StarCraft 2: Override
Project Overview
Override is a complete retelling of the story of StarCraft II, complete with reimagined missions, completely redone voice acting, and an alternate version of events in game.
Right now we are only doing a retelling of Heart of the Swarm if Jim Raynor escaped the facility instead of Kerrigan. More roles will be available in the future, but we have had several leads drop out recently so I need to do a sizable casting call right now, and will probably do separate ones for other characters in the future when they become relevant.
While I am not particularly picky about hardware, I have to insist that you do not use your phone or laptop microphone. Good usb mics that sound amazing can be had for as low as $15, and not only do phones generally sound worse, even when they don't, there's a lot of processing going on that I'm just not interested, so thank you.

Leader of the Raiders himself, Jim is a troubled man with a drinking problem. And after rescuing Kerrigan only for the Dominion to take her recaptured form back away from him, Jim goes through a transformation throughout the campaign, becoming much more wrathful near the end.
This is VERY MUCH a main role with A LOT of lines, somewhere to the tune of 30 - 50 lines PER MISSION. There are about 21 missions in this campaign, not all of which are complete, so I will need consistent communication from you since this cannot be completed in one fail swoop.

You know what, maybe I’ll take down your Eradicator, teach you boys a little lesson. Men, move in and destroy those bots.
We’ve almost got all the meat we need. Ohh, that ain’t good. Pull back to the Command Center and defend it!
Damn, another one! These guys just don’t know when to quit! You won’t be calling your Death Fleet today.
Swann is the mechanic of Raynor's Raiders, rescued from Meinhoff in the days when the Kel-Morian Combine worked its people like slaves.
He has a New York accent and honestly not that many lines. He shows up mostly to talk about new units and for the evolution missions

Good work, Jimmy. We should have the specifications to build goliaths from our factories now.
Holy Bananas Jimmy! That thing is huge! We don’t have hardware quite that scale yet, better take it out to be safe.
Hey cowboy, you want these Wraith fighters now? They should be nimble enough to tango with the Primals.
Dark Prelate of the Nerazim and teller of the prophecy, Zeratul acts as Raynor's advisor to things greater than his understanding, but is concerned since Kerrigan has gone missing, and is the key to the prophecy that (unbeknownst to him) has been shattered.

Zerus, birthworld of the Zerg. It lies far beyond the Koprulu sector, where no Terran has ventured, yet. You must go to that ancient place, James Raynor, convince the Primal Zerg to join the fray.
Friend Raynor, I can help you retrieve meat for the Ancient One, if you can clear this area of Quillgor for a base. Thank you, Friend Raynor. Surely my aid will be worth the trouble.
If you are to communicate with the primal Zerg, you will need an emissary. The Ancient One must be awakened. Only he is old enough to have shrugged away the violence of constant evolution, and is capable of diplomacy.
Recently I have had trouble finding time to actually actually implement the voice acting into the modded missions we're making. I need someone to do this for me, and most everyone on our team currently is either unable or unwilling to do so, and even someone to do one mission would be a great help.
Familiarity with the StarCraft 2 editor is not required, I will show you exactly what I need you to do and gladly help out along the way, and even if mistakes are made, it is MUCH easier for me to correct mistakes than do this entire process from scratch.
If you're interested in this position just put your discord in your audition, I honestly don't care that much about how much you do or don't know about game development, this is not difficult work, it's just work I don't have time for anymore.

Valerian is the son of Arcturus, emperor of the Dominion. He opposes his father by helping Jim, and shares announcer duties with Marr Horner.
Valerian has quite a few lines throughout the campaign and right now I am playing him and have already recorded well over 60 lines for him, my "audition" is attached. I will happily recast if someone else does a better job as him, just keep in mind when auditioning that this role is technically already cast, I would just like for somebody to do better than me.

Stop! I didn’t ask you to create Zerglings! Shut down the experiment. Get sentry bots in there to clean up this incursion! Lockdown on the sublevel and power up the Eradicator, nothing gets out!
Jim, we’re reading a massive force from the Tal’Darim, bearing straight for the command center. Dammit! I knew trusting Narud was a bad idea. And now he has a Zerg brood to kill us all with.
Excellent, the worker can harvest meat from the corpse. But the process is slow, and our worker will be vulnerable to attack. We’ll need to protect it until the harvesting is finished.
BEFORE AUDITIONING Understand, I am currently playing this role, I would like to see someone do it better than me, which is why it's here, and my audition is in for you to hear, but understand that this role is less likely to be cast than the above ones.
Dehaka is a primal pack leader that follows Kerrigan in the base game, and is somewhat tepid about Jim in this one, but sees him as a tool to gain power over the other pack leaders. He is driven by essence and essence alone, making him one-note, but he has a VERY unique voice.

I am Dehaka. One who collects. I feast upon essence. Kill, consume.
The other pack leaders are a tree, a rock. I am a river. They stay still, I change. Where essence flows, I follow.
She is powerful, dangerous. I join you to fight her. But no essence comes to dead primals, I will flee if I must.

Tosh is a spectre from Project Shadowblade, a known eccentric and probably a terrorist, Tosh's morals are always in question, but he is a steadfast ally to Jim Raynor. With the sickest Jamaican accent in the history of mankind, Tosh is difficult to nail down, but extremely fun to play.

I see the mighty Jim Raynor’s on the move. Good job escaping the Protoss alive, but they’ve sent a Mothership after you. Fortunately, I can slip in undetected and kill the Protoss for you, as a favor, you can’t kill Mengsk if you get vaporized by the Protoss.
Don’t you worry Mr. Raynor, I’ll take it down from the inside. Can do, Brother. A sentry! It can see me and alert its allies! Even with my stealth. Damn shame, I should take out detectors quickly next time.
Good, let the Protoss kill each other, then I kill who’s left. Don’t let the Protoss kill the Ursadon, I can use its power. Who’s a good boy?

Zurvan, The Ancient One, is the oldest known non-Xel'Naga entity, a primal Zerg that witnessed the corruption of the Zerg into the Swarm that we know it as today. He is patient for eons of evolution, and is extremely powerful from just as long consuming other Primals and evolving. Sometime many millenia ago he fell into hibernation which the Raiders awoke him from with meat upon discovering Zerus.

I return. Such bravado, for a creature so feeble.
Long ago, Amon, the fallen xel’naga, came to Zerus. He forged the Zerg into a weapon, and took them away. Yet some of us were hidden, overlooked. We multiplied. We remain pure. If you seek our power, you must survive our trials.
*slow, menacing laughter*
Matt is Jim's second in command, eventually becoming an admiral for the reformed Dominion, but not yet. He does act very admiral like though, somehow managing to sound like a commander, while also a good friend to Jim.
This is VERY MUCH a leading role, sharing announcer duties with Valerian, debatably having more lines at times than Jim himself. Consistent communication with you is a must since these lines cannot be finished in one fail swoop.

Sir, before we jumped, our scanners tracked multiple Dominion signatures headed down to the surface. You’re going to have a hell of a time trying to wait them out for Kerrigan.
Sir, this moon has pockets of intense cold called flash freeze storms. One storm is approaching now. It will push temperatures down so fast that almost all thermal energy will be lost. The storm will pass quickly but while it’s here, our men will be frozen in place.
A warp conduit. It seems to be connected to a planet outside of our database. It must be Slayn! We should destroy the conduits then. Sir, the Protoss have launched a shuttle. It’s en route to a warp conduit.
