Project Description: Almost Gone is a dramatic animated series that dives deep into themes of grief, survival, and redemption. It tells the story of Alex, a young man haunted by memories of his friends who have tragically passed, and Zara, a stranger whose chance intervention pulls him back from the brink. Their meeting is one of desperation and courage, woven with an almost supernatural sense of fate. As they navigate their own pain and discover a tentative connection, they find themselves entangled in a journey where healing and understanding unfold in unexpected ways.
This project combines emotionally intense dialogue with moments of silence, action, and visual storytelling. Almost Gone is envisioned as a long-term project, with multiple videos and mini-projects centering on each character, building their depth and exploring new facets of their relationships over time. Each video and mini-project will be fully scripted, ensuring a clear narrative direction while allowing room for creative interpretation by voice actors.

Audition Requirements:
Voice Range & Tone:
Characters span a range of voice types, from soft-spoken and introspective to confident and lively.
Ability to convey complex emotions—grief, desperation, hope, and resilience—with subtlety and authenticity.
Voice acting should reflect the characters' grounded, relatable nature, highlighting both everyday vulnerability and moments of profound intensity.
Character Line Reads:
Each character audition will include three lines with varied tones: a reflective line, an intense/emotional line, and a hopeful or humorous line.
Voice actors should aim to portray the nuances of each emotion and capture the underlying tension or warmth unique to each line.
Emotional Range:
As this story deals with heavy themes, actors must be comfortable expressing vulnerability, sorrow, and even desperation.
Ability to naturally progress from dark emotions to moments of hope and connection is essential.
Pacing & Delivery:
Audition lines should have natural pacing, with space to breathe between intense moments. Some scenes may require slower pacing to capture a contemplative, sometimes haunting tone.
Ensure each line feels authentic to the moment, whether it’s Zara’s urgency or Alex’s quiet grief.
Recording Quality:
Clear, high-quality audio is essential, with no background noise.
Consistent sound levels throughout are required, as this project will rely heavily on nuanced dialogue and emotional subtlety.
This long-term project is ideal for voice actors looking to invest in a character across multiple scenes and storylines, bringing depth to each interaction and emotional shift.
