Show Synopsis:
Syntax tells the story of Silas Caldwell, a linguist, who finds himself employed by VINCULA, a biotech company with an unearthly set of artifacts in their possession. Not least among them is the Breach, a large, spiraling tunnel which leads back to its singular entrance... or so it seems. Alongside a team of scientists and explorers, Silas plunges into the world beyond the Breach, and is touched by terrors beyond his wildest dreams.
Twin Strangers Productions LLC is a production company based in Florida, USA. Current projects include Syntax (2022), Cryptid Counselor (2022) and The Moon Crown (2023).
Disclaimer/Content Warning: This is a horror sci-fi project and will contain subject matter that some may find disturbing. Our transcripts for our Season 1-3 episodes can be found at our website to familiarize yourself with the content, but there will be subject material including: explicit language, loud noises, portrayals of violence, and uncanny valley subject material. We will always avoid inappropriate horror tropes such as (but not limited to) queer-coded ‘evil’, sexual trauma, mental illness stigmatization, racially motivated stigmatization, or politically charged material, and we’d like our actors to do the same.

Please submit lines in an ABCABC format. Changing tone/adlibbing on the second take is encouraged!
Please submit using the equipment you will be recording with – USB mic as a minimum is required.
Audio should be submitted raw, with no FX or audio cleaning.

Major character. A masculine presenting voice in his early 50’s, any ethnicity or accent. Proper and strict with an undertone of sharpness and condescension. Effortless and practiced liar, clever and quick. We’re looking for someone who can easily switch between sounding supportive and sadistic.
Note: This character will be a transphobic antagonist. We are extremely LGBTQIA+ friendly at TSP and this transphobic attitude will only be shown in an explicitly villainous manner.

Major Character, Diplomatic, conversational, and forceful when needed. European accent preferred (any). This role can be played by any gender, and preferably sound mid to late 30’s. Nico is deployed to situations where the truth must be hidden and discovered in turn, and can be friendly or threatening to suit the situation and their needs.

Look, you smug jackass, you already plied me with questions, now it's my turn, and I'm going to need more than that. This information is dangerous. Are you trying to get the word out? Some heroic publicity stunt?
Minor Character. Lief is the muscle for Nico’s group. Lief doesn’t want to bother with diplomatic solutions, and instead thinks every problem is a nail since they are a born hammer. They get impatient easily when things aren’t simple and direct, but Nico appreciates their input regardless. Any age/ethnicity, European accent (any) preferred.

Minor Character. Finley is the newest, softer, and more compassionate member of Nico’s troupe. Finley hopes everything can work out in a way that works for everyone. Optimistic, sometimes overly so, and Nico must temper Finley’s attitude with the dire situation at hand. Any age/ethnicity, British Isles accent preferred.
