ABOUT THIS SHOW
SUPER OBSCURE ANIME ULTIMATE SLICE DON'T SWEAR FRIEND POWER, or simply "Slice of Life Quest", is co-created by BU & OAA. This series is a meta take on slice of life animes (think Chibi Maruko-chan, Doraemon, Sazae-san), mixed with a parody of generic shonen & action animes.This series is mostly original but does contain some fanmade characters, so this will be an unpaid series.
THE PLOT
A young college student named Aimaiko flips her life upside down after wishing herself that she could go on a quest/journey. A shooting star didn't respond, rather Maruko from the hit anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" did, offering her a quest to become the #1 slice of life anime. However, that's not without saying that it'll be easy, as there are many people on this journey that she will face who hate slice of life anime and will do anything to stop her. Together with some companions, she makes it through thin and thick situations.
INSPIRATIONS AND WHY THIS SERIES EXISTS
A huge inspiration for this series is Perfect Hair Forever, which aired on Cartoon Network's late night programming block, [adult swim]. It was very witty with it's humor while parodying anime in a humorous way, and I'm inspired to do the same, but instead of generic popular animes that people know and love, I decided to cover animes that may be obscure in Western areas. This series also exists thanks to the wonderful people at BIZZARE ULTIMO (Bizarre purposefully misspelled) & Obscure Animation Anonymous.
DEADLINE
The deadline isn't strict as more characters may be added in the future, but I'm trying to go for 10/7/2023 (7/10/2023 in DMY). This may change if a lack of auditions happen.
Thanks for all the auditions! They're now closed as there's now a sufficient amount of auditions to go off of. As for the BG artist I have that managed. I will discuss with my team on casting the auditions. Thanks to all who submitted an audition!
Aimaiko is the main character for this quest. While she has a bright and cheerful voice like any typical slice of life anime protagonist, she isn't that talkative. She's odd and silly.
Her personality is based off of characters like Mouse from 12 oz. Mouse, Gerald Bald Z from Perfect Hair Forever, & ENA by Joel G.

Mint is a transfem girl. While being nerdy about certain topics, she's overall not that smart. She's shy and usually on her free time plays board games. Mint has a crush on Aimaiko.
She has a cute, bright voice.

Lulu is very cheerful, albeit not the brightest person. Her real name is Lucretia, but no one ever calls her that. Rarely, she does have bursts of intelligence and can be helpful.
Her voice is high-pitched and bubbly (not squeaky). She'd sound something like Deedee from Dexter's Laboratory, but older.

Ulti is small and Kind. She's childlike and very innocent. She tries to reason with everyone, even the most evil people.
