doesn't have to say anything. It doesn't matter if he has one or two things to hide. He's still my pal. Would we be his friends if we forced him to tell us? I'll wait until he's ready to tell us. Isn't that what friends are for?"
Kaidou Shun is an outcast within his class, and likes to show off, but he often becomes cowardly in dangerous situations. When push comes to shove however, he will endanger himself for those he cares about. He acts confident and conceited at school, lying about being incredibly powerful and talking about how an evil organization called 'The Dark Reunion' is after him and controlling the Earth in hopes that other students will think he's cool. His need for attention is well known to put him in danger on occasion. His voice is often Loud/Boasting, Cowardly, and Squeaky/High pitched.
I am willing to cast any gender for this role! However, I want his voice to appear a bit more on the feminine side.

"I misjudged you, Nendou! Don't you dare lay your hands to those frail little girls!"
(Directed To: Aren)
"I don't care about your past. What matters is who you are now and who you'll be in the future!"
(Directed To: Saiki, getting ready to throw a ball at Saiki in P.E)
"So it's finally my turn to throw the ball, huh? Do you know what this means, Saiki? It means this is it for you! Take this! Meteor Spark Genocide Ball! Ooph!"
(Explaining why he's unable to swim)
"I-I've been put under a curse by Poseidon, the God of the Sea! So whenever sea water touches my body, it burns like acid. Why must the gods be so fickle?!"
She is a student in Saiki Kusuo's class and she is considered very attractive by both women and men, who often stop and stare upon seeing her. When Kokomi was first introduced, she proclaims herself as beautiful and nice, the epitome of a perfect, pretty girl. Even though her appearance is attractive, her politeness is a charade. In truth, she is very conceited and could even be considered a gold digger. She is a smooth talker, making her able to manipulate and persuade nearly everyone with her beauty and easily gets away from others with just simple excuses. As the most popular girl in school, she is highly sociable. Her voice is often High-Pitched/Feminine, Smooth-talking, Calm but also Erratic, Flirty/Innocent, Loud.
I will be casting any gender for this role! I really want to see you have fun with this, and let your creativity shine! She can either be insanely high-pitched or comically low-pitched!
(Thinking to herself)
"My name is Kokomi Teruhashi! If I do say so myself, I think I'm the perfect example of a beautiful girl! "
(Seeing Saiki outside of school, she expects him to fawn over her as every boy does)
"Saiki! Oh, I thought it was you, Saiki!" *Thinking to herself* "Okay! Now you'll definitely cherish this memory for the rest of your life!" *Saiki bows and walks past her* "What?! That's it?! You're supposed to panic there!"
(Thinking/Talking to herself, regarding Saiki)
"At first I didn't like him very much because he wouldn't react the way I wanted him to... and I started to try to get back at him... but by the time I realized it, I was thinking about him all the time... "
(Thinking to herself, she was showing off her ability to remember every fact about every boy)
"Ask me anything you want. I've spent the past few days learning everything about you all! A perfect beautiful girl can't run away and hide!"
"O-oh no. My vision's getting blurry. Come on, focus! I'm feeling kind of woozy. I need to get some air..."
