The Jaceboat Network presents Stardew Valley Abridged! Join us in our attempt to abridge one of the most fun games of 2016!
This is the first casting call of many! So if there isn't a character here that you wish to voice OR if you aren't casted for a particular character, do not be alarmed! There will be more casting calls in the future!

Willy is a villager who grew up traveling among the Fern Islands and now lives south of Pelican Town on The Beach. He sells bait and fishing supplies in his shop.
A true angler has respect for the water... don't you forget that.
You caught me a fish, eh? I suppose I should think of this as a gift, but it's just a plain old bass. Nothin special about it. Sorry kid.

Jas is a villager who lives just outside Pelican Town. She's a young girl, and can often be found with her best friend Vincent.
You can play with my dolls if you want to. Just make sure to brush their hair when you're done.

Pierre is a villager who lives in Pelican Town. He owns and runs Pierre's General Store.
If you're looking for seeds, my shop is the place to go. I'll also buy produce from you for a good price! A little agriculture could really inject new life into the local economy!
I see you've started making your own seeds... I mean, my shop just stockpiled loads of seeds for the next round of harvesting, but I guess since you're making your own, it's money wasted...

Marnie is a villager who runs her own shop at Marnie's Ranch.
Animals are so innocent, so sweet. And If I don't look after them, who will? I just hope my chickens aren't too upset when I take their eggs.

Caroline is married to Pierre and they live with their daughter Abigail in Pierre's shop.
My husband runs the general store here. And have you met my daughter, Abigail? She's the pale one with the purple hair.

Pam is a villager who lives the trailer just west of the river in Pelican Town. She was the driver of the Pelican Town bus before it broke down.
I was reading the newspaper this morning but then I got depressed. It's a rotten world, kid. Keep your head screwed on right and you'll make it through in one piece... That's what my Pappy always used to say. Heh heh heh.
Hey kid, can you get me a pale ale? My throat's aching for it.

Grandpa is the first character players are introduced to. He writes a letter gifting the farmhouse, which prompts the player to move to Stardew Valley.
If you're reading this, you must be in dire need of a change. The same thing happened to me, long ago. I'd lost sight of what mattered most in life... real connections with other people and nature. So I dropped everything and moved to the place I truly belong.

Sebastian is a rebellious loner who lives in his parents’ basement. He is Maru’s older half-brother, and feels like his sister gets all the attention and adoration, while he is left to rot in the dark. He tends to get deeply absorbed in computer games, comic books, and sci-fi novels, and will sometimes spend great lengths of time pursuing these hobbies alone in his room.
The Stardew Valley Fair is a little crowded for my tastes... but I'll just hang out with Sam. It'll be good to catch up with him. You should play some carnival games,though! Don't worry about me.

Robin is the town carpenter and runs her own Carpenter's shop.
My parents were bewildered when I told them I wanted to be a carpenter. They were pretty old-fashioned.
Remember, if you need someone to expand your house or put in a window or ANYTHING to do with carpentry, my shop is up north. I don't get many customers...

Abigail lives at the general store with her parents. She sometimes fights with her mom, who worries about Abigail’s “alternative lifestyle”.
Oh that's right...I heard someone new was moving onto that old farm... It's kind of a shame, really. I always enjoyed exploring those overgrown fields by myself.
You've been in the mines before?!? How was it? Did you fight any monsters? You should bring me down there next time you go!

Evelyn Mullner is a villager who lives in Pelican Town, and is in charge of the town's flowers.

Demetrius is a villager in Stardew Valley. He resides at 24 Mountain Road, in Pelican Town, with his wife Robin, daughter Maru, and step-son Sebastian.
I'm studying the local plants and animals from my home laboratory. Have you met my daughter Maru? She's interested to meet you.
Greetings! Demetrius here. Could someone please bring me a Pike? I'm studying them as part of my biological research.

Elliott lives alone in a cabin on the beach. He is a writer who dreams of one day writing a magnificent novel. He is a sentimental “romantic” with a tendency to go off onto flowery, poetic tangents.
You always smell so good after a hard day of work. It's your natural musk! You smell sweet, my dear. Like a honeycomb drifting on a pool of spice tea.
My love...I wouldn't trade you for 100 iridium bars. No 1000...Not even 10,000 bars, no. No, not even 100,000 bars! Wa...one million bars of pure iridium...? Don't make me do this...

Lewis is the mayor of Pelican Town. Along with Robin, he greets you when you move to the Valley and explains a little bit about life on the farm.
I've been Mayor of Pelican Town for over twenty years! No one ever runs against me when it's time for an election. I like to think that it means I'm doing my job well. I like being Mayor!
(Sighs) If another person signs a contract with the Joja Corporation, I might as well sell this place. Won't be any use for it anymore.

Penny lives with her mom, Pam, in a little trailer by the river. While Pam is out carousing at the saloon, Penny quietly tends to her chores in the dim, stuffy room she is forced to call home.
That's how I feel. I'm just going to focus on making the future better.
Someone has to watch over these kids. Every night, I walk them home, just to make sure that they're safe.
