From a wealthy Long Island-style family, he's rebellious against their pressure to settle down and "go straight" he loves the arts, which is why he pursued architecture and co-owns the shop. Smokes and drinks a bit, reckless vibe, non-committal in relationships. Spends big on designer clothes (Balenciaga, etc.) for himself and the crew using freelance arch job money. Mid-range male voice (not deep/baritone), heavy AAVE and slang-heavy delivery smooth, cocky, laid-back confidence with playful edge, occasional defiance or frustration when family comes up. Xavier Sorenson is a 23-year-old in "Slow Burn"  Sims 4 machinima urban romance/drama with narration and voice-over. Engineering and film school dropout; has been doing tattoos since 16. Co-owner of Saint's Ink (tattoo shop opened with friends' help; Jaydon is also co-owner/works there). Holds his emotions tightly bottled up, but they spill over intensely especially in his relationship with his girlfriend. Struggles with substance use; weed smoking and heavy cigarette use dabbled in other stuff but not often but rare drinking only when stressed). Deeply affected by his twin brother's freak accident death (on the way to a party) and his grandfather's death 9 months later. Responsible for raising/protecting his two younger brothers. He is the brooding type who smokes a lot

Savannah Rusell (female supporting)

Amari Gaines is 28, architecture and design graduate and owns XXpressiv Design Co, in "Slow Burn" – Sims 4 machinima urban romance/drama with narration and voice-over. From a wealthy Long Island-style family, he is the first-born and son and grandson for his family. He focuses all his time on his job and trying to get his brother on track with his life. He is a bit stoic and reserved but that is due to growing up in a very performance-based household, where he had to conform a lot and couldn't talk back.  Mid-range male voice (not deep/baritone), heavy AAVE and slang-heavy delivery smooth, cocky, laid-back confidence with playful edge, occasional defiance or frustration when family comes up. Handles casual banter, reckless energy, mature language, emotional layers (e.g., brushing off seriousness). Project has strong language, adult/NSFW themes, drug/alcohol references (18+ only).

Solene is a warm, funny, and deeply caring music producer who works independently. Good enough to be respected, but not “big industry” status. She’s the type who knows everyone, moves through rooms easily.

She’s best friends with the main female lead and acts as her grounding force. Solene has a carefree, slightly wild personality and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She jokes a lot, moves fast, and has a habit of jumping between being emotionally insightful and completely unserious in the same breath.

Personality: No-nonsense but noticeably more lax than Ashlee. He’s stern and expects a lot from his sons, but he’s also the one who will give a second chance or try to understand before fully shutting down. He’s closer to Amari (the responsible eldest) and more frustrated/disappointed with Jaydon. He’s a man who respects hustle because he lived it, but he now values structure, legacy, and education.

Sho Souma/Sorenson is a 20-year-old college student who is majoring in Software Engineering. He is a bit bold in his words but a calm nature. His emotion lives underneath. Needs a calm measured voice with occasional moments of restrained frustration or concern.

Adam Souma Age: 17. The youngest brother. Still figuring out who he is. More reactive than Sho his older brothers due to his upbringing than his older brothers. His feelings show more easily. He is very blunt and does not care if he hurts your feelings. Avid gamer and occasionally flunks history. 

Ashlee Gaines 

Age: 47 Former Profession: AP Calculus AB (High School) Current Role: Co-owner / Financial & Operations Manager of Gaines Design Co. (Architecture Firm) Personality: Strong-willed, no-nonsense, strict, ambitious, and deeply traditional when it comes to family legacy and education. She has high standards and very little tolerance for “throwing away potential.” 

Background & Personality 

Ashlee is the backbone of the family. She left teaching to help her husband Nasir turn his construction experience into a respected architecture firm. She’s proud of the fact that she helped build Gaines Design Co. “from the ground up.” She’s extremely disciplined, values hard work, education, and status. 

She sees her children’s achievements as a reflection of her own success and sacrifice. This makes her especially hard on her son who chose a tattoo shop over the family business. 

Vocals: Warm but firm. Think “loving but no-nonsense.” Her voice can feel comforting and steady when she’s in “good mom” mode, but it quickly shifts to sharp and disappointed when she’s correcting or lecturing.

Character Summary 

Michael Russell, 52, is the widowed father of Savannah Russell and the founder/CEO of M.R. Consultants, a prestigious strategic consulting firm. After losing his wife when Savannah was only 5, he raised her as an only child with the highest standards and elite education. He is sophisticated, highly intelligent, protective, and controlling in a calculated way. 

He is heavily Eli Pope-coded (from Scandal): calm, strategic, intimidating without raising his voice, and ruthless when it comes to his daughter’s future. 

Personality: Controlled intensity, strategic thinker, loving but demanding father. He shows love through high expectations rather than warmth

Whitney is a no-nonsense Circuit Court Judge. She is elegant, sharp, and extremely strict. She holds Nick to the highest standards and is vocal about her disappointment in his journalism job and cinematography pursuits. She’s loving but tough but she is the classic “I sacrificed for you” parent.
