Project Overview

The story starts with...

Coda, an aloof and introverted guitarist(who is a husky) traveling to the fictitious city of Taldory, where she meets her polar opposite, warm and excitable roomate, Crispe(who is a bordercollie). The story focuses on their newfound friendship and the insecurities and challenges Coda faces trying to form close attachment, stemming from a troubling past with her past relation.

This is a PASSION DRIVEN film, and it's currently in the start of production.

  • We need a VA for Coda, who is the main character of the film. perferrbly with experiences .

  • I'm an experienced film maker, animator and digtal artist. I have done many short films in the past all by myself. But this time, I am working on this project with a few volunteer modellers, writers, animators, and a voice actor(for Crispe).

  • I plan on submitting this film to film festivals(but no promises), and everyone will be credited.

  • Artistic exploration and passion is the only and pure goal of this project, so I do not aim to make any money off of this. so particpation is completely volunteery and unpaid.

Earlier video showcasing the character modelling/rigging processes. The characters are much more polished at the current state.

What to expect:

We will be working closely side by side. I'll send you sketches or "rough animation" for your reference to help you voice act and I'll animate the characters to the voices! also you will be working with Crispe's VA for some interaction dialogues.

  • completely online, I'll send the things you need on discord, and we can also discuss about the story/character etc there!

  • This project is expected to take many months to complete, so you must be serious about this, and be there and ready! :)

Art style and world building:

Inspired by spider-verse, oil paintings and 2d experimental animations. Real scratchy and sketchy pencil styles and bold texturing.

The world is inspired by Canada, Calgory, Banff with its nature view and mountainous terrains. the world is also full of dog people (inspired by Zootopia, but dogs only)

Character:

Husky, 20yr, singer & guitarist

Coda is someone who are introverted but emotional. However, to other people, she often seems aloof and bold. coupled with the fact that Coda is naturally rebellious and tomboyish, there is a sense of dominance in her voice.


In her free time, Coda would pratice the eletric guitar and sing in her little room. She plays not to reach the stage, but to reach the secret place in her heart. And it has always been the only way she knows.

Mature female voice, rebellious, thoughtful, deep, slight melanchoic, bold, 

shoegaze/soft rock singer (singing not required but its good to have)
