Space Truckers - A Star Trek Fan Audio Drama EPISODE 2
Project Overview
Welcome to "Space Truckers - A Star Trek fan Audio Drama".
Space Truckers came from a concept I had many years ago (almost 15 years ago now). The week before my wedding, I was still living at home with my parents and I wasn't sleeping well. One night, a week before the wedding, I woke up and a story popped into my head fully formed. That night I wrote a several thousand word story from start to finish which turned out to be the first episode of Space Truckers.
The story is about 3 people who have never joined Starfleet.
Munro: a 30-40 year old male who has had several jobs but no real direction in his life.
Kell: a young woman in her late teens to early 20s. We know virtually nothing about her history.
Terry: A large human male, at least 7ft tall, has a big build and is very strong. He also has special educational needs. Some have advised that I should change Terry to being a Pakled, but I feel that is disingenuous to the character I have written.
I have had about 15 years of working in a home supporting adults with special needs and also working in a FE college with teenagers who have special needs. My wife has worked with people with special needs for even more time than I have, so we have a lot of experience. Terry is an amalgam of traits and different people I have supported.
These 3 people meet through happenstance and are employed by a Ferenghi who runs an organisation that as well as running cargo from one place to another, offers another service as well. Space Truckers is set during the Dominion War and because StarFleet and the Federation are so stretched, there are situations that the Federation does not have the resources to deal with or are politically too sensitive to get involved with. So the trio are employed to help in these situations....for a price of course. Think a bit like, Mission Impossible (the original series) and a bit of the A-Team, set in the Star Trek Universe and none of the main characters are in Starfleet, so they don't have access to all the fancy tech.
That's Space Truckers in a large nut shell. It started about 15 years ago, took ages to write, accelerated because of Covid, and brought in 3 friends to help write the series. It even helped 2 of my friends to get to know each other and ended up in marriage.
So yeah, that's Space Truckers that I hope to debut on the 8th of September 2026.

PS: Some of the episodes in the series deal with bullying, mental health and trauma. But the series also deals with forgiveness and aspiring to improve oneself.

If you care about her welfare at all, I suggest you comply with my invitation to leave. If not, perhaps your young child will not find her hosts to be so... accommodating... as they might have been.
