The Disappearance Project is a scripted minecraft roleplay series focused on a group trying to rebuild a town that has lost all hope after a tragic accident.
Caravista used to be a famous cirty, other then it's friendly atmosphere and amazing views it often was admired for its gorgeous train station. The station was popular throughout the country due to it's vast size and unique design. It was often very busy and it caused the city to grow to it's vast size after being built. The loved their station it was the centerpiece of everything for them.
Until the station was closed, abandoned, and forgotten, the once glorious station was reduced to cobwebs and closure signs. All because of one train's sudden disappearance. No one could quite explain it, it left at the correct departure time but never made it back. And worse of all it went missing with everyone on board. Every single person on the train was suddenly gone with no way to explain it. Everyone searched for answers but were met with brick walls.
After the conclusion that there was nothing they could do, the town dwindled in size, people leaving because they believe it is bad luck. any were afraid of what could happen, some saying the town was a bad omen. Many stayed, it was their home after all. Some believed they had to, that the train would return. Some stayed because they mourned their families or had nowhere else to turn.
Then someone arrives to town after many years of it being docile and low spirited to inherit a café left to them. Suddenly the town takes a different courses as a small group forms focused on turning the town into something lively again. They explore the old tunnels beneath the station, they try and form festivals, reopen the café, and try to find the answers to questions everyone has been asking for years.

As I am flushing the story out more I have been writing more roles! Mayor Thorne and Maria Richards are both minor characters that will be important later on! I will have lots of characters like that! I will be opening more roles as we go! But for now the characters I need desperately are Ricky and maybe Mayor Thorne for some fun stuff I have been planning!

[Friendly/Kind] Oh hey you must be the new cafe owner! Welcome to town, it is such a lovely place! It's a shame how empty it has become... Just a friendly tip, I would stay away from that train station, gives me the heebie jeebies!!!
[Sad/Emotional] Sometimes I think people disappear twice ya know? Once when they leave... and again when everyone stops talking about them.
[Angry/Hurt] Are you kidding me? Everything was going just fine in this town until you idiots started poking around looking for answers! They're dead don't you understand! (pause and sigh) You are giving hope to people that accepted they'll never return a long time ago... don't you see how cruel that is?

[Angry/Teen] I know they aren't coming back! Don't you think I get that! You have reminded me of that ever since they left. Every. Single. Day. Don't you think I get tired of you brushing it away! Is it so wrong to miss my sister!
[Curious/Shocked] Wow that's a super cool light you have there mister! But why are you at the train station? My dad says scary things stay there at night.

Ricky is an older gentlemen that despite his age still tries his best to maintain the abandoned station through out the years.
He is a kind old man that rarely gets mad and talks gently to others.
Despite everything he tries to inspire hope in others and continues to give them reason to continue whatever path they set for themselves.
[Kind/Gentle] You must be new here, not many visit Ol Ricky. (laughs) I'm the ghost of this old station they keep talking about
[Sad/Heartbroken] Family? Yeah I have one. Tonya was beautiful, she's been gone about 12 years now. A crash took her from me... But we had a beautiful daughter Margaret... she uhm... she disappeared with the rest of them.
[Kind/Inspiring] Hey what's with that look? So what, you followed a goose chase and ended back here. You've been following this for how long now? And this is what finally breaks your spirit? This isn't the time to give up child. This is the time to figure out where you went wrong. So what you ran into a brick, break it down and make yourself a door. Have some belief in yourself and those friends of yours okay? You've made it this far haven't you? That's right kid, now pick that chin up and borrow some of my strength and if that isn't enough then borrow some from tomorrow. Because I know you can do this.

Helena is what many would describe as rude, and losing her mom in the disappearance she stopped caring about everything as much.
Many just see her trying to ruin projects to rebuild the town, rarely do people see the pain beneath. She has given up hope anyone will return.
She disrupts the main groups plans a lot, sabotaging fundraisers and throwing a wrench in their efforts.
She is a complex character often coming off as rude and full of herself when deep down she is hurting and feels all the group is doing is unburying pain.
[Rude] Oh so what? You think you're all that just because auntie left you a cafe? Please you don't belong here.
[Condescending] Ol Ricky? That dude is crazy six times to Tuesday! He is hanging onto the desperate hope he isn't alone in this world! News flash! He is! He is just some old man that can't accept the truth.
[Broken/Hurt] I KNOW THAT OKAY! I know what they're doing is for the "town"! But have you ever though to consider that what they're doing is causing more pain then anything else!! People just... People just want to move on. Is that too much to ask?

Mayor Thorne also known as Matthias Thorne is the current Mayor of Caravista and has been for the past 25 years.
He lost his wife and sister in the Disappearance and mourned them while still holding the town together he is a kind man that holds no secrets.
Welcome to Caravista! The most wonderful place on the map! We have plenty to see! Just stay out of the abandoned section and don't explore the tunnels.
I like what you kids are doing, helping this place, but you better stop looking so deep or you might find things that no one needs to know.
