Project Overview
Tanner Foy is blind, she’s been this way for nearly two years. After the accident, she gave up her only passion, painting. When you can no longer appreciate your hard work, why bother, right? Will anybody ever guide her back to the brush she could once never put down?

Tanner is rather stubborn, almost standoffish. Ever since her accident, she’s had to leave both her eyesight and her paintbrush behind. Her vocal tone is rather medium and being born in the states, she’s developed a complete American accent yet she can sometimes sound a bit medium-high when she’s speaking in her mother tongue of Spanish, and that is when her accent slips out a bit.
-Narrative/Sad- Even though I was born with sight, these past two years all I’ve wondered is what life is like for those who can see. They can still create, and appreciate the beauty in the world. But I’m left in the dark, call me a pessimist but I don’t mind. Why bother creation when you can't even see your hard work?
-Pleased/Appreciative- No merezco tener a alguien como tú como mi hermano.
-Angry- I’m tired of people trying to help me! I can do this by myself! Elliot did it all alone so why the hell can’t I!
Hannah has had Social Anxiety and Depression almost her whole life, but she finds comfort and happiness in makeup, which is why she loves her salon job. With her medium high voice and shy tone, many think of her younger than her actual age.
-Worried- Oh my god, are you okay? I’m so sorry. I never know what I’m doing.
-Happy- Welcome, beautiful! How may we help you today? Our haircuts are currently 50% off for college students!
-Upset/Panicking- She-she-she… *sporadic breathing* she took all of it! It-it-it’s all gone!
Elliot loves to sing and finds so much solace in his music. There isn't anything in the world he loves more than music, except for Tanner; his baby sister. Most people don't trust him at first, with the scar on his face and medium-low vocal tone he comes off as a bit scary, but he’s really just a kid trying to get a record deal.
-Apologetic- Mamá, dije que lo siento mil veces. ¿Cuándo puedo ir a casa?
-Stressed- Tanner, can you just...come over later? I’ve been working on this piece for days and it’s finally time to get a review on it. (Small Pause) -Disappointed in self- Sorry, I….i've been so busy with music that I don't even have time for my baby sister anymore. Come on in.

Daisy is a woman with very simple taste, having Elliot at only 16 raised some eyes in her conservative Catholic upbringing in Guadalajara, Mexico. Other than her mother, Luna, and sister Chrissy, her family abandoned her. So she moved to the US when Elliot was seven, and while pregnant with Tanner. Her simple medium tone and motherly nature make her seem like a kind woman, yet she is rather strict on both her children when necessary.
-Calm- What can I say, I am a woman with simple taste. I don’t need fancy bright colors in my hair to be happy like you do, Chrissy.
-Caring- Oh mi querida hija, si es así cómo te sientes, muéstralo. No hay necesidad de esconder tu corazón.
-Serious- You can come home when you pay for the surgery. I’m sorry, Mijo but that is my answer and nothing will change.
Chrissy is much more free-spirited than her older sister, moving to the US with her mom and sister as well as her nephew. Working as an art teacher, she struggles to make ends meet at times and refuses to show that to her family. (Much too stubborn) With her medium-high and energetic tone, she makes up for her financial struggles with bubbly energy that most nearly 40-year-old women don’t have.
-Calling For- Tanner! Come on you don't want to be late on your first day, I’ve already bought us breakfast!
-Confused- I’m sorry I believe you may have the wrong residence. This is the Hernandez household.
-Sad- Mamá, por favor no digas eso. Estarás bien.
Luna has lived her entire life in Guadalajara, Mexico. She raised her daughters there and it will always be her home. But when Daisy said she wanted to live in the states for the sake of her children, Luna knew she couldn't let her go alone, so like the smart and sometimes overbearing woman she is, took herself and Chrissy with them, so they could still be a family. Even if she knows no English, she speaks to all she meets with a caring medium low tone.
-Caring- Tanner, mi hermosa nieta, ¿por qué no puedes pintar de nuevo? Tus proyectos hacen que mi viejo corazón sea tan feliz.
-Upset/Angry- ¡No tienes derecho a estar aquí! ¡Ahora ve!
-Happy/Cheerful- Feliz Navidad mis hijas! e tenido esto desde sus bautismos, creo que es hora de que los tengan.
Bella is a very recent divorcee and an extremely successful businesswoman. She is CEO of popular makeup brand, “Bossie” and spends most her days in the office going over product ideas with her employees. Her ex-husband, who fled the country after the shady and drama-inducing divorce, hasn't made contact since. It’s left Bella bitter and standoffish, hardly spending time with her daughter. Her medium and very serious tone of voice almost sticks fear into her employees and she certainly uses that to her advantage.
-Upset- If I have to say this to you one more time, Nova you will be fired! Bring me the damned formulas for Christ's sake!
-Annoyed- Nova, have I given any indication that I cared? No? Okay then shut your mouth.
-Focused- That’s nice, Hannah. I’m working can you ask the maid to take you? I don’t have time.
