The Castle Dolores - Book Advertisement
Project Overview
Hello! Welcome to The Castle Dolores Casting Call!
Summary and Project InformationThis project is focused on the creation of one or multiple advertisements for a book I've written, named "The Castle Dolores".
It is a mild psychological horror short story, with some suggestive themes and commentary on the economic state of the world, with Louis, a young male, desperate for freedom in the modern era, who encounters a ghost while trespassing into a luxury theater.
Anyone chosen for the roles will be assured of appearing in at least one short commercial for the book, which will be posted on multiple social media pages with credit, and will have the opportunity to appear in additional advertisements and projects in the future.
Rules and Casting InformationWhile The Castle Dolores is not a NSFW book or project by any means, the project is not accepting any applications from voice actors who are under the age of 18.
Applications will be rejected if there is too much background noise in the recording, and XLR rather than USB mics are heavily preferred for auditions.
To be accepted for this role, you must have Discord! It will be the main method of communication for the purposes of voice direction and communication. Please provide your Discord username in your application.
This role requires a time commitment of a few days to a few weeks, in the pursuit of getting multiple takes for the endorsements. If you do not have the time to sit and take multiple takes for this project, then this may not be the project for you.
Please remember that this call is looking for voices to fill in the particular needs of the project, and that actor gender is not a consideration being made here. Feel free to apply for whatever you like, regardless of gender, as long as your voice fits the criteria of what is being looked for. <3

Our narrator is a down-to-earth individual with a warm, observant tone.
Vocal Range: Go wild. As long as you are calm, collected and have good word pronunciation, I want to hear multiple interpretations of our narrator.

A single pair of footsteps bounces off of the walls, rhythmic and consistent. Poised. Cool, collected.
He continues his trek to nowhere, mind wandering away from admiring the scenery, and instead, he puts his focus on breathing, and holding true to the image of the lone wolf he so frequently portrays to the world, an entirely new sort of thrill coming from getting to etch the beloved character into his skin, instead of holding it inside of his brain, an internal inside joke.
Another giggle, and suddenly, the thin material of Louis’s personal bubble pops, ballerina-like movements sending her swirling to put her head on his shoulder, and her arms around his middle, entirely too personal.
A male in his early twenties, with a tendency to portray himself as more suave and charismatic than he actually is.
Voice Range: Young Adult Male, Early Twenties.
Feel free to bring your own take to the character, as far as accents. He has a rather "put-together" way of speaking, almost as if he's pretending to be a very eloquent character rather than speaking more naturally, which I think would lend itself well to a British accent.

[Mildly Indignant] "I'm doing all sorts of things. It may not be anything special to you, but it's a wonderful thing to trek a trail you never have before."
[Neutral] "I remain interested in what else there is to see, even if it is more of the same."
[Genuine Confusion, With a Mild Loss of Composure] "I'm... not interested. Why aren't I interested...?"
A young female poltergeist with a very mischievous and fun personality. She is tender yet mysterious, edging just barely into the unnerving with the way she speaks, lilting and persuasive.
Voice Range: Young Adult Female, Early to Late Twenties.
Should have a giggly, almost fae-like quality to her voice, while still edging just slightly into the uncanny valley. She should be somewhat ethereal and creepy, perhaps, but not threatening. A delicate balance to maintain, which I'm excited to see how voice actors try to fit into.
