Smoke in the water - CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE GAME
Project Overview
Smoke in the water is an interactive visual novella game, following the protagonist Clara as she navigates the wacky world of her school (And the alleyways surrounding it.) The novella will be 13+ due to large amounts of profanities, and occasional character death. All voice actors must be able to scream, as the chances are there is at least one route where you die.
The aim of the project is to be eventually uploaded to itch.io, starting off free and adding a price tag should it become really popular- this is when talent would be paid, if it were to happen.

Clara is the main character of the story, and will have many routes, meaning a variety of tones are required. She can be brash, but also quiet- personality can be dictated by player.
Must be able to do lines loudly, so please avoid having people nearby who would be bothered if you did so. Please have as little feedback as possible. If you know you have lots of background noise, please speak extra loudly so we can drown it out.

Charlotte is Clara's brash best friend, and a recurring role within the story lines. She must be able to yell, and much like Clara, you must be able to do sassiness. Her voice should be more rough or androgynous than feminine.

I may cast 2 people, but for now, only 2 male teachers are confirmed, Mr. Collins and Mr. Thomas. Preferably looking for someone able to differ their voice just enough to do both teachers, just to save the hassle.

Mr. Collins is not presented as a nice person throughout the series, his first offense which has already been coded in being placing a camera in the girls changing room. If you are not comfortable playing a character who is confirmed to be a predator, please don't apply!!

Alright class, last week I set you an artist research homework on Lisa Rich. Please have it out in front of you so I can confirm you have completed it.
Well, you'd do best to remember it next time. Bring it to me before school tommorow morning, or it's a detention.
Artist needed to create the icons for each character. Must be proficient in facial expressions, and able to make clear PNGs (If unsure, please mention so and I will walk you through how to do so on your application)

Every good visual novel needs a background to bring it to life; and it'd be your job to create them. You would be aided by myself, and you will be given creative freedom with rough guidelines of where the characters are.

Vocals can get boring without any background music, and as the musician, it would be your job to bring the scene to life with instrumentals.

Whilst no experience is required, please submit examples of past work if possible. As a scriptor, you would be aiding myself in the creation of dialogue for the cast.

As planner, you will join me in the mindmap of planning all routes. Please note, it will get very complicated very quickly, if all goes to plan. Routes will be interwining, different situations occur based on trust and friendship with characters, and many other things. Only requirement is access to discord.
