Studio Labyrun: The studio dedicated to the "Guidance Card Labyrinth Runners" franchiseINTRODUCTION
Greetings and welcome! This casting is for the first few productions "Guidance Card Labyrinth Runners". This studio is focused on the design of Guidance Card Labyrinth Runners or Labyrun for short.
We will be casting for a slew of voices for the Labyrun TCG ads and promotional material. Folks cast for main roles will be asked to provide lines for additional, smaller roles not featured on CCC. If you're not cast for a main role, and your voice matches the tone of the promos, we may ask you to provide lines for supporting roles in the production.
All roles are in the English language.
Main roles (plus any additional lines for minor roles or retakes) will receive an agreed amount depending on this project's success. All payments will be made through PayPal only.
We also showcase all of our voice actors on our official website. The showcase includes voice actors' photos, biographies, contact information, and links to a demo reel.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONSThe deadline for auditions is February 25th, 2025. This deadline is subject to change since the scripts and products are currently in development. We'll notify voice actors who have been cast in roles by February 29th and send scripts to voice actors by March 1st. We need to receive all lines back from voice actors by March 13th. This deadline is also subject to change depending on the progress of product development. If you are unable to record between March 1st - March 13th (or whenever the deadline will be changed), please do not audition.
WHAT TO EXPECTExpect to be warmly greeted by the creator of Labyrun, Cyril Gray. At this point, you'll be part of our Labyrun family, where you'll get to interact with other voice actors from around the globe, as well as some supporters and co-developers of the card game, all of whom offer a wealth of experience and knowledge.
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with this application, you can still audition, however, we strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors. We've used Discord with other projects and it has been of immense value.
I am currently planning to include more roles for voice acting, card design, and so on. For these reasons, I will be extending the deadline to 3/22/2025. Thank you for your time.
I just came up with the idea of having creatures that appear as cards in the game to have voices. Below is the list of creatures that will have voices in the sizzle reel, gameplay tutorial, and demo.

Wade Aukai is a teenage boy of Hawaiian descent. He is sociable towards others, even accepting defeat if danger is not involved. He is skilled at surfing.
He plays a Water Dragon-themed deck and his key card is "Hydroshock Spine Dragon", nicknamed "Shock" by Wade.

Chester is a close friend of Joanne McArthur's and enjoys Labyrinth Runners. He is generous and gifted with an excellent memory and a quick wit. There have been occasions when his swift wit has gotten him into trouble with employees and patrons of his favorite card shop, "The Cards of the Round Table", but he always means well and would never deliberately hurt another person's feelings.
As his alter ego, "The Lucky", he is very competitive and uses quips based on gambling jargon.
His deck has a casino motif to match this and his buddy is "Roulette Blastmech, Crimson Joker".

An aquatic dragon with the ability to absorb and discharge electricity from his body. He becomes short-tempered and hyper-energetic when he has been out of water for too long. As a result, he is unable to control his electrical power. He meets Wade, who is visiting family in the town of Durandal and is new to Labyrinth Runners at the time, and together they agree to help each other in honing their respective craft.
Shock, as he is generally called by Wade and his friends, usually has a lighthearted personality, but when anybody he considers his friend is in danger, he becomes serious.
Prepare yourselves, dry landers!

Crimson Joker is a mechanical jester who enjoys a good Labyrun, especially if it gives "The Lucky" the win! Despite his eagerness to do so, his voice is so flat that it sounds more depressed than happy.
