Take A Shot is a comedic object show that doesn’t take itself too seriously — and that’s exactly why it works. It’s loud, chaotic, and full of strange characters who yell, scheme, and somehow survive bizarre challenges.
This series is a mix of character-driven dialogue, ridiculous situations, and unpredictable outcomes. Think object shows like Inanimate Insanity or The Daily Object Show, but with even more energy and weirdness. The tone is fast, casual, and packed with over-the-top moments — the kind of show where someone might scream about bugs in their skin or argue over a LEGO set in the middle of a challenge.
This is a passion project made by fans of the genre, and we're building a team that enjoys humor, creativity, and community. The first episode is in the works and is planned for release on September 1st.
What We're Looking ForVoice ActorsWe’re casting for a variety of characters, each with their own chaotic personality. Here are a few examples:
CD (the host) – Tired, sarcastic, constantly trying to keep things together (and failing).
Coffee – Always panicking. Genuinely believes bugs are crawling under his skin.
Toothpastey – Energetic and clueless. Just wants to throw a party.
Scissors – Short-tempered. Always yelling.
Dresser – Completely monotone. Just says “Yay.” no matter what happens.
There are more characters available, so feel free to audition for multiple roles.
Asset DesignersWe’re looking for people who can help create:
Object character art (mouths, limbs, expressions, alt poses)
Simple backgrounds and props
If you’ve worked on object shows before or have a clean, cartoonish art style, we’d love to see your work.
Writers / StoryboardersLooking for creative writers who enjoy:
Comedy writing and character-based scenes
Coming up with weird or unconventional challenge ideas
Collaborating on dialogue and episode pacing
Experience with scripting or storyboarding is a bonus, but not required.
AnimatorsWe’re open to any animation style or software — as long as it fits the show’s expressive, cartoony tone.

Episode 1 Release Goal: September 1st
Compensation: Unpaid (for now), but all contributors will be fully credited

We’re doing this because we love creating. We have a passion for storytelling, character writing, and animation, and we’re building a team that shares that energy. While the project is unpaid, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills, try out new styles or voices, and build a portfolio.
