Static Breach: An Indie Horror Audio Drama
Project Overview
*What Static Breach Is*
Static Breach is an original horror audio drama that I have written. It's also the first one I've ever written. It tells the story of a fictional midnight radio program in Southern Appalachia. The host, Nora Ripley, is on the air and taking calls from the community when an odd and ominous event takes place.
This work is written in a way that does NOT require perfect audio to audition, as the audio will be edited to sound like an actual radio broadcast from the late 90s. All you need to be able to do is try your best to match the descriptions I have for the role you choose to audition for.
*What You Need*
All you really need to do for your audition is to give a passionate performance! You don't need a slate or AABBCC format, but I won't overlook your audition if you decide to include those. Just do whatever you're comfortable with really. This project is meant to be fun for both you and me.
*What to Expect*
If you are chosen for a role, I will contact you on this site to congratulate you and ask for what you want to be called in the credits. I'll also ask for your preferred method of receiving your lines and sending your recordings.
For the roles I've specified that do not have lines other than the audition lines, no contact info will be needed. But if you want to re-record those lines, just let me know.
This radio drama will be posted on my personal YouTube channel, and I'll send you the link when it goes live!
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know! Have fun and good luck!

No! No, damn it… I know what I saw. These folks weren’t locals. Didn’t talk like folk here. Heard ‘em say “Appalaysha” instead of Appalachia(Apple-Atcha.) Didn’t dress like locals neither. Whole lotta clean boots for men walking in mud.
More came overnight. After the shakin’. I’m watchin’ ‘em now. Got Miller’s Ridge plum blocked off...
