Project Overview
Yuki Amari, born and raised in a small town, didn't have the best childhood. After she and her mother escaped from their abusive dad/husband, they moved to a new city to start fresh. That also means a new school.
But fresh starts are never that simple. In a school where everyone is trying to fit in, Yuki struggles with the weight of her unresolved trauma and the constant fear that her past will catch up to her. She finds herself navigating the complexities of teenage friendships, first loves, and the subtle, often overlooked ways that mental health challenges can shape everyday life. Her journey is punctuated by moments of isolation, but also by unexpected kindness—a classmate who notices when she’s withdrawn, a teacher who offers quiet encouragement, and the tentative bonds she forms with other students who are fighting their own battles.
Through evocative animation and honest storytelling, the series explores not only Yuki’s internal struggles but also the broader themes of healing, resilience, and self-acceptance.
