The case study of Vanitas

Project Overview

This project is for a little act for an anime
convention which will happen in April. The convention is named Jpopcon.

The
final sound file should be on max 2,5 minutes. 

 

The
act is from a plot in a manga series called 'The case study of Vanitas' which
is a manga only. The plot is taking part in the manga around chapter 8 (if it
is not 7). 

In
the plot Charlatan has appeared and is making a huge rocus and people are
turning into curse-bearers. 

 

Charlatan
is the bad guy in this concept and is a shadow kinda monster. (Charlatan
appears as human too). Therefore this person is a very scary one. 

Noé
is a Vampire and he is in our act, confused and scared and also out of control sometime.

Vanitas
is one who simply doesn't really give a damn by anything, but he can get
serioud when he needs to. 

The
time frame is that we expect to sound file to be complete around December, but
the act is first in the end of April.

There’s
only around 3 lines in each character for the auditions, but the main script
does Noé and Charlatan have more lines than Vanitas.

 

Our
act is more or less that one of the two people we are in the act change into
Vanitas (in this one I who write this)

 

For

About Charlatan

Charlatan is a shadow figure, who creates something called curse-bearer. A curse-bearer is a person who have gotten stollen their real name.
Since Charlatan don't have either gender or age, are my friend and I looking for something with the most scariest carnival voice which could be fitted as a part of a horror movie. (if it can happen) 


About the world
The world contains also humans, but vampires lives with hidden identity of being a vampire. The story mainly takes place in Paris.

About Noé

Noé is a vampire from the countryside, which means that he is new in Paris. Noé gets amazed of all the new things he sees. You can in short call him carious and relaxed. 
In this part he is at first confused, angry and ready to fight against Charlatan. Later he will be confused, out of control and scared.

  • Line 2No.. no, not Louis, he didn't do anything wrong.

About Vanitas

He is a person who you probably can't take seriously. Although for sometimes in certain situations he can be smart and are taking things seriously (in the story he have been serious 3 times only for now) 
In this act he acts like he is taking nothing seriously and shows off. But he also gets angry (What?! Boring?! is where he is angry) 
Vanitas is a Human who is cursed by the Vampire of the blue moon (Which is bad)

  • Line 1aha. So you’re Charlatan, hm?

  • Line 2Vanitas! The one who inherited the book and name from the vampire of the blue moon! Aren’t I amazing?

  • Line 3What?! boring!?
