Project Overview
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)—frequently referred to as Sonic '06—is famous for its turbulent history. However, thanks to the incredible work of community projects like Project '06 and Legacy of Solaris, fans have finally been able to appreciate the true potential and beauty hidden within this game.
This comic dub project aims to do exactly that: celebrate the narrative and world of Sonic '06 through high-quality voice acting and dynamic video editing.
The project currently has one fully completed chapter, with Chapter 2 actively in development and expected to release soon. We are looking for passionate creators to join us in bringing this vision to life!
This dub is an adaptation of an incredible fan comic series. Voice actors and editors are highly encouraged to read through the source material to familiarize themselves with the story, pacing, and character tones:

Production & Deadlines
Whether you are juggling school, exams, or a full-time job, this project is built on a flexible and realistic timeline.
Line Deadlines: Once cast, voice actors will have 3 to 4 weeks to turn in their lines for a chapter.
Director Note: I am heading to college this September! Because my schedule will be busy too, production will move at a steady, relaxed pace. Real life and school always come first—just keep in touch if you need an extension!

For those wondering where the Shadow the Hedgehog role is—I will be personally voice acting as him for this project! The rest of the main cast is completely open, and I can't wait to hear your submissions.

As video editor you will be responsible for taking raw comic panels, voice acting files, and official game audio assets to create a polished, well-paced final video.

Voice Actor
In this specific story, Sonic is a relaxed, sincere, and protective hero. He is less about loud, over-the-top snark and more about effortless, cool confidence. He acts as a pillar of strength and emotional support for Elise and his friends.
We are ideally looking for a portrayal close to Jason Griffith’s era (specifically his performance in Sonic '06 / Sonic X). This means focusing on a smoother, slightly deeper throat-register tone rather than a high, nasal delivery. It should sound youthful yet grounded, capturing Sonic's signature charm with a more down-to-earth energy. Note: While a Griffith-inspired take is highly preferred due to the 2006 setting, it is not a strict requirement—we are open to any great interpretation that fits this specific tone!

Creepy, cold, and calculated. Heavily inspired by Dan Green’s legendary, spine-chilling performance in Sonic '06. The voice should sound dark, smooth, and almost whispery, but with a terrifying power behind it. Avoid making him sound angry; Mephiles is always calm, smug, and completely in control.
